Role of ZnO-CeO_2 Nanostructures as a Photo-catalyst and Chem.-sensor

ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures were synthesized by sim.le and effcient low tem.erature m.thod. The structure and m.rphology of the ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction （XRD） and field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy （FESEm., which revealed elongated shaped CeO2 nanoparticles with diam.ters of 40–90 nm.distributed on the surface of elongated ZnO nanostructures with diam.ters of 50–200 nm.（edge–centre）. Further the structure of the synthesized ZnO-CeO2 nanostructure was supported by Ram.n spectra and Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. UV-vis absorption spectrum.was used to confirm.the optical properties of the CeO2 doped ZnO nanostructures. Photo-catalytic activity of CeO2 doped ZnO nanostructure was evaluated by degradation of acridine orange and m.thylene blue which degraded 84.55% and 48.65% in 170 m.n, respectively. ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures also showed good sensitivity （0.8331 μA·cm.2·（m.l/l）-1） in short response tim. （10 s） by applying to chem.cal sensing using ethanol as a target com.ound by I-V technique. These degradation and chem.cal sensing properties of ZnO-CeO2 nanostructures are of great im.ortance for the application of ZnO-CeO2 system.as a photo-catalyst and chem.cal sensor.

We investigate the accretion process for static spherically sym.etric geom.try, i.e., m.gnetically charged regular black hole with isotropic fluid. W＇e obtain generalized expressions for the velocity （u（r））, speed of sound （cs2）, energy density （ρ（r）） and accretion rate （m. at the critical point near the regular black hole during the accretion process. We also plot these physical param.ters against fixed values of charge, m.ss and different values of equation of state param.ter to study the process of accretion. We find that radial velocity and energy density of the fluid rem.in positive and negative as well as rate of change of m.ss is increased and decreased for dust, stiff, quintessence fluid and phantom.like fluid, respectively.

We exam.ne the effects of an unparticle U as a possible source of m.ssing energy in the p-wave decays of a B m.son. The dependence of the differential branching ratio on the K0^＊（K1） - m.son＇s energy is discussed in the presence of scalar and vector unparticle operators and significant deviation from.the standard m.del value is found after addition of these operators. Finally, we have shown the dependence of the branching ratio for the above-m.ntioned decays on the param.ters of unparticle stuff like effective couplings, cutoff scale Au and the scale dim.nsions du.

In this study, the m.an droplet diam.ter in the cavity zone and the total m.ss transfer area of a m.lti-stage highspeed disperser(HSD) reactor with different packing com.inations were m.asured and evaluated. The effects of rotational speed and packing radius, as well as the packing ring radius and num.ers, on the m.an droplet diam.ter and the total m.ss transfer area were evaluated. A m.del was established to calculate the m.ss transfer area in the cavity zone in the HSD reactor, and it was found that the packings contribute 61%–82% of the total m.ss transfer area. A correlation for predicting the m.ss transfer area in the packing zone was regressed by the dim.nsionless analysis m.thod. An enhancem.nt factor based on the m.ss transfer area in the packing zone was proposed to evaluate the effect of packing com.ination on m.ss transfer area. Two optim.m.packing com.inations were proposed in consideration of the m.an droplet diam.ter and the enhancem.nt factor.

Resilience as a concept is m.lti-faceted with com.lex *** a disaster context,there is lack of consistency in conceptualizing social *** results in am.iguity of its definition,properties,and pathways for assessm.nt.A num.er of key research gaps exist for critically reviewing social resilience conceptualization,projecting resilience properties in a disaster-developm.nt continuum.and delineating a resilience trajectory in a m.ltiple disaster *** review addressed these research gaps by critically reviewing social resilience definitions,properties,and *** review found four variations in social resilience definitions,which recognize the im.ortance of abilities of social system. and processes in disaster phases at different levels.A review of resilience properties and pathways in the disaster resilience literature suggested new resilience properties—“risk-sensitivity”and“regenerative”in the tim.line of two consecutive *** review highlights a causal pathway for social resilience to better understand the resilience status in a m.lti-shock scenario by depicting inherent and adaptive resilience for consecutive disaster scenarios and a historical case study for a resilience trajectory in a m.ltiple disaster *** review findings will assist disaster m.nagem.nt policym.kers and practitioners to form.late appropriate resilience enhancem.nt strategies within a holistic fram.work in a m.lti-disaster tim.line.

Dy2O3 is a rare earth oxide having a num.er of advanced applications in various fields including protective or antireflective coatings,m.in objective of this novel research work is to check the effect of Cr and Cu addition on different properties of Dy2O3 and achievem.nt of antireflective thin film. with enhanced abso *** film. of these m.terials we re deposited using DC m.gnetron with reactive *** studies reveals the crystalline nature of thin film. having Dy2O3(222)reflection in all sam.les with Cr2O3(116)and CuO(111)reflections in Cr and Cu containing *** em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy dem.nstrates the hom.geneous deposition of thin film. with uniform.shape,size and distribution of *** index,extinction coefficient and absorption coefficient significantly increase while optical reflectance decreases with Cr and Cu m.diation corroborating an im.roved antireflective *** im.ginary part of dielectric constant is found to increase slightly with low tangent loss for Cr containing com.osition co nsidered favorable for energy storage applications.
