BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic posed a danger to global public health because of the unprecedented physical,mental,social,and environmental impact affecting quality of life(QoL).The study aimed to find the changes in QoL among COVID-19 recovered individuals and explore the determinants of change more than 1 year after recovery in low-resource ***-19 patients from all eight divisions of Bangladesh who were confirmed positive by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction from June 2020 to November 2020 and who subsequently recovered were followed up twice,once immediately after recovery and again 1 year after the first *** follow-up study was conducted from November 2021 to January 2022 among 2438 individuals using the World Health Organization Quality of Life Brief Version(WHOQOL-BREF).After excluding 48 deaths,95 were rejected to participate,618 were inaccessible,and there were 45 cases of incomplete *** statistics,paired-sample analyses,generalized estimating equation(GEE)analysis,and multivariable logistic regression analyses were performed to test the mean difference in participants’QoL scores between the two *** participants(n=1710,70.1%)were male,and one-fourth(24.4%)were older than *** average physical domain score decreased significantly from baseline to follow-up,and the average scores in psychological,social,and environmental domains increased significantly at follow-up(Pmale(Pmission during COVID-19 illness(Pmore chronic diseases(Pmale sex[adjusted odd ratio(aOR)=1.3,95%confidence interval(CI)1.0–1.6]were associated with reduced social domain scores on multivariable logistic regression *** or semi-urban peo

Determination of Ketoprofen in Human Plasma by RP-HPLC

For in vivo pharmacokinetic studies, it is pre-requisite to quantify drug concentrations in plasma. In the present study a RP-HPLC procedure was developed and validated for the assessment of ketoprofen in human plasma. For this purpose mobile phase consisting of methaol:water (70:30) adjusted to pH 3.3 with phosphoric acid was used, and chromatography was carried out on Discovery HS C18 column, 5 μm (25 cm × 4.6 mm). The flow rate was 1 mL·min-1 and quantitative assessment was performed at 260 nm. The retention time was found to be was found to be accurate and illustrated linearity from 0.2441 to 125 μg·mL-1 with the determination coefficient (r2) of 0.9999, also accuracy and precision were found to be mL-1, 15.625 μg·mL-1, 7.812 μg·mL-1 and 1.953 μg·mL-1 were found to be 99.747%, 99.475%, 98.457% and 99.824% respectively where as for interday accuracy consecutive values for days 1, 2 and 3 were 99.104%, 99.091%, 98.96% and 99.385% in plasma. All validation parameters were assessed and were found to be within the limits. The proposed method was accurate, specific, quick (retention time min), selective (showed no interference with excipients), cost effective and a good resolution which gave this method an advantage over the different other reported methods for the estimation of ketoprofen in human plasma.

癫痫性发作、持续状态及痫样节律性活动是常见的病理性脑部放电状态,通常会在急性脑损伤患者的脑电图(EEG)中表现出来。完成此类病理性波形的有效标记,是进一步诊断与治疗相关疾病的重要前提。为辅助神经内科专家对不同病理波形进行快速标记,文中提出了一种全新的辅助检测标记系统。该系统分别采用特征提取、PCA降维和LE映射可视化等技术,实现EEG中同质模式簇的自动检测。所提方法对哈佛医学院/麻省总医院中10例ICU患者的长时程连续脑电图进行了系统分析。数值实验结果表明,海量脑电数据能够被有效地自动聚类为多种ICU典型标准波形,而且仅通过观测类中心及若干同类成员就能够达到有效标记的目标。同时,LE可视化结果也进一步证实了"发作间期-发作期"连续统假设是成立的。

Herein we report an electrochemical DNA biosensor for the rapid detection of sequence (5’ AAT GGA TTT ATC TGC TCT TCG 3’) specific for the breast cancer 1 (BRCA1) gene. The proposed electrochemical genosensor is based on short oligonucleotide DNA probe immobilized onto zinc oxide nanowires (ZnONWs) chemically synthesized onto gold electrode via hydrothermal technique. The morphology studies of the ZnONWs, performed by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEm), showed that the ZnO nanowires are uniform, highly dense and oriented perpendicularly to the substrate. Recognition event between the DNA probe and the target was investigated by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) in 0.1 m acetate buffer solution (ABS), pH 7.00;as a result of the hybridization, an oxidation signal was observed at +0.8 V. The influences of pH, target concentration, and non-complimentary DNA on biosensor performance were examined. The proposed DNA biosensor has the ability to detect the target sequence in the range of concentration between 10.0 and 100.0 μm with a detection limit of 3.32 μm. The experimental results demonstrated that the prepared ZnONWs/Au electrodes are suitable platform for the immobilization of DNA.

To develop an advanced human society in this era smart energy consumption is a major *** this regard,highly economical and renewable energy sources *** energy and hydrogen energy are ideal choices in scientific research *** photovoltaic and electrochemical energy conversion systems,dye-sensitized solar cells(DSSCs) and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) have some major advantages such as cost effectiveness,easy assembly,higher power conversion efficiency(PCE),low overpotential and nature ***,we have designed a series of electrocatalytic materials by doping manganese(mn) and Cobalt(Co) alone as a single metal and together(Co/mn) as bimetal into Ziff-8 based N-doped carbon structures to investigate the synergistic effects after each *** performances were observed after integration of mn and Co as(mn@NC and Co@NC) respectively,which were further intensified by bimetal incorporation of Co/mn together as Co/mn@*** solar cell devised with low-cost Co/mn@NC based counter electrode exhibits higher PCE than that of platinum electrode(8.05% vs.6.85%).Additionally,in electrochemical water splitting the catalyst Co/mn@NC exhibits a small overpotential at a current density of 10 mA cm-2 in 1 m *** work imposes towards a modern perspective to develop a highly efficient hybrid electrocatalyst having a promising approach to perform as multifunctional catalysts in hydrogen evolution reaction,triiodide reduction reaction,and also in advanced clean energy production systems.
