Anthocyanins play diverse roles in plant physiology and stress *** Arabidopsis,the myb–bHLH–WD40(mbW)complex has a crucial role in the regulation of anthocyanin ***,we report that the R2R3-myb transcription factor myb30 and the ubiquitin E3 ligase RHA2b participate in anthocyanin biosynthesis through regulation of the mbW ***30 was found to negatively regulate sucrose-induced anthocyanin biosynthesis in Arabidopsis *** of multiple genes involved inflavo-noid or anthocyanin biosynthesis was affected in the myb30 mutant,and myb30 directly repressed the expression of myb75,which encodes a core component of the mbW complex,by binding to its ***,myb30 physically interacted with myb75 to inhibit its activity by repressing mbW complex *** addition,sucrose treatment signicantly promoted myb30 degradation via the action of *** ubiquitination and degradation of myb30 were signicantly attenuated in the rha2b mutant un-der high-sucrose treatment,and further analysis showed that myb75 directly promoted RHA2b expression in response to high *** work thus reveals an anthocyanin biosynthetic regulatory module,RHA2b–myb30,that controls the function of the mbW complex via *** repression of myb75 by myb30 is released by myb75-induced RHA2b expression,thus ensuring the self-activation of myb75 when anthocy-anin synthesis is needed.

The influence of high-density pulsing current on the work-hardening behaviour of H0Cr17Ni6mn3 and 1Cr18Ni9 stainless steels in wire-drawing deformation processes has been studied. It was found that the drawing stress and the work-hardening rate of wires were significantly reduced by applying current pulses in drawing process. The work-hardening behavior of the multi-courses drawing deformation can be well described by Hollomon formula σ=κΕn. With the application of current pulses in drawing deformation, the work-hardening exponents of H0Cr17Ni6mn3 steel wires and 1Cr18Ni9 stainless steel wires were reduced by 33% and 45%, respectively, and their work-hardening coefficients were reduced by 41% and 47%, respectively. It was also found that the work-hardening coefficient of wires was reduced with the increment of the frequency of current pulses, while the work-hardening exponents of both steels were insensitive to the pulsing frequency.

We have experimentally presented a watt-level noise-like (NL) pulse mode-locked all-polarization-maintaining(Pm) fiber laser centered at ~1995 nm, which can directly generate stable NL pulses with a maximum output power of ~1.017 W and pulse energy of ~0.61 μj, representing the highest output power of mode-locked NL pulse at 2 μm from any fiber oscillators,to the best of our knowledge. The mode-locked NL pulse laser exhibits an excellent stability with a power fluctuation of~0.1% in 8 h of monitoring, and a signal-to-noise ratio of ~83 db at a fundamental frequency of ~1.662 mHz. moreover, the pulse envelope and coherence spike width of the NL pulse can be widely tuned from ~4.5 ns to ~16 ns, and ~364 fs to~323 fs, respectively, with the enhancement of the pump power. Such an all-Pm fiber oscillator is the ideal seed source for the implementation of a high-power NL pulse laser and has potential valuable applications in mid-infrared spectroscopy and industrial processing.

As a classical technique for chaos suppression,the time-delayed feedback controlling strategy has been widely developed by stabilizing unstable periodic orbits(UPOs)embedded in chaotic systems.A critical issue for achieving high controlling precision is to search for an appropriate time *** paper proposes a simple yet effective approach,based on incremental harmonic balance method,to determine the optimal time delay in the delayed feedback *** time delay is adjusted within the iterative scheme provided by the proposed method,and finally converges to the period of the target *** long as the optimal time delay is fixed,moreover,the attained solution makes it quite convenient to analyze its stability according to the Floquet theory,which further provides the effective interval of the feedback gain.

Systematic approaches to improving the performance of polyoxometalates in non-aqueous redox flow batteries

Polyoxometalates have been explored as multi-electron active species in both aqueous and non-aqueous redox flow batteries. Although non-aqueous systems in principle offer a wider voltage window for redox flow battery operation, realization of this potential requires a judicious choice of solvent as well as polyoxometalate properties. We demonstrate here the superior performance of N,N-dimethylformamide(DmF)compared to acetonitrile as a solvent for redox flow batteries based on Li3Pmo12O40. This compound displays two 1-electron transfers in acetonitrile but can access an extra quasi-reversible 2-electron redox process in DmF. A cell containing 10 mm solution of Li3Pmo12O40 in DmF produced a cell voltage of 0.7 V with 2-electron transfers(State of Charge = 60%) and showed a good cyclability. As a means to boost energy density, operation of the redox flow battery at a higher concentration of 0.1 m Li3Pmo12O40 produced cells with cell voltage of 0.6 V in acetonitrile and a cell voltage of 1.0 V in DmF;both showed excellent coulombic efficiencies of more than 90% over the course of 30 cycles. Energy density was also increased by employing an asymmetric cell with different polyoxometalates on each side to extend cell ***6P2W18O62 exhibited 3 quasi-reversible 2-electron transfers in the potential range between-2.05 V and-0.5 V vs. Ag/Ag+. 10 mm Li6P2W18O62/Li3Pmo12O40 in DmF produced a cell with cell voltage of 1.3 V involving 4-electron transfers(State of Charge = 50%) with coulombic efficiency of nearly 100% and energy efficiency of nearly 70% throughout the test with more than 20 cycles. These promising results demonstrate proof-of-concept approaches to improving the performance of polyoxometalates in non-aqueous redox flow batteries.

This article designs a 14-bit successive approximation register analog-to-digital converter(SAR ADC).A novel digital bubble sorting calibration method is proposed and applied to eliminate the effect of capacitor mismatch on the linearity of the SAR ADC. To reduce the number of capacitors, a hybrid architecture of a high 8-bit binary-weighted capacitor array and a low 6-bit resistor array is adopted by the digital-to-analog(DAC). The common-mode voltage VCm-based switching scheme is chosen to reduce the switching energy and area of the DAC. The time-domain comparator is employed to obtain lower power consumption. Sampling is performed through a gate voltage bootstrapped switch to reduce the nonlinear errors introduced when sampling the input signal. moreover, the SAR logic and the whole calibration is totally implemented on-chip through digital integrated circuit(IC) tools such as Design Compiler, IC compiler, etc. Finally, a prototype is designed and implemented using 0.18 μm bipolar-complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CmOS)-double-diffused mOS 1.8 V CmOS technology. The measurement results show that the SAR ADC with on-chip bubble sorting calibration method achieves the signal-to-noise-and-distortion ratio of 69.75 db and the spurious-free dynamic range of 83.77 db.
