Background Ovarian follicular fluid(FF)is a dynamic environment that changes with the seasons,affecting follicle development,ovulation,and oocyte *** in the follicles release tiny particles called extracellular vesicles(Evs)containing vital regulatory molecules,such as microRNAs(miRNAs).These miRNAs are pivotal in facilitating commu-nication within the follicles through diverse signaling and information transfer ***-coupled miRNA signaling is implicated to be associated with ovarian function,follicle and oocyte growth and response to various environmen-tal ***,we investigated how seasonal variations directly influence the ovulatory and anovulatory states of ovarian follicles and how are they associated with follicular fluid Ev-coupled miRNA dynamics in *** Ultrasonographic monitoring and follicular fluid aspiration of preovulatory follicles in horses during the ano-vulatory(spring:non-breeding)and ovulatory(spring,summer,and fall:breeding)seasons and subsequent Ev isola-tion and miRNA profiling identified significant variation in Ev-miRNA cargo *** identified 97 miRNAs with dif-ferential expression among the groups and specific clusters of miRNAs involved in the spring transition(miR-149,-200b,-206,-221,-328,and-615)and peak breeding period(including miR-143,-192,-451,-302b,-100,and let-7c).Bioinformatic analyses showed enrichments in various biological functions,e.g.,transcription factor activity,transcrip-tion and transcription regulation,nucleic acid binding,sequence-specific DNA binding,p53 signaling,and post-trans-lational *** analyses revealed distinct sets of significantly up-and down-regulated miRNAs associ-ated with spring anovulatory(Cluster 1)and summer ovulation–the peak breeding season(Clusters 4 and 6).Conclusions The findings from the current study shed light on the dynamics of FF-Ev-coupled miRNAs in relation to equine ovulatory and anovulatory seasons,and their roles in understanding the

A solvable model of lateral line of a fish based on a wave equation with additional boundary conditions on a set of isolated points is *** the framework of this model it is shown that the ratio of pressures on lateral lines on different fish flanks,as well as the cross section of sound scattering on both the lines,strongly depends on angles of incidence of incoming sound *** strong angular dependence of the pressure ratio seems to be sufficient for the fish to determine the directions from which the sound is coming.

The rapid growth of machine learning(mL)across fields has intensified the challenge of selecting the right algorithm for specific tasks,known as the Algorithm Selection Problem(ASP).Traditional trial-and-error methods have become impractical due to their resource *** machine Learning(AutomL)systems automate this process,but often neglect the group structures and sparsity in meta-features,leading to inefficiencies in algorithm recommendations for classification *** paper proposes a meta-learning approach using multivariate Sparse Group Lasso(mSGL)to address these *** method models both within-group and across-group sparsity among meta-features to manage high-dimensional data and reduce multicollinearity across eight meta-feature *** Fast Iterative Shrinkage-Thresholding Algorithm(FISTA)with adaptive restart efficiently solves the non-smooth optimization *** validation on 145 classification datasets with 17 classification algorithms shows that our meta-learning method outperforms four state-of-the-art approaches,achieving 77.18%classification accuracy,86.07%recommendation accuracy and 88.83%normalized discounted cumulative gain.

On January 7,2025,01:05:15 UTC （9:05 *** time） southern Tibet was rocked by a mw7.1 earthquake （mw=moment magnitude,USGS） centered（28.639°N 87.361°E） in the Lhasa Block north of the India/Eurasia Plate boundary,in a remote area about 180km SW of Xigaze,in Dingri County of Shigatse of the Xizang Autonomous Region （Figure 1）.The China Earthquake Networks Center measured the magnitude differently,using surface wave magnitude,ms,at *** of Jan.10,a total of 126 people were confirmed dead,another 188 injured,and about 61 500 people displaced from their *** region is currently being shaken by thousands of aftershocks,which are likely to continue for weeks or *** than 14 000 search and rescue personnel have been deployed to the epicentral region.

Working memory is a core cognitive function that supports goal-directed behavior and complex *** developed a spatial working memory and attention test on paired symbols(SWAPS)which has been proved to be a useful and valid tool for spatial working memory and attention studies in the fields of cognitive psychology,education,and *** repeated administration of working memory capacity tests is common in clinical and research *** suggest that repeated cognitive tests may improve the performance scores also known as retest *** systematic investigation of retest effects in SWAPS is critical for interpreting scientific results,but it is still not fully *** address this,we recruited 77 college students aged 18–21 years and used SWAPS comprising 72 trials with different memory loads,learning time,and delay *** repeated the test once a week for five weeks to investigate the retest effects of *** were significant retest effects in the first two tests:the accuracy of the SWAPS tests significantly increased,and then *** findings provide useful information for researchers to appropriately use or interpret the repeated working memory *** experiments are still needed to clarify the factors that mediate the retest effects,and find out the cognitive mechanism that influences the retest effects.

Investigations into rail corrugation within metro systems have traditionally focused on specific mechanisms,thereby limiting the generalizability of proposed *** the commonalities in rail corrugation across diverse metro lines remains pivotal for elucidating its underlying *** present study conducted extensive field surveys and tracking tests across 14 Chinese metro *** employing t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding(t-SNE)for dimensional reduction and employing the unsupervised clustering algorithm DBSCAN,the research redefines the classification of metro rail corrugation based on characteristic *** analysis encompassed spatial distribution and temporal evolution of this *** revealed that floating slab tracks exhibited the highest proportion of rail corrugation at 47%.Notably,ordinary monolithic bed tracks employing damping fasteners were more prone to inducing rail *** primarily manifested in curve sections with radii between 300 and 500 m,featuring ordinary monolithic bed track and steel-spring floating slab track structures,with wavelengths typically between 30 and 120 ***–slip vibrations of the wheel–rail system maybe led to short-wavelength corrugations(40–60 mm),while longer wavelengths(200–300 mm)exhibited distinct fatigue damage characteristics,mainly observed in steel-spring floating slab tracks and small-radius curve sections of ordinary monolithic bed tracks and ladder sleeper tracks.A classification system comprising 57 correlated features categorized metro rail corrugation into four distinct *** research outcomes serve as critical benchmarks for validating various theories pertaining to rail corrugation formation.
