Background:Anthropogenic disturbance can negatively affect an animal's energy budget by evoking movement *** research focuses mainly on immediate displacement as a disturbance effect,since this can be easily observed in the field. However, effects on movement over longer timescales are poorly examined and it is largely unknown if and to what extent they reflect immediate ***-term responses could for example be larger than immediate responses if birds, after disturbance, return to the original location and thereby travel twice the immediate disturbed distance. methods:We combined GPS tracking data with observational data to quantify the effects of anthropogenic (air force and walkers) and non-anthropogenic disturbances on distances travelled by roosting Eurasian Oystercatchers (Haematopus ostralegus) during the non-breeding season. We compared immediate displacement after a disturbance with distance travelled during the entire high tide period (longer-term response), while accounting for environmental ***,we calculated energy expenditure due to disturbance based on observed disturbance ***:Disturbance resulted in an immediate displacement response of ~200 m (median).Air force disturbances tended to yield larger immediate responses than walker and,especially,than non-anthropogenic ***-term responses and immediate responses were approximately similar,suggesting that,over longer timescales,spatial disturbance effects in the study area remain confined to immediate ***,disturbances were infrequent (0.17 disturbances per bird per hour) and most disturbances were of natural origin (62%).Consequently, anthropogenic disturbance of roosting oystercatchers in the study area on average costs 0.08% of the daily energy expenditure. 本文就我国浙江天目山产麻蝇族二新种进行了记述。其中之一隶于一新属,另一隶于鬃麻蝇属的一新亚属。所有正模和副模标本均保存在上海昆虫研究所。须麻蝇属 Dinemomyia新属模式种:Dinemomyia nigribasicosta新种属征:颊约为眼高的1/4。前胸侧板中央凹陷无毛,前中鬃缺,后中鬃一对细弱,后背中鬃3。前缘基鳞黑色。第四腹板后端具密集的小毛;第五腹板窗大,侧叶长而端部宽阔。尾器:基阳体瘦长;膜状突一对,呈细小的扁须状;侧阳体基部腹突特别发达;中插器大形,侧插器一对相当短小。本属现仅一种。本属与花麻蝇属Phallantha近缘,但后者的前缘基鳞淡色,第四腹板无密毛被,阳体膜状炎大而宽阔,扩展成花朵状。

Intravitreal Bevacizumab for the Treatment of Chronic or Recurrent Central Serous Chorioretinopathy

Background: We report the use of intravitreal bevacizumab as an option for the treatment of chronic or recurrent central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC). methods: Eight eyes with chronic or recurrent CSC received intravitreal bevacizumab (1.25 mg/0.05 cc) and underwent best corrected visual acuity (VA), optical coherent tomography (OCT), fluorescein angiography (FA) and indocyanine green angiography (ICG) before, and one, three and six months after treatment. Results: All patients showed improvement in visual acuity, fluorescein angiographic leakage, choroidal hyperpermeability and reduced or resolved neurosensory detachment following treatment. Two patients require a second dose of intravitreal bevacizumab. Conclusions: Intravitreal injection of bevacizumab was associated with visual improvement and reduced neurosensory detachment without adverse events in patients with chronic or recurrent CSC. Although these results are promising, further investigations would be helpful to understand this therapy for patients with CSC.

Background:Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is an endocrine disorder that occurs in women of child-bearing ***,PCOS patients have decreased pregnancy rates and clomiphene citrate *** traditional Chinese medicine formula Kun-Tai-1S(KT1S),consisting of the seahorse species hippocampus,has been reported to elicit therapeutic effects in patients with ***,given the limited resources and global demand for wild hippocampus,whether KT1S with or without hippocampus can elicit similar therapeutic effects has not been ***:KT1S and Kun-Tai-1A(KT1A,KT1S without dry hippocampus)were used to treat a letrozole-induced rat model of PCOS with an established *** serum levels of testosterone,luteinizing hormone,anti-müllerian hormone,and estradiol were determined,the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio was determined,and the ovarian pathology was ***:Similar to the therapeutic effects of cyproterone acetate,both the KT1S and KT1A treatments reduced the body weight and ovarian and uterine indices in the rats with *** serum levels of testosterone,anti-müllerian hormone,and luteinizing hormone and the luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio were significantly lower in the KT1S and KT1A treatment groups compared to the model group(Pmoreover,the histopathological assessment results suggested that both the KT1S and KT1A treatments significantly ameliorated the PCOS pathology in the rats with an established disease,with a reduced number of cystic and atretic follicles and an increased number of corpora lutea being observed in the ***,there was no obvious difference in the disease outcomes between the KT1S and KT1A-treated *** pharmacology analysis revealed that 4’,7-dihydroxyflavanone,sinpemine A,quercetin,8-isopentenyl-kaempferol,and luteolin in KT1A may promote estrogen signaling;furthermore,the nitric oxide regulation pathway is also cl

The first search for the doubly heavy Ωbc0baryon and a search for the Ξbc0baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 *** baryons are reconstructed via their decays to ∧c+π-andΞc+π-.No significant excess is found for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 meV/c2,in a rapidity range from2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 meV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ωbc0andΞbc0production cross-section times the branching fraction to ∧c+π-（Ξc+π-） relative to that of the ∧b0（Ξb0） baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95% confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5×10-4to 2.5×10-4for theΩbc0→∧c+π-(Ξbc0→∧c+π-) decay,and from 1.4×10-3to 6.9×10-3for the Ωbc0→Ξc+π-(Ξbc0→Ξc+π-) decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of the Ωbc0(Ξbc0) baryon.
