Presented in this paper is a precise investigation of the effect of surface stress on the vibration characteristics and instability of fluid-conveying nanoscale *** this end,the nanoscale pipe is modeled as a Timoshenko *** equations of motion of the nanoscale pipe are obtained based on Hamilton＇s principle and the Gurtin-murdoch continuum elasticity incorporating the surface stress ***,the generalized differential quadrature method is employed to discretize the governing equations and associated boundary *** what extent important parameters such as the thickness,material and surface stress modulus,residual surface stress,surface density,and boundary conditions influence the natural frequency of nanoscale pipes and the critical velocity of fluid is discussed.

A plate of dual phase steel was produced from low carbon steel with intercritical annealing treatment. Its optically determined surface microstructure was utilized to construct three different microstructural models. To describe the ductile damage in the ferritic matrix, the Gurson-Tvergaard-Needleman model was used with the failure in the martensite phase being ignored. The numerical results obtained for the mechanism of void initiation and coalescence were compared with the experimental observations. The numerical results obtained from the randomly extruded 3D model showed a significantly better agreement with the experimental ones than those obtained from the 2D model or the uniformly extruded 3D model.

Effects of Pits and mounds Following Windthrow Events on Soil Features and Greenhouse Gas Fluxes in a Temperate Forest

Pit and mound micro-relief(resultant microsites from trees uprooted by windthrow) could have regimes of microclimate and soil features that differ from areas of undisturbed soil. In an attempt to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the significance of pits and mounds on soil features and also the dynamics of greenhouse gas(GHG) fluxes at local scale, this study was carried out in a reserved area of Darabkola forest in mazandaran Province, northern Iran. The age of a pit and mound was considered equal to the degree of decay of the blown down tree. Three microsites were distinguished, consisting of pit bottom(PB), mound top(mT) and undisturbed area(UA). Soil samples were taken at 0–15 and 15–30 cm depths from all microsites and analysed for soil physical, chemical and biological features. Our findings suggested that in context of forest ecology, pits and mounds following windthrow events should be considered as an effective factor influencing soil features(i.e., density, texture, water content, p H, organic C, total N, available nutrients and earthworm density/biomass) and especially GHG fluxes. Results showed that mT acted as a sink for N2O(-0.010 mg N2 O m-2d-1) and CH4(-0.257 mg CH4m-2d-1) fluxes and also produced lower CO2 concentrations(0.095 mg CO2 m-2d-1) than PB(0.207 mg CO2 m-2d-1) and UA(0.098 mg CO2 m-2d-1). As a consequence, a separation into pits/mounds would be important for a precise budgeting of greenhouse gases.

A novel bioactive foam emulsion bioreactor for benzene,toluene and xylene(BTX)contaminated air streams treatment has been *** gas-liquid interfacial area by biocompatible foam and driving force for mass transfer by a water immiscible organic phase were increased in this *** effect of several parameters such as gas residence time,oxygen content,and organic phase concentration on bioreactor performance was studied. Experimental results showed an average elimination capacity(EC)of 220 g·m3·h -1with removal efficiency(RE) of 89.59%for BTX inlet concentration of 1 g·m3at 15 s gas residence time in the *** statistical developed model predicted that the maximum elimination capacity of the reactor for BTX could be reached to 423.45 g·m3·h -*** operation of the bioreactor with high EC and RE was demonstrated by optimizing the operational parameters of the *** the results suggest that the bioreactor developed can be very effective systems to treat BTX vapors.

The inhibition of corrosion of steel in molar hydrochloric acid solution by new synthesized DmI （（3-（3,4-dimethoxyphenyl）isoxazole-5-yl） methanol） compound is studied by weight loss and electrochemical polarization measurements. The two methods give consistent results. The polarization curves indicate that the DmI compound acts as mixed-type inhibitor. This compound is efficient inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency increases with the increase of inhibitor concentration to reach 96% at 10-3 m for DmI. The temperature effect on the corrosion behavior of steel in 1 m HCI with and without the DmI compound at 10-3 m is studied in the temperature range from 298 to 318 K. The adsorption of inhibitor on the steel surface is found to obey the Frumkin adsorption isotherm model. From the adsorption isotherm, some thermodynamic data for the adsorption process （f, K and △Gads） are calculated and discussed.

AIm:To investigate the effect of mEK/ERK1/2 pathway on peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARγ)agonist-induced alterations in Δ6-desaturase(Δ6D)and stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1(SCD1)in hepatocellular carcinoma cell line ***:HepG2 cells cultured in RPmI-1640 were exposed to the commonly used ERK1/2 pathway inhibitor PD98059 and PPARγ agonist,*** RNA was isolated and reverse transcribed from treated *** in gene expression and metabolites ratio,as activity index for Δ6D and SCD1,were then determined using reverse transcriptionpolymerase chain reaction and gas liquid chromatography,***:The expression of both Δ6D(P = 0.03)and SCD1(P = 0.01)increased following PD98059 treatment,with a higher impact on SCD1(24.5%vs 62.5%).Although pioglitazone increased the mRNA level(1.47 ± 0.10 vs 0.88 ± 0.02,P = 0.006)and activity index(1.40 ± 0.07 vs 0.79 ± 0.11,P mEK inhibition in the presence of pioglitazone,as compared with pioglitazone alone and control ***,the response of Δ6D expression and activity index to pioglitazone was unaffected by incubation with ***:PPARγ and ERK1/2 signaling pathway affect differentially and may have inhibitory crosstalk effects on the genes expression of 6D and SCD1,and subsequently on their enzymatic activities.
