Ballistic design and testing of a composite armour reinforced by CNTs suitable for armoured veh.cles

Th.s paper is investigating th. use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for th. protection of ligh. armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military veh.cles(mAV), and th. interaction between th. composite materials and h.gh.performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front h.brid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and th. metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adh.sive tech.ology. Th. proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground veh.cles;h.wever, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. Th. design of th. protection system, including material selection and th.ckness, was elaborated depending on th. performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design ph.losoph. wh.ch.is analysed with.th. specifications. Th. backplate of th.s new composite is a h.brid material of metal matrix Composite(mmC) reinforced with.carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with.th. use of powder metallurgy tech.ique. Th. composite backplate material was morph.logically, mech.nically and ch.mically analysed. Results sh.w th.t all plates are presenting h.gh.mech.nical properties and ballistic ch.racteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for th. total composite armour systems. After th. ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 sh.wed th. best protection results, compared with.th. oth.r plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with.th. projectile being unable to fully penetrate th. composite plate.

Predicting th. Stitch.Density of Finish.d Fabrics Using Weft Blended Grey Knit Fabrics

Stitch.density is one of th. critical quality parameters of knit fabrics. Th.s parameter is closely related to oth.r ph.sical quality parameters like fabric weigh., fabric tigh.ness factor, fiber types, blend ratio, yarn diameter and linear density, and fabric structure. Selecting stitch.density (wales per inch. course per inch. is essential to getting th. appropriate fabric weigh. and desired quality. Usually, no rules or assumptions exist to get th. desired stitch.density in th. finish.d fabric stage. Fifteen types of blended knit fabrics were prepared to conduct th. study. Th. varying percentages of cotton, polyester, and elastane are incorporated in th. blends. Regression analysis and regression ANOVA tests were done to predict th. stitch.density of finish.d fabrics. A suitable regression equation is establish.d to get th. desired results. Th. study also found th.t th. stitch.density value in th. finish.d stage fabric decreases by approximately 15% compared to th. stitch.density in th. grey fabric stage. Th.s study will h.lp th. fabric manufacturers get th. finish.d fabric stitch.density in advance by utilizing th. grey fabric stitch.density data set. Th. auth.r expects th.s research.to benefit th. knitting and dyeing industry, new research.rs, and advanced research.rs.

CD28-ARS2 axis suppressed th. expression of th. m1 isoform of pyruvate kinase in favor of PKm2,a key determinant of CD8+T-cell glucose utilization,interferon gamma production,and antitumor effector ***,PKm alternative splicing occurred independently of CD28-driven PI3K path.ay activation,revealing a novel means by wh.ch.costimulation reprograms glucose metabolism in CD8+T cells.

A new empirical formula for th. astroph.sical S-factor h.s been suggested as a function of th. Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with.^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with.atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections h.ve been estimated using th. geometric factor,th. Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and th. empirical formula for th. *** study's findings sh.wed better agreement with.th.se of available experiments wh.n compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value th.n Wong's formula wh.n used to correlate th. experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections wh.n th. center of mass energy is below th. fusion barrier wh.n compared to above th. fusion barrier.

Th. prevalence of organoph.sph.te pesticides in aquatic environments raises severe concerns on a global ***,an insecticide,is included in a class of organoph.sph.te *** is widely used on agricultural lands to control pests in cotton,fruit,and *** acute toxicity of ch.orpyrifos is still dangerous to all aquatic living *** th. treatment of water contaminated with.ch.orpyrifos is an important *** recent decade h.s witnessed adsorption tech.ology emerging as an advanced organoph.sph.te pesticide wastewater treatment with.great potential and a grand blueprint,in wh.ch.th. specific surface area and active sites of th. adsorbent are considered to be th. two most important ch.racteristics largely impacting th. adsorption *** th.s study,a CS-mgO/Zeolite composite was prepared by th. microbial meth.d as an effective adsorbent for th. removal of ch.orpyrifos from an aqueous *** adsorbent's properties were carefully ch.racterized using Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and Fourier-transform infrared *** refinement of experimental conditions,encompassing variations in adsorbent dosage,contact time,and ch.orpyrifos concentration at five discrete levels,was systematically undertaken th.ough.th. utilization of a composite central design rooted in response surface *** solution ph.played a key role in ch.orpyrifos removal,and a ph.of 7.0 was selected according to its h.gh.adsorption *** h.gh.st removal(80.9%)of ch.orpyrifos by CS-mgO/Zeolite was obtained at an optimum ph.of 7,a contact time of 40 min,an adsorbent dosage of 0.4 g/L,and a ch.orpyrifos concentration of 5 mg/L^(-1).Th. adsorption results were h.gh.y fitted with.th. Water stress is a critical environmental adversity th.t significantly impacts th. growth.development,and yield of flax *** th.s study,flax seeds were cultivated under different water irrigation requirements(WIR)(100%,75%,and 50%)to investigate th. effects of exogenously supplied nitric oxide(NO)donor sodium nitroprusside(SNP)as foliar treatments at concentrations of 0.0 mmol/L,0.5 mmol/L,1.0 mmol/L,and 2.0 mmol/*** stress led to a significant decrease in plant growth.ph.tosynth.tic pigments,yield components such.as oil and total carboh.drate *** also resulted in an increase in leaf h.O2 production,lipid peroxidation levels and activities of enzymatic antioxidants including polyph.nol oxidase,superoxide dismutase,and nitrate reductase ***,foliar application of SNP improved ph.tosynth.tic pigments and antioxidant defense system wh.ch.mitigated th. negative impact of water stress on growth.and yield productivity by reducing oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species *** use of SNP also decreased h.(2)O_(2) accumulation levels,lipid peroxidation levels,and improved membrane *** treatment at concentration of 2 mmol/L sh.wed superior results compared to oth.r concentrations with.extremely significant increases observed in yield ch.racteristics such.as oil content,total carboh.drate percentages,and unsaturated fatty acids to saturated fatty acids ratio.
