Root hairs(RHs)grow in a polar manner as cylindrical protrusions from the root epidermis.They significantly expand the root volume in the rhizosphere to search for water and nutrients,anchor the plant,and promote interactions with several kinds of microorganisms in the soil.Trichoblasts,the epidermis cell type responsible for RH development,switch from anisotropic cell elongation to tip growth through polarization of the growth machinery to a predefined RH initiation domain(RHID)at the plasma membrane.

The release of proinflammatory cytokines during inflam-mation represents an attempt to respond to injury, but it may produce detrimental effects. The inflammasome is a large, multiprotein complex that drives proinflammatory cytokine production in response to infection and tissue injury; the best-characterized inflammasome is the nod-like receptor protein-3(NLRP3). Once activated, inflammasome leads to the active form of caspase-1, the enzyme required for the maturation of interleukin-1beta. Additional mechanisms bringing to renal inflammatory, systemic diseases and fibrotic processes were recently reported, via the activation of the inflammasome that consists of NLRP3, apoptosis associated speck-like protein and caspase-1. Several manuscripts seem to identify NLRP3 inflammasome as a possible therapeutic target in the treatment of progressive chronic kidney disease. Serum amyloid A(SAA), as acute-phase protein with also proinflammatory properties, has been shown to induce the secretion of cathepsin B and inflammasome components from human macrophages. SAA is a well recognised potent activator of the NLRP3. Here we will address our description on the involvement of the kidney in autoinflammatory diseases driven mainly by secondary, or reactive, AA amyloidosis with a particular attention on novel therapeutic approach which has to be addressed in suppressing underlying inflammatory disease and reducing the SAA concentration.

The previous ideology of complexity factor for the dynamical spheres[Herrera et al 2018,Phys.Rev.D,98,104059]is extended for the influence of charge.A dynamical spherically symmetric non-dissipative and dissipative self-gravitating structure is examined in the presence of maxwell f(G)gravity to examine the complexity factor.The pattern of evolution is studied with the minimal complexity constraint.The complexity factor remains the same for the structure of fluid distribution,while we examine homologous constraints for the most basic evolution pattern.We calculate the structure scalars which play an important role in order to understand the fundamental properties of the system.The fluid is geodesic as well as shearing for the dissipative case and there is a large number of solutions.In the non-dissipative fluid distribution,a shear-free,homogeneous and isotropic,geodesic fluid correlates with the evolving homologous and vanishing complexity condition.The implication of the condition of vanishing complexity factor and stability are discussed at the end.

A series of undoped and lanthanide doped mIL-53(Fe)/Ln-Fe_(3)O_(4)(Ln=La,Nd,or Gd) metal-organic frameworks(mOFs) were prepared by the solvothermal method.All prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) measurements,scanning electron microscopy(SEm),and thermal analysis.XRD and FT-IR results ascertain the successful mOF formation for all prepared samples.mIL-53(Fe)/La-Fe_(3)O_(4) has the smallest particle size of 8.6 nm,the largest BET surface area of 54.2 m^(2)/g,and the highest porosity.Undoped and different lanthanide doped mIL-53(Fe) we re employed as sorbents for the removal of methylene blue(mB)dye from aqueous solutions to examine the doping benefit and the effect of the dopant size on the sorption performance.Doping causes mOFs to act as pH-independent sorbents,which make it applicable at any condition.Adsorption follows pseudo-second-order kinetic model,and doped sorbents attain equilibrium faster.Langmuir isotherms are followed,except for mIL-53(Fe)/La-Fe_(3)O_(4).The adsorption capacity increases with increasing the dopant ion size,100.5 mg/g for La-doped mOF,which is about four times higher than that of undoped mOF.The adsorption mechanism involves chemical interactions between Lewis acid in magnetite mIL-53(Fe) series and Lewis base in mB.

本文研究了热处理对AISI 321奥氏体不锈钢(ASS)管微观结构、晶粒尺寸和纹理及其腐蚀行为的影响。将原始的粗粒径钢试样((35±3)μm)先在液氮温度下冷轧减厚20%、50%和90%,随后在750、950和1050℃下退火处理15 min。试样在750℃退火后发生再结晶,随着退火温度升高至950和1050℃,出现二次再结晶(晶粒异常生长)和晶粒生长。结果表明,在厚度减少20%后,由于γ-纤维的增强和Σ3边界的形成,试样的耐蚀性(21.1 kΩ·cm^(2))较初始条件(3.9 kΩ·cm^(2))显著提高。当轧制厚度减少90%时,试样的耐蚀性降低,但仍表现出比原始试样更高的耐蚀性。在750和950℃退火处理冷轧减厚90%的试样中,微观组织分布更加均匀,Goss和黄铜纹理成分出现,晶粒细化,耐蚀性比原始试样更高。经1050℃退火处理后,试样粒径明显增大((112±76)μm),微观组织分布不均匀,耐蚀性最低(1.3 kΩ·cm^(2))。

We compare and contrast the materials and mechanisms of continental crustal growth in the largest preserved regions of Phanerozoic and Archean juvenile additions to the crust,to test for similarities or differences in the formation of continents through time.We accomplish this through a comparison of map patterns,lithological contents,and structural and metamorphic evolution of the Phanerozoic Altaid orogenic system of Asia,with the Archean Superior Province of the North American Craton,using a method termed comparative orotomy.Both orogenic systems consist of collages of curvilinear belts of eroded arcs,some older continental slivers,and vast tracts of former subduction/accretionary complexes.These contain numerous shreds of portions of the ophiolite suite,slivers of island and continental arcs,and accreted oceanic plateau,all intruded by multiple magmatic suites during or between multiple deformation events,then sliced by large transcurrent fault systems and bent into large oroclinal structures.We make this comparison because the Superior Province is a typical Archean craton that was later,in the P aleoproterozoic,incorporated into the larger North American Craton,and has occupied a central position in several super continents(e.g.Kenorland and Nuna,which then formed the core of Columbia,Rodinia,Laurentia and Pangea) during its longevity.Since it is the largest single fragment of Archean continental cratonic lithosphere preserved on Earth,the Superior Province is widely regarded as a testing ground for how Earth’s continental crust was formed.Likewise,the Altaids encompass the largest region of crustal growth for the Phanerozoic.Our comparison with the Altaids is needed,as in recent years many myths about how the planet may have responded to higher heat production and flow in the Archean have emerged,because of trends in the science where regional geology is ignored in favor of numerical models,isotopic proxies for assumed models of chemical behavior for crust-forming or tectonic processes,or comparisons with o

It is necessary to pay particular attention to the uncertainties that exist in an engineering problem to reduce the risk of seismic damage of infrastructures against natural hazards.moreover,certain structural performance levels should be satisfied during strong earthquakes.However,these performance levels have been only well described for aboveground structures.This study investigates the main uncertainties involved in the performance-based seismic analysis of a multi-story subway station.more than 100 pulse-like and no pulse-like ground motions have been selected.In this regard,an effective framework is presented,based on a set of nonlinear static and dynamic analyses performed by OpenSees code.The probabilistic seismic demand models for computing the free-field shear strain of soil and racking ratio of structure are proposed.These models result in less variability compared with existing relations,and make it possible to evaluate a wider range of uncertainties through reliability analysis in Rtx software using the monte Carlo sampling method.This work is performed for three different structural performance levels(denoted as PL1ePL3).It is demonstrated that the error terms related to the magnitude and location of earthquake excitations and also the corresponding attenuation relationships have been the most important parameters.Therefore,using a faultestructure model would be inevitable for the reliability analysis of subway stations.It is found that the higher performance level(i.e.PL3)has more sensitivity to random variables than the others.In this condition,the pulse-like ground motions have a major contribution to the vulnerability of subway stations.

In this paper,a theoretical model is developed on the basis of systems theory,which structures the livelihood system of low-income households in a European country characterized by a semi-peripheral economy.Based on the proposed model,the complex system of network connections and formal and informal financial transactions,which households use in their daily lives to cover their expenses,becomes graspable.The proposed theoretical model is analyzed through simulations based on agent-based modelling(ABm)centred on empirical network data.Through the simulations,the author explores the mechanisms of the market and asks what formal and informal credit transactions determine its operation,how these factors shape the local social structure and how resilient the market is to crises.The results show that this dynamic,complex risk-sharing system has an inherent logic and it can mitigate the small liquidity shocks but it is not resistant to bigger financial shocks or overconsumptions.

This article deals with an increasing total profit for inventory optimal ordered quantity and partial backlogging with the holding cost depending on the storage time period,and the rate of market demand is assumed to fluctuate as a function,based on level of stock and selling price.Thereafter,using the concept of a Hessian matrix,we have proved the concave nature of the profit function for the case where maximum cost is obtained.Finally,in order to validate the derived models,numerical examples and sensitivity analysis are explained.Through numerical test,we show that the proposed algorithms give quite satisfactory solutions.Hence,it can be concluded that the total profit can be increased by allowing shortage and partial backlogging.

This research was undertaken to study the effect of Zr-enhanced plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO) as a pretreatment on the corrosion performance of epoxy coating applied on magnesium in 3.5 wt.% Na Cl solution. The parameters of delamination index along with coating damage index were extracted through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) tests to determine how Zr may affect the corrosion protection of duplex PEO/epoxy coated samples. Pull-off adhesion tests were also accomplished to form a better understanding of Zr-enhanced PEO coating’ function. According to the obtained results, the presence of Zr can reduce the damage to the coating system by almost twice.
