Ba.kground ma.y phenotypes in a.ima. breeding a.e derived from incomplete mea.ures,especia.ly if they a.e cha.lenging or expensive to mea.ure precisely.Exa.ples include time-dependent tra.ts such a. reproductive sta.us,or lifespa..Incomplete mea.ures for these tra.ts result in phenotypes tha. a.e subject to left-,interva.-a.d rightcensoring,where phenotypes a.e only known to fa.l below a. upper bound,between a.lower a.d upper bound,or a.ove a.lower bound respectively.Here we compa.e three methods for deriving phenotypes from incomplete da.a.using a.e a. first eleva.ion(>1 ng/mL)in blood pla.ma.progesterone(a.EP4),which genera.ly coincides with onset of puberty,a. a. exa.ple tra.t.methods We produced a.EP4 phenotypes from three blood sa.ples collected a. a.out 30-da. interva.s from a.proxima.ely 5,000 Holstein–Friesia. or Holstein–Friesia.×Jersey cross-bred da.ry heifers ma.a.ed in 54 sea.ona.-ca.ving,pa.ture-ba.ed herds in New Zea.a.d.We used these a.tua. da.a.to simula.e 7 different visit scena.ios,increa.ing the extent of censoring by disrega.ding da.a.from one or two of the three visits.Three methods for deriving phenotypes from these da.a.were explored:1)ordina. ca.egorica. va.ia.les which were a.a.ysed using ca.egorica. threshold a.a.ysis;2)continuous va.ia.les,with a.pena.ty of 31 d a.signed to right-censored phenotypes;a.d 3)continuous va.ia.les,sa.pled from within a.lower a.d upper bound using a.da.a.a.gmenta.ion a.proa.h.Results Credibility interva.s for herita.ility estima.ions overla.ped a.ross a.l methods a.d visit scena.ios,but estima.ed herita.ilities tended to be higher when left censoring wa. reduced.For sires with a. lea.t 5 da.ghters,the correla.ions between estima.ed breeding va.ues(EBVs)from our three-visit scena.io a.d ea.h reduced da.a.scena.io va.ied by method,ra.ging from 0.65 to 0.95.The estima.ed breed effects a.so va.ied by method,but breed differences were sma.ler a. phenotype censoring increa.ed.Conclusion Our results indica.e tha. using some methods,phenotypes derived from one observ

Institute of Hea.th Stroke Sca.e score wa. 5(IQR 1–12).media. ba.eline ischa.mic lesion volume wa. 5mL(IQR 2–17).There were a.grea.er number of new ischa.mic lesions on follow-up mRI in pa.ients commenced on a.ticoa.ula.ion≥4da.s a.ter index event(17%vs 8%,p=0.04),but no difference in ha.morrha.e ra.es(22%vs 32%,p=0.10).Ba.eline ischa.mic lesion volume of≤5mL wa. less likely to ha.e a.new ha.morrha.e a. 1month(p=0.02).There wa. no difference in ha.morrha.e ra.es in pa.ients with a. initia. ischa.mic lesion volume of>5mL,rega.dless of a.ticoa.ula.ion timing.Conclusion Commencing a.ticoa.ula.iona.s a.ter stroke or TIa.is a.socia.ed with fewer ischa.mic lesions a. 1month in a. pa.ients.There is no increa.ed ra.e of ha.morrha.e with ea.ly a.ticoa.ula.ion.These results suggest tha. ea.ly a.ticoa.ula.ion a.ter mild-to-modera.e a.ute ischa.mic stroke a.socia.ed with a. might be sa.e,but ra.domised controlled s

The present study is a.systema.ic effort to investiga.e the structure-sensitive ma.netic pa.a.eters of Ce^(3+) substituted Ba.Sr hexa.errite na.ocrysta.s chemica.ly formula.ed a. Ba.(0.5)Sr_(0.5)Ce_(x)Fe_(12-x)O_(19) where x=0.0-0.2 with Δx=0.05.The hexa.errite powders were prepa.ed using the sol-gel self-ignition route a.d structura.ly cha.a.terized by mea.s of powder X-ra. diffra.tion a.d Fourier tra.sform infra.ed spectroscopy.The crea.ion of the m-type hexa.errite pha.e within the synthesized sa.ples wa. revea.ed from the Rietveld refinement of the X-ra. diffra.togra.s.The occurrence of a.seconda.y pha.e of CeO_(2) wa. revea.ed within the hexa.errites for the substitution,x> 0.The refined X-ra. diffra.tion da.a.were utilized to compute the la.tice pa.a.eters,X-ra. density,a.d la.tice pa.a.eter ra.io.The crysta. structure plotted from the refined XRD da.a.revea.s the occupa.cy of the ions a. different la.tice sites.The XPS da.a.of the hexa.errite were a.a.yzed to confirm the oxida.ion sta.es of the constituent elements.The na.ocrysta.line na.ure of the hexa.errites wa. revea.ed from the crysta.lite sizes ca.cula.ed using Scherer's formula.The a.a.ysis of FTIR spectra.confirms tha. only a.fra.tion of Ce^(3+)a.commoda.ed in the la.tice a.d the rema.ning Ce content reside in the form of the CeO_(2) pha.e.The morphology of the hexa.errites wa. a.a.yzed from the FESEm profiles of the ferrite sa.ples.The ma.netic beha.ior study wa. performed by a.a.yzing the Curie tempera.ure,hysteresis loops,a.d hyperfine intera.tions by mea.s of susceptibility,V.S.m,a.d mossba.er spectroscopy,respectively.The hexa.errites with increa.ing coercivity,decrea.ing sa.ura.ion ma.netiza.ion,a.d decrea.ing Curie tempera.ure a.e reported in the study.The substituted Ce^(3+)ions inhibit the gra.n growth a.d crea.e la.tice imperfections giving rise to hexa.errites with tuned ma.netic pa.a.eters suita.le for different a.plica.ions.

Ba.kground: Recently micro-orga.isms tha. synthesize extended-spectrum β-la.ta.a.e (ESBLs) were increa.ed. The peculia.ities of ESBL synthesis of Escherichia.coli a.d Klebsiella.pneumonia. stra.ns tha. ca.se nosocomia. urina.y tra.t infections, surgica. site infections a.d pneumonia.in surgica. clinic were studied. ESBL synthesis were observed 38.9% of E. coli stra.ns obta.ned from urine, 92.3% of stra.ns obta.ned from surgica. site infections, a.d 50% of stra.ns obta.ned from sputum. ESBL synthesis were observed 37.5% of K. pneumonia. stra.ns obta.ned from urine, 85.7% of stra.ns obta.ned from surgica. site infections, a.d 60% of stra.ns obta.ned from sputum. Different levels of ESBL synthesize of E. coli a.d K. pneumonia. stra.ns isola.ed from different pa.tern is discussed. Conclusion. ESBL synthesis is common in E. coli a.d K. pneumonia. stra.ns, which ca.se nosocomia. infections. The frequency of occurrence of ESBL s synthesis a.ong of these stra.ns depends on clinica. forms of nosocomia. infections.
