Electrocatalysis enables the industrial transition to sustainable production of chemicals using abundant precursors and electricity from renewable ***-centralized production of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))from water and oxygen of air is highly desirable for daily life and *** report an effective electrochemical refinery(e-refinery)for H_(2)O_(2)by means of electrocatalysis-controlled comproportionation reaction(2_(H)O+o→2HO),feeding pure water and oxygen *** nickel(Ⅱ)oxide(NiO)was used as electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER),producing oxygen at the *** polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)(PEDOT:PSS)drove the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR),forming H_(2)O_(2)on the *** reactions were evaluated in both half-cell and device *** performance of the H_(2)O_(2)e-refinery,assembled on anion-exchange solid electrolyte and fed with pure water,was limited by the unbalanced ionic *** of the operation conditions allowed a conversion efficiency of 80%.

AIm:To investigate the effects of exogenous testosterone treatment on the choroidal parameters in patients with androgen ***:Right eyes of 24 patients with androgen deficiency and 31 healthy volunteers were included in the *** eyes were scanned for subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT),choroidal vascularity index(CVI),choroidstromal area(C-SA),choroid-luminal area(C-LA),choroidstromal to luminal area ratio(CSLR),and the choroidal parameters within central 1500μm of the macula(CVI1500,C-LA1500,C-SA1500,and CSLR1500)by enhanced-depth imaging optical coherence tomography(EDI-OCT)at baseline,6th and 18th weeks of the exogenous testosterone ***:The mean SFCT values of the androgen deficient groups and healthy controls were 307.7±27.0 and 303.2±37.2μm(P=0.8).However,CVI,C-SA,CSLR,CVI1500,C-LA1500,and CSLR1500 were significantly different between the groups(all Pment,SFCT,CVI,C-LA,and C-SA were significantly decreased,and these parameters returned to baseline levels at the 18th-week visit(all P>0.05).However,CVI1500 and LA1500 significantly increased at the end of the follow-up period(Pment of patients with androgen ***,the increase in CVI within the central 1500μm of the macula persists even after 4mo.

A coal burst occurred on 15 April, 2014 at the Austar Coal mine, located west of Newcastle, NSW,Australia. The burst resulted in fatal injuries to two men working as part of the mining crew at the development face. At the time, a continuous miner was being used to mine a longwall development gate road through heavily structured coal, at a depth of approximately 550 m. A number of pre-cursor bumps had occurred on previous shifts, emanating from the coal ribs of the roadway, in proximity to the coal *** paper reviews the geological, geotechnical and mining conditions and circumstances leading up to the coal burst event; and presents and discusses the available evidence and possible interpretations relating to the geomechanical behaviour mechanisms that may have been critical factors in this incident. The paper also discusses some key technical and operational considerations of ground support systems and mining practices and strategies needed for operating in such conditions in the future.

Over the past half century,wildlife research has relied on technological advances to gain additional insight into the secretive lives of *** revolution started in the 1960s with the development of radio telemetry and continues today with the use of Global Positioning System(GPS)-based research *** the present paper we review the history of radio telemetry from its origins with grizzly bears in Yellowstone to its early applications in tiger research and conservation in *** address the different types of data that are available using radio telemetry as opposed to using other research techniques,such as behavioral observations,camera trapping,DNA analysis and scat *** the late 1990s,the rapid development of GPS collar technology revolutionized wildlife *** new technology has enabled researchers to dramatically improve their ability to gather data on animal movements and *** the ecological and conservation benefits of radio telemetry,there have been few telemetry studies of tigers in the wild,and most have been on the Bengal or Amur *** close with an assessment of the current tiger conservation efforts using GPS technology and discuss how this new information can help to preserve tigers for future generations.

We report the calculation of the same-species elastic scattering properties for the ultracold rubidium–rubidium (85Rb–85Rb) system and the results are compared with other theoretical and experimental results in detail. We present an improved potential for triplet ground states of the Rb2 molecule, and calculate the scattering lengths at and the effective range re using WKB and Numerov methods for two rubidium-85 collisions in the triplet state. Also, we investigate the convergence of these scattering properties, i.e. the dependence on core radius and K0 parameter using quantum defect theory and the analytic calculations of scattering length obtained by Szmytkowski. In addition, we present evaporative cooling and other results that include phase shift and cross section at zero energy limit.

We present a study on n-type ternary InGaN layers grown by atmospheric pressure metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy （mOVPE） on GaN template/（0001） sapphire substrate. An investigation of the different growth conditions on n-type InxGa1-xN （x = 0.06 -- 0.135） alloys was done for a series of five samples. The structural, electrical and optical properties were characterized by high resolution x-ray diffraction （HRXRD）, Hall effect and photolumineseence （PL）. Experimental results showed that different growth conditions, namely substrate rotation （SR） and change of total H2 flow （THF）, strongly affect the properties of InGaN layers. This case can be clearly observed from the analytical results. When the SR speed decreased, the HRXRD scan peak of the samples shifted along a higher angle. Therefore, increasing the SR speed changed important structural properties of InGaN alloys such as peak broadening, values of strain, lattice parameters and defects including tilt, twist and dislocation density. From PL results it is observed that the growth conditions can be changed to control the emission wavelength and it is possible to shift the emission wavelength towards the green. Hall effect measurement has shown that the resistivity of the samples changes dramatically when THF changes.

Cd_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)S film samples are prepared by a spray pyrolysis technique using aqueous solutions of CdC_(l2),ZnC_(l2),SC(NH2)2 and deionized water,which are atomized using compressed air as the carrier gas onto glass substrates with different water(H2O)concentrations.H2O is used as the *** prepared films are characterized by means of XRD and UV−VIS *** results reveal that the structures and properties of the films are greatly affected by the H2O *** in a certain range of concentrations promotes the formation of the Cd_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)S films and improves the properties of the films.

In the vicinity of Konya （Turkey）,mafic,micro-porphyritic sub-volcanic rocks intrude into the mesozoic units,which represents the only example of such a rock type in the region.40Ar/39Ar dating of two whole rock samples from the sub-volcanics gave ages of 13.72±0.13 and 12.40±0.11 ma,suggesting temporal association to the Late miocene-Pliocene high-K calc-alkaline volcanism in the *** mineral chemistry and geochemical data permit us to classify the rocks as ＂minette＂ *** include diopside and phlogopite phenocrysts in a microcrystalline groundmass composed of sanidine,phlogopite,diopside and *** and ocelli-like globular structures occur commonly in the *** terms of major elements,the lamprophyres are calcalkaline,and potassic to ultrapotassic *** the lamprophyres display strong enrichments in LILE （Rb,Ba,K,Sr）,radiogenic elements （Th,U） and LREE （La,Ce） and prominent negative Nb,Ta,and Ti anomalies on primordial mantle-normalized trace element *** data suggest that the lamprophyres and high-K calc-alkaline rocks in the region derived from a subduction-modified lithospheric mantle source affected by different metasomatic *** magmatism sourced phlogopite-bearing veins generated by sediment-related metasomatism via subduction,but high-K calc-alkaline magmas are possibly derived from a mantle source affected by fluid-rich metasomatism.

Cyathus striatus:a new record from Arunachal Pradesh and a checklist of Bird’s nest fungi in India

Twenty four species of Bird’s nest fungi belonging to four genera, namely Crucibulum, Cyathus, Nidula and Sphaerobolus have been reported from India with most of the reports were from Northeastern states in the Eastern Himalaya region that is well recognized for its rich biodiversity. Among these genera, Cyathus is the largest genus with 61 species documented so far in the world including 17 species from India. So far, only Cyathus poeppigii has been reported from the Eastern Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh. In the present paper, another newly recorded species Cyathus striatus, is reported with its detail taxonomic characteristics. It produces comparatively smaller basidiocarps than the earlier reported collection from Darjeeling (West Bengal). Further, the basidiospores are thin walled but comparatively larger in size. The paper also lists all Bird’s nest fungi from India with detailed information.
