Do PON1-Q192R and PON1-L55m polymorphisms modify the effects of hypoxic training on paraoxonase and arylesterase activity?

Background:Low levels of antioxidant paraoxonase 1(PON 1)enzyme activity,PON1-Q192R polymorphism(a glutamine(Q)to arginine(R)substitution at position 192),PON1-L55m polymorphism(a leucine(L)to methionine(m)substitution at position 55),and oxidized low-density lipoprotein(oxLDL)are risk factors for coronary heart *** exercise improves PON1 activity,but the effects of hypoxic exercise are yet *** aim of this study was to determine the effects of hypoxic underwater rugby training on PON1 activity and oxLDL levels and the role of the mentioned ***:Serum PON1 and arylesterase activities(ARE),PON1,PON3,and oxLDL protein levels(by using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays)were determined in an athletic group(42 trained male underwater rugby players;age=21.7±4.2 years,mean±SD)and a control group(43 sedentary men;age=23.9±3.2 years).The polymorphisms were determined from genomic DNA ***:PON1 activity(25.1%,p=0.052),PON3(pgroup,including most genotype groups,were higher than those of the control *** comparison to the controls,PON1 activity levels(p=0.005)of the PON1-Q192R homozygote QQ genotype group and PON1 activity levels(30%,p=0.116)of the PON1-L55m homozygote LL genotype group were higher,whereas ARE activity values of athletic R allele carrier(Rc=QR+RR)(p=0.005)and LL group(p=0.002)were lower than the control genotype groups related to their ***:Hypoxic training can cause(1)significant oxidative stress,including oxLDL,and an antioxidant response(increase in PON1 activity and PON3),(2)differences in the activity of PON1 and ARE,which are modified by PON1-Q192R and PON1-L55m polymorphisms,respectively,and(3)improvements in PON1 activity of QQ and LL ***,hypoxic training can cause a disadvantage of LL and Rc groups for ARE.

BACKgROUND The purpose of the present study was to examine retrospectively the contribution of 18Fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography computed tomography(18FDg-PET/CT)to the evaluation of response to first-line gemcitabine plus cispla-tin-based chemotherapy in patients with metastatic bladder *** To evaluate the response to gemcitabine plus Cisplatin-based chemotherapy using 18FDg-PET/CT imaging in patients with metastatic bladder *** Between July 2007 and April 2019,79 patients underwent 18FDg-PET/CT imaging with the diagnosis of metastatic Bladder Carcinoma(m-BCa).A total of 42 pa-tients(38 male,4 female)were included in the study,and all had been admi-nistered gemcitabine plus Cisplatin-based *** completion of the therapy,the patients underwent a repeat 18FDg-PET/CT scan and the results were compared with the PET/CT findings before chemotherapy according to European Organisation for the Research and treatment of cancer *** age was 66.1 years and standard deviation was 10.7 years(range:41–84 years).RESULTS Of the patients,seven(16.6%)were in complete remission,17(40.5%)were in partial remission,six(14.3%)had a stable disease,and 12(28.6%)had a pro-gressive *** overall response rate was 57.1 *** 18FDg-PET/CT can be considered as a successful imaging tool in evaluating response to first-line chemotherapy for metastatic bladder *** and functional data obtained from PET/CT scans may be useful in the planning of secondline and thirdline chemotherapy.

general quantum gravity arguments predict that Lorentz symmetry might not hold exactly in nature. This has motivated much interest in Lorentz breaking gravity theories recently. Among such models are vector-tensor theories with preferred direction established at every point of spacetime by a fixed-norm vector field. The dynamical vector field defined in this way is referred to as the "aether". In this paper, we put forward the idea of a null aether field and introduce, for the first time, the Null Aether Theory(NAT) — a vector-tensor theory. We first study the Newtonian limit of this theory and then construct exact spherically symmetric black hole solutions in the theory in four dimensions, which contain Vaidya-type non-static solutions and static Schwarzschild-(A)dS type solutions, Reissner-Nordstr?m-(A)dS type solutions and solutions of conformal gravity as special cases. Afterwards, we study the cosmological solutions in NAT:We find some exact solutions with perfect fluid distribution for spatially flat FLRW metric and null aether propagating along the x direction. We observe that there are solutions in which the universe has big-bang singularity and null field diminishes asymptotically. We also study exact gravitational wave solutions — AdS-plane waves and pp-waves — in this theory in any dimension D ≥ 3. Assuming the Kerr-Schild-Kundt class of metrics for such solutions, we show that the full field equations of the theory are reduced to two, in general coupled, differential equations when the background metric assumes the maximally symmetric form. The main conclusion of these computations is that the spin-0 aether field acquires a "mass" determined by the cosmological constant of the background spacetime and the Lagrange multiplier given in the theory.

In this research,un-doped CeO_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)mO_(0.05)O_(2)(m:Sm,Er,Y) compounds were synthesized by hydrothermal method and the multi-functional properties are *** defects were created with the additives of rare earth *** electrical and luminescence behaviors of the synthesized compounds were investigated in accord with the types of *** synthesized products were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) measurement,UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS),scanning electron microscopy(SEm),photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopic(EIS).All synthesized compounds are found to be nano-structured and have cubic *** total conductivity of all samples was ***,the total conductivity of un-doped CeO_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Y_(0.05)O_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Er_(0.05)O_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Sm_(0.05)O_(2) is found to be 2.07×10^(-10),5.70×10^(-4),1.0×10^(-3) and 0.0747 S/cm,***,bandgap energy(E_(g)) of these samples calculated from UV visible absorption spectra is discussed,and the optical results show variation between 3.2 and 2.15 ***,the luminescence properties of the compounds were investigated and different emissions occur depending on the additive ***,photoluminescent emission spectra of Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Y_(0.05)O_(2),Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Er_(0.05)O_(2) and Ce_(0.85)La_(0.10)Sm_(0.05)O_(2) phosphors indicate that these phosphors have red,green and orange-red colors,respectively.

We report the calculation of the same-species elastic scattering properties for the ultracold rubidium–rubidium (85Rb–85Rb) system and the results are compared with other theoretical and experimental results in detail. We present an improved potential for triplet ground states of the Rb2 molecule, and calculate the scattering lengths at and the effective range re using WKB and Numerov methods for two rubidium-85 collisions in the triplet state. Also, we investigate the convergence of these scattering properties, i.e. the dependence on core radius and K0 parameter using quantum defect theory and the analytic calculations of scattering length obtained by Szmytkowski. In addition, we present evaporative cooling and other results that include phase shift and cross section at zero energy limit.

We present a study on n-type ternary IngaN layers grown by atmospheric pressure metalorganic vapour phase epitaxy （mOVPE） on gaN template/（0001） sapphire substrate. An investigation of the different growth conditions on n-type Inxga1-xN （x = 0.06 -- 0.135） alloys was done for a series of five samples. The structural, electrical and optical properties were characterized by high resolution x-ray diffraction （HRXRD）, Hall effect and photolumineseence （PL）. Experimental results showed that different growth conditions, namely substrate rotation （SR） and change of total H2 flow （THF）, strongly affect the properties of IngaN layers. This case can be clearly observed from the analytical results. When the SR speed decreased, the HRXRD scan peak of the samples shifted along a higher angle. Therefore, increasing the SR speed changed important structural properties of IngaN alloys such as peak broadening, values of strain, lattice parameters and defects including tilt, twist and dislocation density. From PL results it is observed that the growth conditions can be changed to control the emission wavelength and it is possible to shift the emission wavelength towards the green. Hall effect measurement has shown that the resistivity of the samples changes dramatically when THF changes.
