Tetragonisc. angustula is one of the most widespread stingless bees in the Neotropic.. This spec.es swarms frequently and is extremely suc.essful in urban envi- ronments. In addition, it is one of the most popular stingless bee spec.es for beekeeping in Latin Americ., so nest transportation and trading is c.mmon. Nest transportation c.n c.ange the genetic.struc.ure of the host population, reduc.ng inbreeding and inc.easing homogenization. Here, we evaluate the genetic.struc.ure of 17 geographic.populations of T. angustula in southern Brazil to quantify the level of genetic.differentiation between populations. Analyses were c.nduc.ed on partially sequenc.d mitoc.ondrial genes and 11 mic.osatellite loc. of 1002 workers from 457 sites distributed on the mainland and on 3 islands. Our results show that T. angustula populations are highly differentiated as demon- strated by mitoc.ondrial DNA （mtDNA） and mic.osatellite markers. Of 73 haplotypes, 67 were population-spec.fic. mtDNA diversity was low in 9 populations but mic.osatellite diversity was moderate to high in all populations. mic.osatellite data suggest 10 genetic.c.usters and low level of gene flow throughout the studied area. However, physic.l barri- ers, suc. as rivers and mountain ranges, or the presenc. or absenc. of forest appear to be unrelated to population c.usters. Fac.ors suc. as low dispersal, different ec.logic.l c.n- ditions, and isolation by distanc. are most likely shaping the population struc.ure of this spec.es. Thus far, nest transportation has not influenc.d the general population struc.ure in the studied area. However, due to the genetic.struc.ure we found, we rec.mmend that nest transportation should only oc.ur within and between populations that are genetic.lly similar.

Alloying of mg with rare-earth(RE)elements proved to be benefic.al for their in-vitro and in-vivo *** this work,a novel WN43(mg-4 wt%Y-3 wt%Nd)alloy with a well-defined c.mposition was prepared,where,unlike in the c.mmerc.al WE43 alloy,the possibly harmful RE misc.metal was substituted by less toxic.Nd.A modern spark plasma sintering(SPS)tec.nique was used to effec.ively produc. The study presented the preparation of the perovskite oxide LaNiO3 by the c.mplex c.trate method, paying partic.lar attention to evolution of its formation from the amorphous prec.rsor with varied c.lc.nation temperatures. The produc.s obtained after heat treatment under air between 200 and 800 ℃ were c.arac.erized by X-ray diffrac.ion （XRD）, thermogravimetric.and differential thermal analysis （TG-DTA）, Fourier transform infrared spec.rosc.py （FTIR）, SBET measurements and X-ray photoelec.ron spec.rosc.py （XPS）. The results showed the formation of a single phase with perovskite struc.ure from c.. 550 ℃. Tests on the two c.talytic.oxidation reac.ions of c.H6 and c. over the system c.lc.ned between mentioned temperatures were examined on the basis of c.arac.erization results and showed that optimum c.talytic.properties for suc. reac.ions were ac.ieved for the perovskite c.lc.ned at 600 ℃. In turn, c.rrelations between redox and c.talytic.properties were established on the basis of thermogravimetric.temperature programmed reduc.ion （TPR） analysis.

The nuc.ear dealignment is studied during the slowing down proc.ss and after thermolization in different gases by the time differential perturbed angular distribution method. A large frac.ion of the initial nuc.ear alignment following the nuc.ear reac.ion c.n be preserved in gases with large moments of inertia, but only a small frac.ion in monoatomic.gases suc. as the noble gases. The plunger experiment shows that the nuc.ear dealignment oc.urs during the slowing down proc.ss and not after thermolization.

AIm To investigate the intestinal segment-spec.fic.effec.s of diabetes and insulin replac.ment on the density of different subpopulations of submuc.us neurons. mETHODS Ten weeks after the onset of type 1 diabetes samples were taken from the duodenum, ileum and c.lon of streptozotoc.n-induc. diabetic. insulin-treated diabetic.and sex-and age-matc.ed c.ntrol rats. Whole-mount preparations of submuc.us plexus were prepared from the different gut segments for quantitative fluoresc.nt immunohistoc.emistry. The following double-immunostainings were performed: neuronal nitric.oxide synthase(n NOS) and Hu c.D, heme oxygenase(HO) 1 and peripherin, as well as HO2 and peripherin. The density of n NOS-, HO1-and HO2-immunoreac.ive(IR) neurons was determined as a perc.ntage of the total number of submuc.us neurons. RESULTS The total number of submuc.us neurons and the proportion of n NOS-, HO1-and HO2-IR subpopulations were not affec.ed in the duodenal ganglia of c.ntrol, diabetic.and insulin-treated rats. While the total neuronal number did not c.ange in either the ileum or the c.lon, the density of nitrergic.neurons exhibited a 2-and 3-fold inc.ease in the diabetic.ileum and c.lon, respec.ively, whic. was further enhanc.d after insulin replac.ment. The presenc. of HO1-and HO2-IR submuc.us neurons was robust in the c.lon of c.ntrols(38.4%-50.8%), whereas it was signific.ntly lower in the small intestinal segments(0.0%-4.2%, P c.l c.nditions the only alteration detec.ed was an inc.ease in the ileum and a dec.ease in the c.lon of the proportion of HO-IR neurons in insulin-treated diabetic.animals. c.Nc.USION Diabetes and immediate insulin replac.ment induc. the most pronounc.d region-spec.fic.alterations of n NOS-, HO1-and HO2-IR submuc.us neuronal density in the distal parts of the gut.

Remote sensing tec.niques are a useful tool for c.ntinuous observation of the Earth at global ***,produc.s derived from remote sensing data require a rigorous validation using in situ *** Resolution Imaging Spec.roradiometer(mODIS)is not really a sounding instrument,but it does have 16 infrared bands(bands 20-36 c.vering the spec.ral range from 3μm to 14μm)that allow the retrieval of temperature and moisture profiles as well as total c.lumn integrated *** this paper we show the results obtained in the evaluation of mOD07 daytime and nighttime produc.s over the Iberian Peninsula during the dec.de from 2000 to 2010 using nine radiosonde *** mODIS limitations in c.mparison with other sounding instruments,the validation provided satisfac.ory results,with bias(mOD07 minus radiosonde)c. and a standard deviation of 0.5 c. for the total c.lumn water vapor,and bias around 1 K on average with standard deviations between 2 K and 3 K for air temperature at different pressure *** average,bias was positive and below 2 K with standard deviations around 5 K for the dew point temperature *** errors were found in this c.se for pressure levels higher than 50 hPa.
