In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the Cms experiment during run-I of the LhC in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 teV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from the Cms open *** matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum *** benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the Cms open *** evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

the superplastic behavior and associated deformation mechanisms of a fine-grained mg-10.1 Li-0.8Al-0.6Zn alloy(LAZ1011)with a grain size of 3.2μm,primarily composed of the BCCβphase and a small amount of the hCPαphase,were examined in a temperature range of 473 K to 623 *** microstructural refinement of this alloy was achieved by employing high-ratio differential speed *** best superplasticity was achieved at 523 K and at strain rates of 10^(-4)-5×10^(-4)s^(-1),where tensile elongations of 550±600%were *** the heating and holding stage of the tensile samples prior to tensile loading,a significant increase in grain size was observed at temperatures above 573 ***,it was important to consider this effect when analyzing and understanding the superplastic deformation behavior and *** the investigated strain rate range,the superplastic flow at low strain rates was governed by lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding,while at high strain rates,lattice diffusion-controlled dislocation climb creep was the rate-controlling deformation *** was concluded that solute drag creep is unlikely to *** the late stages of deformation at 523 K,it was observed that grain boundary sliding led to the agglomeration of theαphase,resulting in significant strain *** mechanism maps were constructed forβ-mg-Li alloys in the form of 2D and 3D formats as a function of strain rate,stress,temperature,and grain size,using the constitutive equations for various deformation mechanisms derived based on the data of the current tests.

the building stock is responsible for a large share of global energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions,therefore,it is critical to promote building retrofit to achieve the proposed carbon and energy neutrality *** of the policies implemented in recent years was the Energy Performance Certificate(EPC)policy,which proposes building stock benchmarking to identify buildings that require ***,research shows that these mechanisms fail to engage stakeholders in the retrofit process because it is widely seen as a mandatory and complex *** study makes use of an EPC database to integrate machine learning techniques with multi-objective optimization and develop an interface capable of(1)predicting a building’s,or household’s,energy needs;and(2)providing the user with optimum retrofit solutions,costs,and return on *** goal is to provide an open-source,easy-to-use interface that guides the user in the building retrofit *** energy and EPC prediction models show a coefficient of determination(R2)of 0.84 and 0.79,and the optimization results for one case study EPC with a 2000€budget limit inÉvora,Portugal,show decreases of up to 60%in energy needs and return on investments of up to 7 in 3 years.

Obtaining high precision is an important consideration for astrometric studies using images from the Narrow Angle Camera(NAC)of the Cassini Imaging science subsystem(Iss).selecting the best centering algorithm is key to enhancing astrometric *** this study,we compared the accuracy of five centering algorithms:Gaussian fitting,the modified moments method,and three point-spread function(PsF)fitting methods(effective PsF(ePsF),PsFEx,and extended PsF(x PsF)from the Cassini Imaging Central Laboratory for Operations(CICLOPs)).We assessed these algorithms using 70 Iss NAC star field images taken with CL1 and CL2 filters across different stellar *** ePsF method consistently demonstrated the highest accuracy,achieving precision below 0.03 pixels for stars of magnitude *** to the previously considered best,the modified moments method,the e PsF method improved overall accuracy by about 10%and 21%in the sample and line directions,***,the xPsF model provided by CICLOPs had lower precision than the ***,the ePsF exhibits an improvement in measurement precision of 23%and 17%in the sample and line directions,respectively,over the *** discrepancy might be attributed to the xPsF focusing on photometry rather than *** findings highlight the necessity of constructing PsF models specifically tailored for astrometric purposes in NAC images and provide guidance for enhancing astrometric measurements using these Iss NAC images.

the prevalence of organophosphate pesticides in aquatic environments raises severe concerns on a global ***,an insecticide,is included in a class of organophosphate *** is widely used on agricultural lands to control pests in cotton,fruit,and *** acute toxicity of chlorpyrifos is still dangerous to all aquatic living *** the treatment of water contaminated with chlorpyrifos is an important *** recent decade has witnessed adsorption technology emerging as an advanced organophosphate pesticide wastewater treatment with great potential and a grand blueprint,in which the specific surface area and active sites of the adsorbent are considered to be the two most important characteristics largely impacting the adsorption *** this study,a Cs-mgO/Zeolite composite was prepared by the microbial method as an effective adsorbent for the removal of chlorpyrifos from an aqueous *** adsorbent's properties were carefully characterized using Xray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and Fourier-transform infrared *** refinement of experimental conditions,encompassing variations in adsorbent dosage,contact time,and chlorpyrifos concentration at five discrete levels,was systematically undertaken through the utilization of a composite central design rooted in response surface *** solution ph played a key role in chlorpyrifos removal,and a ph of 7.0 was selected according to its high adsorption *** highest removal(80.9%)of chlorpyrifos by Cs-mgO/Zeolite was obtained at an optimum ph of 7,a contact time of 40 min,an adsorbent dosage of 0.4 g/L,and a chlorpyrifos concentration of 5 mg/L^(-1).the adsorption results were highly fitted with the Freundlich adsorption isotherm model,and the maximum adsorption was 83.3 mg/*** studies indicate that the removal of chlorpyrifos followed the pseudo-secondorder model of adsorption(0.994).the thermodynamic parameters indicate the sponta

tight focusing with very small f-numbers is necessary to achieve the highest at-focus ***,tight focusing imposes strong demands on precise target positioning in-focus to achieve the highest on-target irradiance We describe several near-infrared,visible,ultraviolet and soft and hard X-ray diagnostics employed in a~10^(22)W/cm^(2)laser±plasma *** used nearly 10 J total energy femtosecond laser pulses focused into an approximately1.3-μm focal spot on 5±20μm thick stainless-steel *** discuss the applicability of these diagnostics to determine the best in-focus target position with approximately 5μm accuracy(i.e.,around half of the short Rayleigh length)and show that several diagnostics(in particular,3ωreflection and on-axis hard X-rays)can ensure this *** demonstrated target positioning within several micrometers from the focus,ensuring over 80%of the ideal peak laser intensity *** approach is relatively fast(it requires 10±20 laser shots)and does not rely on the coincidence of low-power and high-power focal planes.

In-situ electron irradiation and aging are applied to introduce high-density precipitates in an mg-10Gd-3Y-1Zn-0.5Zr(GWZ1031K,wt.%)alloy to improve the *** results show that the hardness of the mg alloy after irradiation for 10 h and aging for 9 h at 250℃ is 1.64 GPa,which is approximately 64% higher than that of the samples before being *** is mainly attributed to γ'precipitates on the basal plane after irradiation and the high-density nanoscale β'precipitates on the prismatic plane after aging,which should be closely related to the irradiation-induced homogenous *** latter plays a key role in precipitation *** result paves a way to improve the mechanical properties of metallic materials by tailoring the precipitation through irradiation and aging.

this study examines the track and intensity forecasts of two typical Bay of Bengal tropical cyclones(tC)AsANI and *** analysis of various Numerical Weather Prediction(NWP)model forecasts[ECmWF(European Centre for medium range Weather Forecast),NCEP(National Centers for Environmental Prediction),NCUm(National Centre for medium Range Weather Forecast-Uniﬁed model),ImD(India meteorological Department),hWRF(hurricane Weather Research and Forecasting)],mmE(multi-model Ensemble),sCIP(statistical Cyclone Intensity Prediction)model,and OFCL(Ofﬁcial)forecasts shows that intensity forecasts of AsANI and track forecasts of mOChA were reasonably good,but there were large errors and wide variation in track forecasts of AsANI and in intensity forecasts of *** all model forecasts,the track forecast errors of ImD model and mmE were least in general for AsANI and mOChA ***,the landfall point forecast errors of ImD were least for AsANI,and the mmE and OFCL forecast errors were least for *** model is found to be consistently better for landfall time forecast for AsANI,and the errors of ECmWF,ImD and hWRF were least and of same order for *** intensity forecast errors of OFCL and sCIP were least for AsANI,and the forecast errors of hWRF,ImD,NCEP,sCIP and OFCL were comparable and least for mOChA up to 48 h forecast and hWRF errors were least thereafter in *** ECmWF model forecast errors for intensity were found to be highest for both the *** results also show that although there is signiﬁcant improvement of track forecasts and limited or no improvement of intensity forecast in previous decades but challenges still persists in real time forecasting of both track and intensity due to wide variation and inconsistency of model forecasts for different tC cases.

the biotechnological industry faces a crucial demand for novel bioactive compounds,particularly antimicrobial agents,to address the rising challenge of bacterial resistance to current available *** strate-gies for cultivating naturally occurring microorganisms often limit the discovery of novel antimicrobial *** study presents a protocol for targeted selection of bacterial strains using the supernatant of Paenibacillus el-gii,which produces abundant signal molecules and antimicrobial *** samples were inoculated in these enriched culture media to selectively cultivate bacteria resistant to the supernatant,indicating their potential to produce similar *** bacterial strains isolated through this method were assessed for their antibac-terial *** addition,the functional annotation of the genome of one of these strains revealed several gene clusters of biotechnological *** study highlights the effectiveness of using this approach for selective cultivation of microorganisms with potential for biotechnological applications.
