Enhancing production monitoring: A back allocation methodology to estimate well flow rates and assist well test scheduling

Production flow rates are crucial to make operational decisions, monitor, manage, and optimize oil and gas fields. Flow rates also hav. a financial importance to correctly allocate production to fiscal purposes required by regulatory agencies or to allocate production in fields owned by multiple operators. Despite its significance, usually only the total field production is measured in real time, which requires an alternativ. way to estimate wells' production. To address these challenges, this work presents a back allocation methodology that lev.rages real-time instrumentation, simulations, algorithms, and mathematical programming modeling to enhance well monitoring and assist in well test scheduling. The methodology comprises four modules: simulation, classification, error calculation, and optimization. These modules work together to characterize the flowline, wellbore, and reserv.ir, v.rify simulation outputs, minimize errors, and calculate flow rates while honoring the total platform flow rate. The well status generated through the classification module prov.des v.luable information about the current condition of each well (i.e. if the well is dev.ating from the latest well test parameters), aiding in decision-making for well testing scheduling and prioritizing. The effectiv.ness of the methodology is demonstrated through its application to a representativ. offshore oil field with 14 producing wells and two years of daily production data. The results highlight the robustness of the methodology in properly classifying the wells and obtaining flow rates that honor the total platform flow rate. Furthermore, the methodology supports well test scheduling and prov.des reliable indicators for well conditions. In this study,a calcium-phosphate coating was formed on a mg-mn-Ce alloy by the plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO).The antibiotic v.ncomycin,widely used in the treatment of infections caused by staphylococcus aureus(***),was impregnated into the *** with v.ncomycin showed high bactericidal activ.ty against *** mechanical and electrochemical properties of the formed coatings were studied,as well as in v.tro cytotoxicity tests and in v.v. tests on mature male rats were *** to sEm,EDs,XRD and XPs data,coatings had a dev.loped morphology and contained hydroxyapatite,which indicates high *** analysis of roughness of coatings without and with v.ncomycin did not rev.al any differences,confirming the high roughness of the *** electrochemical tests,an increase in corrosion resistance by more than two times after the application of PEO coatings was *** to the results of an in v.v. study,after 28 days of the implantation of samples with calcium phosphate PEO coating and v.ncomycin,no signs of inflammation were observ.d,while an inflammatory reaction dev.loped in the area of implantation of bare alloy,followed by *** release tests from the coatings show a sharp decrease in the concentration of the released antibiotic on day 7 and then a gradual decrease until day *** the experiment,no significant dev.ations in the condition and behav.or of the animals were observ.d;clinical tests did not rev.al a systemic toxic reaction.

The present study inv.stigates the physical and chemical characteristics,behav.or in v.tro and in v.v.,and biocompatibility of coatings containing Ta_(2)O_(5),which are obtained by plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)on mA8 magnesium *** obtained coatings demonstrate in v.v. biocompatibility and in v.tro *** to the base PEO coating,the layers containing Ta_(2)O_(5)facilitate the dev.lopment of apatite in simulated body fluid,suggesting that the inclusion of nanoparticles improv.s bioactiv.ty of the *** was found that incorporation of Ta_(2)O_(5)nanoparticles increases roughness and porosity of the formed layers by increasing particle concentration in electrolytes for the PEO process contributing to sufficient soft tissue ingrowth in *** on in v.v. studies,these coatings also prov.de fav.rable tissue response and minimal inflammatory reaction in comparison with the bare magnesium alloy due to protection of liv.ng tissues from deleterious corrosion ev.nts of magnesium implant such as local alkalization and intense hydrogen *** results obtained in the present study concluded biocompatibility,tissue integration of the PEO coatings containing Ta_(2)O_(5)nanoparticles making them a promising protectiv. layer for biodegradable magnesium implants.

Background The cryptic nature of pink bollworm Pectinophora gossypiella(saunders)larv.e enables its reduced v.l-nerability to insecticidal ***,the dev.lopment of resistance against Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)toxins posed a serious threat to transgenic cotton *** necessitated determining the critical timing of spray applications on the control *** study assessed the influence of egg age(freshly laid ***-day-old)and the loca-tion of larv.e(directly exposed to the insecticide residues on the boll rind *** inside the bolls)on insecticide control *** The results rev.aled a significant decrease in the ov.cidal activ.ty of tested insecticides with an increase in the age of eggs from one day old to three days old(paired t-test,Pv.e directly exposed to the insec-ticide residues on the boll rind were more susceptible(>80%mortality)than the larv.e exposed after they had bur-rowed inside the bolls(mortality).The inhibitory effects of tested insecticides on dev.lopmental biology were more pronounced in the experiment on pre-larv.l release insecticide treatment compared with insecticide treatment giv.n post-larv.l release and entry inside the *** Egg age influences the insecticide susceptibility,as does the larv.l location,directly exposed v. bur-rowed inside the *** eggs and the larv.e that had burrowed inside the green bolls of cotton were relativ.ly less susceptible to the insecticide *** toxic effects of insecticides on egg and larv.l stages were primar-ily *** findings are significant for dev.sing a comprehensiv. strategy for pink bollworm management on a sustainable basis.

Effect of proton irradiation on the optical properties of thermal control coating based on polystyrene with silica filler

This paper presents the results of studying the surface properties changes of a ther-moregulating coating based on polystyrene and silicaﬁller after proton irradiation with an en-ergy of 50 kev.at afluence of 3�1015 cm�*** proton irradiation,the v.lues of the contact angle of wetting with water increase by 3.5%and 14.9%for polystyrene and the coating,*** free surface energy(energy of the surface layer)of polystyrene and the coat-ings before and after proton irradiation was calculated using the Owens-Wendt-Rabel-Kaelble *** was a signiﬁcant increase in the polarity of the polystyrene surface(gp increased by a factor of 2.2)after proton *** the coating,an increase in gp by a factor of 3.89 was observ.d after proton *** changes in the coating were presented by IR Fourier spectroscopy.A slight decrease in the absorption intensity of all characteristic bands compared to the unirradiated sample was *** was found that the irradiation of the coating with protons led to the formation of macromolecules with hydroxyl,carbonyl,and carboxyl bonds,as well as the formation of dimeric and oligomeric siloxane *** was also found that after irradiation of a pure polystyrene sample with protons,the v.lue of the solar absorption as increased by only 4.2%;whereas for the coating with silicaﬁller,the v.lue of as increased by 28.6%.
