Optimization of sodium hydroxide for securing high thermoelectric performance in polycrystalline Sn1−xSe via anisotropy and vacancy synergy

The morphology and composition are two key factors to determine the thermoelectric performance of aqueously synthesized tin selenide(SnSe)crystals;however,their controlling is still under *** this study,we report a high figure-of-merit(ZT)of1.5 at 823 K in p-type polycrystalline Sn1−xSe resulted from a synergy of morphology control and vacancy optimization,realized by carefully tuning the sodium hydroxide(NaOH)concentration during solvothermal *** a comprehensive investigation on various NaOH concentrations,it was found that an optimized NaOH amount of 10 mL with a concentration of 10 mol L^−1 can simultaneously achieve a large average crystal size and a high Sn vacancy concentration of2.5%.The large microplate-like crystals lead to a considerable anisotropy in the sintered pellets,and the high Sn vacancy level contributes to an optimum hole concentration to the level of2.3×10^19 cm^−3,and in turn a high power factor of7.4μW cm^−1 K^−2 at 823 K,measured along the direction perpendicular to the sintering *** addition,a low thermal conductivity of0.41 W m^−1 K^−1 is achieved by effective phonon scattering at localized crystal imperfections including lattice distortions,grain boundaries,and vacancy domains,as observed by detailed structural ***,a competitive compressive strength of52.1 mPa can be achieved along the direction of high thermoelectric performance,indicating a mechanically robust *** study provides a new avenue in achieving high thermoelectric performance in SnSe-based thermoelectric materials.

The searching of parking burns a lot of barrels of the world’s oil every day. Car parking problem is a major contributor in congestion of traffic and has been, still a major problem with increasing vehicle size in the luxurious segment and also confines parking spaces in urban cities. The rapid growth in the number of vehicles worldwide is intensifying the problem of the lack of parking space. As the global population continues to urbanize, without a well-planned, convenience-driven retreat from the car, these problems will worsen in many countries. The current unmanaged car parks and transportation facilities make it difficult to accommodate the increasing number of vehicles in a proper, convenient manner so it is necessary to have an efficient and smart parking system. Smart parking management systems are capable of providing extreme level of convenience to the drivers. In this paper, a proposed web App system, named “Park Easy” is based on the usage of smart phones, sensors monitoring techniques with a camera which is used as a sensor to take photos to show the occupancy of cars parks. By implementing this system, the utilization of parking spaces will increase. It allocates available parking space to a given driver to park their vehicle, renew the availability of the parking space when the car leaves and compute the charges due. Smart parking App, “Park Easy”, will also enable most important techniques to provide all the possible shortage route for parking from any area of the city mainly, it helps to predict accurately and sense spot/vehicle occupancy in real-time.

灭火一直是大规模火灾和石油和天然气行业十分感兴趣的研究方向,本文的研究重点是在良好通风的条件下,对大型正庚烷池火（D=14.2m）开展灭火模拟研究。近年来,用水作为溶剂与各种气体以及各种活性剂混合产生了不同用途的泡沫灭火剂,如水成膜泡沫（AFFF）灭火剂。基于此,本文选择细水雾与二氧化碳混合产生一种复合混合灭火剂,并对细水雾以及细水雾与二氧化碳混合灭火剂熄灭正庚烷油池火,分别开展了数值模拟研究。首先,我们进行了网格大小的灵敏度分析,在燃料完全燃烧开始施加灭火剂进行灭火。对于细水雾单独灭火,为了寻求一种灭火效率更高的细水雾颗粒分布模型,我们针对两种不同粒径分布、大小和数量的细水雾灭火效果进行了比较,发现当细水雾粒径较大时,与Rosin-Rammler对数正态分布相比,Rosin-Rammler粒径分布的细水雾灭火更有效。不仅如此,与较小粒径（124.6μm）的细水雾相比,RR分布、较大粒径（275 μm）的细水雾灭火在气相能量平衡、热释放速率、温度与辐射抑制方面更为高效。进一步,将细水雾与二氧化碳进行混合,与细水雾单独采用的灭火效果进行了对比分析。结果表明,混合灭火剂比细水雾有更好的灭火效果。主要体现在火焰被完全抑制后,灭火剂喷嘴附近的温度与火源附近的辐射均被有效地降低。混合灭火剂减少了围绕油池火的热气,从而有助于细水雾的穿透并接触到液相燃料表面。尽管在施加混合灭火剂时火焰热辐射有短暂升高,但与单独施加细水雾比,火焰温度大大降低了,同时,混合灭火剂更为有效地降低了池火的质量损失速率。在本文数值模拟中,细水雾与混合灭火剂的初始参数设置均类似相同,但是气相能量平衡、喷嘴上下火焰温度、油池边缘火焰辐射的结果均不相同。目前尚未发现耦合液态流体和气态流体灭火的相关数值模拟工作,本文研究结果将为优化水基气体混合灭火剂、提高灭火效率提供了可能的应用前景。

液滴撞击固体表面在航空航天、生物医学工程、机械工程、汽车、农业和化学工程等领域广泛存在,并展现出重要的应用价值。本文在硅基光滑表面上制作了不同柱间距的微柱阵列表面,并测试比较了光滑表面与微柱阵列表面上液滴撞击的动态行为特征。同时,借助COmSOL multiphysics软件对液滴撞击微柱阵列表面开展了二维模拟研究,系统研究了微柱阵列表面上微柱间距、微柱侧壁倾角、微柱宽度、微柱高度对液滴撞击铺展因子、接触时间以及钉扎极值的影响规律。获得的主要结论如下:(1)当We=1.4-173.1时,A表面(光滑硅基表面)的液滴撞击行为表现出部分回弹-粘附过程的特征,而B和C表面(分别具有约500和200 nm微柱间距的硅基微柱阵列表面)的液滴则表现为完全的回弹-破碎过程。当We=13.9-62.2时,液滴撞击A的表面会部分反弹;而当We=33.4-80.2时,B和C表面的液滴撞击完全回弹,在液滴的顶部可观察到分裂现象。(2)由于静态接触角差(θ≈153°,θ≈161°),B表面上液滴的最大铺展因子高于C表面上的液滴,但B表面上的液滴接触时间小于C表面。(3)模拟了液滴对微柱间距为20-60μm的微柱阵列表面撞击行为过程,发现当We=2.2-72.3时,在相同的表面润湿性条件下,通过适当增大微柱间距即可有效降低液滴撞击的铺展因子和接触时间,同时,液滴的钉扎极值与微柱间距和We数呈正相关。本研究有助于促进液滴撞击控制技术的发展,在使用现代技术方面为“一带一路”倡议(BRI)特别是中巴经济走廊(CPEC)提供支持。

Colonic perforation with duodenal-colic fistula formation by a biliary stent in a liver transplant recipient

Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP) is increasing utilized in the setting of liver transplantation for a number of post-operative related biliary issues. Although ERCP represents an excellent technology, it is not without attendant risk including sepsis, bleeding and perforation. In this case report, the first of its kind, is described the occurrence of a migrated biliary stent induced duodenal-colic fistula formation in a liver transplantation patient who had required dual biliary stenting given post-operative biliary structuring. The placement of dual stents and their size are likely implicated in the cause of perforation. The enteric anatomy and the medical immunosuppression likely contributed to a delay in diagnosis and worse outcome.

Application of Steel Fiber in Increasing the Strength, Life-Period and Reducing Overall Cost of Road Construction (by minimizing the Thickness of Pavement)

Recently, the use of steel fiber at high rates has been introduced as the sole method of reinforcement for fully elevated-suspended slabs having long span such as 5 m to 8 m each way, with a span to depth ratio of up to 33 [1]. As a result of long practical experience the total replacement of traditional rebar is a new routine. Now it is also used in the designing of SFRC pavements over conventional concrete pavements. Within the project framework a demonstration of a steel-fiber-reinforced roller-compacted concrete (SFR-RCC) pavement was constructed in a rural as well as urban area. In order to assess the economical condition of the demonstration pavement, life cycle assessment (LCA) and life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) studies were undertaken. This is the advancement study of the various papers which is already published in many publications which serve as the main and important source of study for the research. many applications of steel fiber are listed in the paper but the main output of this paper is that SFR-RCC is more economically sustainable than others and also helps in reducing the thickness of the pavement up to 20 to 25 percent, due to the excessive strength of steel fiber. The roads of the present system required high cost investment. And the life period is almost 20 years theoretically but the actual life of the road is depending on the maintenance and the applied load. The constructions of road have been done since the 3500 BC but the method does not change fully. Also the cost of the construction is increased continuously;as a result, the construction of roads is more and more complicated and time taken. For the better and economical construction of the roads, we use steel fibers in the composite pavement. The theoretical plan of the construction of composite pavement is given in the methodology, which gives the appropriate idea about the construction of road using steel fiber. The global diversity of fungi has been estimated using several different *** is somewhere between 2–11 million estimated species,but the number of formally described taxa is around 150,000,a tiny fraction of the *** this paper,we examine 12 ascomycete genera as case studies to establish trends in fungal species descriptions,and introduce new species in each *** highlight the importance of traditional morpho-molecular methods in publishing new species,we introduce novel taxa in 12 genera that are considered to have low species *** discuss whether the species are likely to be rare or due to a lack of extensive sampling and *** genera are Apiospora,Bambusicola,Beltrania,Capronia,Distoseptispora,Endocalyx,Neocatenulostroma,Neodeightonia,Paraconiothyrium,Peroneutypa,Phaeoacremonium and *** discuss host-specificity in selected genera and compare the number of species epithets in each genus with the number of ITS(barcode)sequences deposited in GenBank and *** furthermore discuss the relationship between the divergence times of these genera with those of their *** hypothesize whether there might be more species in these genera and discuss hosts and habitats that should be investigated for novel species discovery.

利用Sedsim软件对印度河三角洲进行地层正演模拟,在模拟面积为250 km x 250km,网格分辨率为2.5km的情况下,显示了印度河三角洲从距今200ka～5kyrs期间碎屑沉积物的时空展布。由于该地区缺乏第四纪沉积物的地震和井数据,本次研究为模拟海平面升降旋回过程中沉积过程及地层演化提供了一种有效方法。沉积层序的形成主要受基准面,沉降,沉积物供应,初始地形和波浪能量之间的相互作用控制。本文充分结合野外测量、陆地卫星影像、数字观测模型、水文变量和已发表数据建立沉积概念模型,该模型进一步用于生成地层正演模拟(Sedsim)的输入参数。沉积学响应涉及沉积构造,河流沉积物的体积和空间分布的变化,而形态学响应则决定了该区域河道的几何形状,起伏和坡度。印度河、阿拉伯海、塔尔沙漠和拉基高原是印度河三角洲平原的主要组成部分。构造上,印度三角洲平原由向上挠曲带、向下挠曲带组成,沉降自西向东呈增加的趋势。复合三角洲区由上三角洲平原(河流主导)和下三角洲平原(潮汐主导)组成。三角洲的结构受流量,流速和沉积物浓度等水文变量控制。三角洲平原的物源输入主要来自印度河,包括来自邻近高地和哈布河的粗碎屑物质,以及风成沉积的沉积物。总的模拟持续时间为最近二个冰期和间冰期旋回的时间周期。最终模拟结果由205层组成,每层代表1000年,反映了模拟时间段内的岩相,沉积相,古水深和伪地震剖面。自200ka到130ka,海平面下降,印度河继续为三角洲平原提供沉积物。这个时期被视为低位域。在130ka至60ka期间,海平面上升,气候条件温暖而潮湿。最大沉积界面位于该高位域时期。从60ka到18ka,海平面下降并达到了最后一次冰期的最低点。该低位域时期接受的沉积最少,且在三角洲平原发生了更多的侵蚀作用。后冰期(距今18ka～5kyrs)海平面迅速上升并伴随着强烈的季风气候条件。在高位域时期,随着自然截弯和加积作用,沉积速率升高。本次模拟合理预测三角洲平原厚度,其厚度从北到南,自西向东改变。东北方向三角洲的最大厚度可达175 m,滨岸带最大厚度可达200米左右,中部三角洲最大厚度可达100米左右。基于文献资料和卫星图像验证了模型的沉积厚度及相分布。此外,生成10口假井数据,其结果预测了三角洲平原的沉积速率和沉积物百分率。通过模拟得到的质量平衡方程,统计学上给出了模拟时期的沉积平衡。印度河沿岸在模拟时间内共经历了三个沉积演化阶段。对于未来5kyrs,模拟显示了海平面静止和海平面以1m/kyr的速度上升两种类型,分别揭示了海岸线稳定和泛滥的情况。陆上三角洲的发育,受到三角洲河道的自然截弯作用以及波浪、潮汐的侵蚀作用的影响。
