Th.s study examines th. nonlinear beh.viors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) th.t conveys fluids and is equipped with.a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. Th. nonlinear governing equations for th. FGm pipe are derived by th. extended h.milton's principle, and subsequently discretized th.ough.th. application of th. Galerkin *** direct meth.d of multi-scales is th.n used to solve th. derived equations. A th.rough.analysis of various parameters, including th. clip stiffness, th. power-law index, th. porosity, and th. clip location, is conducted to gain a compreh.nsive understanding of th. system's nonlinear dynamics. Th.ough.th. analysis of th. first natural frequency, th. study h.gh.igh.s th. influence of th. flow velocity and th. clip stiffness, wh.le th. comparisons with.metallic pipes emph.size th. role of FGm composition. Th. examination of th. forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and th.ir dependence on parameters such.as th. detuning parameter and th. power-law index, offering valuable insigh.s into th. system's nonlinear resonant beh.vior. Furth.rmore, th. frequency-response curves illustrate th. h.rdening nonlinearities influenced by factors such.as th. porosity and th. clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on th. system response and resonance ch.racteristics. Recently a low cost cooking device for developing and emerging countries was developed at KIT in cooperation with.th. company Bosch.und Siemens h.usger^ite Gmbh. After constructing an innovative basic design furth.r development was required. Numerical investigations were conducted in order to investigate th. flow inside th. combustion ch.mber of th. stove under variation of different geometrical parameters. Beyond th. performance improvement a furth.r reason of th. investigations was to rate th. effects of manufacturing tolerance problems. In th.s paper th. numerical investigation of a plant oil stove by means of raNS simulation will be presented. In or- der to reduce th. computational costs different model reduction steps were necessary. Th. simulation results of th. basic configuration compare very well with.experimental measurements and problematic beh.viors of th. ac- tual stove design could be explained by th. investigation.

With.th. h.pe of overcoming th. generation of h.zardous materials to h.man h.alth.and environment, serious and great endeavor h.ve been made in catalyst fabrication using green ch.mistry tech.ology. In th.s paper, th. manganese （III） acetylacetonate nanoparticles with.diameters of about 146 nm were prepared by a simple and environmentally benign route based on h.drolysis of KmnO4 followed by reaction with.acetylacetone in rapid stirring rate or ultrasonication. Th. as-prepared samples were ch.racterized by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence （EDIX）, Fourier transfer infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope. Various parameters were investigated, and th. pure and stable crystals of manganese （III） acetylacetonate could be obtained in 98% conversion at a molar ratio 7：1 of acetylacetone to KmnO4 and 75℃after 60 min. We furth.r proposed a math.matical model, and th. predicted results from model were in good agreement with.experimental results.

Recently an f -deformed Fock space wh.ch.is spanned by ｜ n λ was introduced. Th.se bases are th. eigenstates of a deformed non-h.rmitian h.miltonian. In th.s contribution, we will use rath.r new nonorth.gonal basis vectors for th. construction of coh.rent and squeezed states, wh.ch.in special case lead to th. earlier known states. For th.s purpose, we first generalize th. previously introduced Fock space spanned by ｜ n λ bases, to a new one, spanned by extended two-parameters bases ｜ n λ 1 ,λ 2 . Th.se bases are now th. eigenstates of a non-h.rmitian h.miltonian h.λ 1 ,λ 2 = a λ 1 ,λ 2 a ＋ 1 2 , wh.re a λ 1 ,λ 2 = a ＋ λ 1 a ＋ λ 2 and a are, respectively, th. deformed creation and ordinary bosonic annih.lation operators. Th. bases ｜ n λ 1 ,λ 2 are nonorth.gonal （squeezed states）, but normalizable. Th.n, we deduce th. new representations of coh.rent and squeezed states in our two-parameter Fock space. Finally, we discuss th. quantum statistical properties, as well as th. non-classical properties of th. obtained states numerically.

Th. biosorption of copper by th. brown seaweed Sargassum baccularia, immobilized onto polyvinyl alcoh.l （PVA） gel beads, was investigated with.fixed-bed experiments. Laboratory-scale column tests were performed to determine breakth.ough.curves with.varying flow rates and feed concentrations. A th.oretical fixed-bed model, known as th. Boh.rt-Adams equation, was evaluated in simulating th. experimental breakth.ough.curves. Th. Boh.rt-Adams model qualitatively predicted th. breakth.ough.trends. PVA- immobilized seaweed biomass beads were amenable to efficient regeneration with.aqueous solution containing th. ch.lating agent eth.lenediaminetetraacetic acid （EDTA）. Th. biosorbent retained most of its original uptake capacity over th.ee cycles of use. Th. excellent reusability of th. biosorbent could lead to th. development of a viable metal remediation tech.ology.

Nano cerium oxide films were applied on AA7020-T6 aluminum alloy and th. effects of acetic acid concentration on th. microstructure and electroch.mical properties of th. coated samples were investigated by using scanning electron microscopy （SEm）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, and potentiodynamic polarization meth.ds. It h.s been found th.t by increasing th. acetic acid/CeCl3·7h.O molar ratio, h.gh.uniform and crack-free films with.well-developed grains were obtained and grain sizes of th. films decreased. Elimination of cracks and decreasing grain size of th. nano cerium oxide films caused corrosion resistance to increase.

Th. amenability of a refractory ore to th. extraction of gold and silver by cyanide leach.ng was investigated. Diagnostic leach.ng tests were also performed to sh.d ligh. on th. refractory ch.racteristics of ore. Th. leach.ng tests sh.w th.t th. extraction of gold and silver is consistently low, i.e. ≤47% and ≤19.2%, respectively, over a leach.ng period of 24 h. Even fine grinding (e.g. m) does not improve th. recovery of gold and silver. Diagnostic leach.ng approach.provides information into th. cause of th. refractoriness of th. ore. Th. findings suggest th.t th. refractoriness is induced by th. dissemination and encapsulation of th. very fine gold and silver particles largely in th. carbonates, oxides and sulfides and, to a small extent, with.silicates present in th. ore matrix. Th.se findings h.gh.igh. th. practical importance of diagnostic leach.ng for th. understanding of th. refractory ch.racteristic of such.an ore and for th. identification of possible pretreatment options to overcome its refractoriness prior to cyanide leach.ng.
