The present study aimed to evaluate multi-element concentrations(Al,As,Ca,Cd,Co,Cr,Cu,Fe,mg,mn,mo,Ni,Pb,Sr)in suspended particulate material(SPm)collected from Ensenada de La Paz(ELP)lagoon,Baja California Sur,mexico in two different periods(September and may)to com.rehend their origin,geochemical behavior,mass transfer and associated ecotoxicological *** 24 hr variation coefficient of volumetric SPm levels were found to be 51.7%in September and 40.5%in may,signifying the effects of oceanic *** calculated enrichment factor(EF)values for all the studied elements were of higher magnitude because of the high surface area and oxide nature of SPm,and in this study,mo had the highest EF of 46.77 probably due to its origin from continental *** the ecotoxicological perspective,the integrated toxic risk index revealed low toxic risk to the benthic ***,the mean-Erm-Quotient calculated using the particulate concentrations of As,Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb indicated 9%probability of toxicity to *** com.rehensive geochemical and ecotoxicological assessment of particulate metal concentrations in the ELP lagoon signify low to moderate contamination.

In recent years,there has been a growing need to understand how salinity affects microbial communities in agricultural *** and bacterial community diversities and structures were investigated by high-throughput sequencing analysis of their 16S rrNA in two arable soils with low electrical conductivity(EC)(2.3 and 2.6 dS m^(-1))and a saline soil(EC=17.6 dS m^(-1)).The dominant bacterial phyla in the soils were Proteobacteria(relative abundance(rA)=46.2%),followed by Acidobacteria(rA=13.1%)and Actinobacteria(rA=10.0%),whereas Serratia(rA=6.0%)and Bacillus(rA=4.0%)were the dominant bacterial *** Nitrososphaera(53.5%)was the dominant archaeal phylotype in the arable soils,whereas Nitrosopumilus(rA=0.4%)dominated in the saline *** archaeal and bacterial community structures were different between the soils and significantly correlated with soil sand,arsenic,barium,and antimony contents,but not with soil salinity.

The intensive production of vegetables such as tomatoes depends on various strategies to achieve high *** of this manuscript is to provide scientific and technological strategies for the intensive production of tomato or other vegetables in mega-production factories. However, with the advancement of knowledge, new im.rovements in the strategies will be incorporated. We have carried out research related to growth and yield variables in S. Lycopersicum. From this research we have worked on the intensive production of this noble vegetable at an industrial level. The results obtained are im.rovements in the production system. The im.rovements include the selection of the appropriate variety, germination and development of seedlings in a certified nursery. Trans-plantation in soil or hydroponics. The conditions of nutrient applications from the irrigation head system. The ventilation system and monitoring of climatic factors both day and night (temperature and relative humidity). monitoring of macro- and micronutrients in the plant system, including Ca, K, Fe, and Zn. Soil fertility analyzes should include: prim.ry and secondary macronutrients (ppm), organic matter (Om), EC, pH, bulk density (BD), and cation exchange capacity (CEC). The nutritional diagnosis to confirm.ranges of sufficiency. As a tool in plant nutrition programs, foliar application can include biostimulants and growth regulators. The foregoing can be considered strategies for the integral management of the tomato crop.

Fungal endophytes are receiving increasing attention as resources to im.rove crop production and ecosystem ***,the biology and ecological significance of these symbionts remains poorly understood,due to a lack of model systems for m.re efficient *** this work,we have analyzed the culturable endophytic mycobiota associated,in the wild,with leaves and siliques of the model plant *** have studied the effect of biotic and abiotic factors in the frequency of fungal endophytes in plant specimens,and in the species composition of the endophytic *** results indicate that the frequency of Arabidopsis plants hosting endophytes depends on the time of the year and the phenological stage of the plant,and that the probability of endophyte colonization increases as the life cycle of the plant *** diversity of the endophytic assemblages of natural *** populations was high,and precipitation and temperature were the two main factors determining the diversity and species composition of the *** propose *** and its endophytes as a model system for an integral approach to the principles governing the endophytic lifestyle,taking advantage of the molecular tools and the abundant knowledge accessible from the host plant.

High arsenic(As)and chromium(Cr)concentrations are currently receiving attention because of their negative effects on the environment and human *** inhabiting contaminated environments have developed resistance mechanisms against the toxicity of these ***,members of the bacterial genus micrococcus have been isolated from different toxic metal-contaminated environments;however,knowledge concerning its resistance mechanisms to As and Cr toxicity remains *** luteus strains(An24,mh,NE2TL6,and NE2TTS4)were isolated from the endosphere and soil of two heavy metal-contaminated sites in mexico to identify differences in the resistance mechanisms by the *** *** strains were resistant to As(As^(3+)and As^(5+)),chromate,dichromate,cobalt,copper,nickel,and *** analysis indicated that the heavy metal-resistant strains(An24,mh,NE2TL6,and NE2TTS4)could be assigned to the *** group and had m.re heavy metal-resistant genes(transporters,chaperones,and enzymes)compared to reference strains of the *** group,*** NCTC 2665^(T)and micrococcus endophyticus JCm 16951^(T).The resistant bacteria were able to biotransform As^(3+)and As^(5+)through a carbon source-dependent *** biotransformation of As5+was potentially carried out in the cytoplasm through a thioredoxin-dependent pathway,which may be coupled with biosorption.A qualitative analysis of organic acids(OAs)identified a change in the OA profile of the metal-resistant strains that was As-or *** genomic and phenotypic findings suggest that the four *** group strains evaluated in the current study have developed resistance mechanisms that may enable their survival in contaminated sites.

The lamina cribrosa thickness（LCT） could be affected by dynamic changes in its *** spectral-domainoptical coherence tomography（SD-OCT）,we have studied the behaviour of the laminar region in 14 young subjects over 24 *** changes in LCT were observed,depending on the time at which the measurement was taken,with the maximum thickness being observed at 7.30 p.m.,and the minimum at 7.30 *** finding could suggests a circadian pattern in the LCT thickness in healthy subjects,which could have implications for the classification,diagnosis and prognosis of both normal and glaucomatous subjects.

Hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with metabolic dysfunctionassociated fatty liver disease: Can we stratify at-risk populations?

metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(mAFLD)is a new nomenclature recently proposed by a panel of international experts so that the entity is defined based on positive criteria and linked to pathogenesis,replacing the traditional non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),a definition based on exclusion ***/mAFLD is currently the most common form of chronic liver disease worldwide and is a growing risk factor for development of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).It is estimated than 25%of the global population have NAFLD and is projected to increase in the next *** Scientific Societies agree that surveillance for HCC should be indicated in patients with NAFLD/mAFLD and cirrhosis but differ in non-cirrhotic patients(including those with advanced fibrosis).Several studies have shown that the annual incidence rate of HCC in NAFLD-cirrhosis is greater than 1%,thus surveillance for HCC is *** factors that increase HCC incidence in these patients are male gender,older age,presence of diabetes and any degree of alcohol *** non-cirrhotic patients,the incidence of HCC is much lower and variable,being a great challenge to stratify the risk of HCC in this ***,large epidemiological studies based on the general population have shown that diabetes and obesity significantly increase risk of *** genetic variants may also play a role modifying the HCC occurrence among patients with *** purpose of this review is to discuss the epidemiology,clinical and genetic risk factors that may influence the risk of HCC in NAFLD/mAFLD patients and propose screening strategy to translate into better patient care.

multielemental microanalysis in root and Leaves, Growth and Biomass in Tomato Seedling in response to Ca Levels and Induction of Stress: Non-Destructive Spectroscopy

Tomatoes are one of the main vegetables in the food industry that are consumed fresh and processed. A multi-element microanalysis was performed with the use of scanning electron microscopy (SEm) in conjunction with energy dispersion spectroscopy (EDS), to see changes in nutrient concentration in roots and leaves, as well as fresh and dry biomass in tomato seedlings. Exposed in nutrient solution (NS) with different levels of Ca (control, 25, 50 and 100 mm). The root was put in also to H2O2 for 8 hours to observe the changes that occurred. It was observed that NS with 100 mM Ca in fresh stem biomass and fresh leaf biomass increased by 25% and 38% compared to the control. It was observed that the NS with 100 and 50 mM of Ca, the content of Ca and Cl in foliar tissue increased by 34.50% and 13.15% compared to the control. Treatment with H2O2 and with 25 and 100 mM of Ca at NS increased the height of the seedling and fresh leaf bio-mass by 19.75% and 60.80% compared to the control. The treatment with H2O2 and with the different levels of Ca in the NS increased the content of C, P, K, Ca and Cl in the leaf tissue. Only S was significant for the control. Treatment with H2O2 and 100 mM Ca in the NS increased Ca and Mg by 83.48% and 40.47% for the root compared to the control. The K and Cl in the root was higher in the control treatment by 47.61% and 55% respect to the highest level of Ca. It is concluded that multielemental microanalysis is a powerful, non-destructive, fast and accurate tool for the determination of plant nutrients. Also, it is applicable for the areas like horticulture, physiology and agronomy.
