HIV infection is an emerging health issue in Libya, particularly among young adults. Human cytomegalovirus (HCmV) is a prevalent infectious agent that presents with subclinical and fatal diseases in immunosuppressed individuals including HIV-infected individuals. Although the impact of HCmV infection in HIV-positive patients is well documented in several regions, epidemiologic estimates concerning HCmV co-infection among HIV-infected individuals remain limited in Libya. Hence, this cross-sectional study was undertaken to derive data regarding the prevalence of active HCmV viremia among HIV-infected individuals undergoing antiretroviral therapy (ART) from Libya. A total of 90 consented HIV-infected subjects followed by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) of Benghazi/Libya were recruited in this study and investigated for HCmV-IgG, HCmV-Igm specific antibodies, detection of HCmV lower matrix phosphoprotein (pp65) antigen, and detection of HCmV-DNA using qPCR to assess the prevalence of HCmV viremia. We determined that 77 (85.56%) of subjects were seropositive for HCmV-IgG antibodies, whereas the seropositivity for HCmV-Igm was 3.33% (3/90 subjects). Our results also revealed that 4.44% (4/90) of participants had viral antigenemia based on the laboratory diagnosis of HCmV-pp65. Regarding the PCR, we were able to detect the DNA of HCmV only in 3/90 subjects (3.33%) suggesting an active viremic condition. The detection of HCmV DNA along with the HCmV-pp65 in HIV-positive individuals highlights the necessity of early diagnosis to manage the progression of the disease. Furthermore, we highly recommend the use of anti-HCmV therapy in viremic individuals in combination with ART to reduce the burden of HCmV complications.

The paper presents the investigation of the effect of alkaline treatment of sodium hydroxide(NaOH) on physical and dynamic mechanical analysis(DmA) viscoelastic properties of kenaf fibre filled natural rubber(NR)/thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU) *** treated kenaf fiber,NR and TPU were weighed and proportioned according to the required compositions and were blended using hot mixed Brabender *** polymer composites were then fabricated using the hot press to form a sample *** sample was cut and prepared and water absorption,density,thickness swelling and DmA tests were *** far as physical properties are concerned,composites with the highest NR amount of shows the best results,which indicates good fiber bonding *** polymer composites with the highest amount of TPU shows the highest damping properties at high temperature.

The magneto-hydrodynamics(mHD)effect is studied at different inclined angles in Rayleigh-Bénard(RB)convection inside a rectangular enclosure using the lattice Boltzmann method(LBm).The enclosure is filled with electrically conducting fluids of different *** characteristics are defined by Prandtl number,*** considered Pr values for this study are 10 and *** influence of other dimensionless parameters Rayleigh numbers Ra=10^(3);10^(4);10^(5);10^(6) and Hartmann numbers Ha=0,10,25,50,100,on fluid flow and heat transfer,are also investigated considering different inclined anglesφof magnetic field by analyzing computed local Nusselt numbers and average Nusselt *** results of the study show the undoubted prediction capability of LBm for the current *** simulated results demonstrate that the augmentation in heat transfer is directly related to Ra values,but it is opposite while observing the characteristics of Ha ***,it is also found thatφhas a significant impact on heat transfer for different ***,isotherms are found to be always parallel to the horizontal axis at Ra=10^(3) as conduction overcomes the convection in the heat transfer,but this behaviour is not seen at Ra=10^(4) when Ha>***,at Ra=10^(6),oscillatory instability appears but LBm is still able to provide a complete map of this predicted beha*** appropriate validation with previous numerical studies demonstrates the accuracy of the present approach.

In this paper,we formulate and analyze a new fractional-order Logistic model with feedback control,which is different from a recognized mathematical model proposed in our very recent *** stability of the proposed model and its numerical solutions are studied *** using the Lyapunov direct method for fractional dynamical systems and a suitable Lyapunov function,we show that a unique positive equilibrium point of the new model is asymptotically *** an important consequence of this,we obtain a new mathematical model in which the feedback control variables only change the position of the unique positive equilibrium point of the original model but retain its asymptotic ***,we construct unconditionally positive nonstandard finite difference(NSFD)schemes for the proposed model using the mickens’*** is worth noting that the constructed NSFD schemes not only preserve the positivity but also provide reliable numerical solutions that correctly reflect the dynamics of the new fractional-order ***,we report some numerical examples to support and illustrate the theoretical *** results indicate that there is a good agreement between the theoretical results and numerical ones.

We compare the properties of fission induced by protons and *** different methodologies are used to make this ***,it is shown that pion-induced fission cross sections are not much different in magnitude from proton-induced fission cross sections at the same beam kinetic ***,across the pion-nucleon(3,3)resonance so prominent with free nucleons,it has been observed that there is no significant change in the reaction mechanism in the case of ***,it is noted that an empirical expression used for evaluations of proton-induced fission cross sections is also valid for positive pion-induced fission cross sections,at least for actinide *** cross sections computed using a cascade-exciton model code for ^(209)Bi and ^(238)U are also compared with the experimental data available.

Particle melting and substrate temperature are important in controlling deposited density and residual stress in thermal plasma deposition of refractory materials. In this paper, both the heating and cooling behaviours of tungsten particles inside a radio frequency inductively coupled plasma （ICP） and the plasma heat flux to the substrate were investigated. The distribution of the plasma-generated heat on device, powder injection probe, deposition chamber, and substrate was determined by measuring the water flow rate and the flow-in and flow-out water temperatures in the four parts. Substrate temperature was measured by a two-colour pyrometer during the ICP deposition of tungsten. Experimental results show that the heat flux to the substrate accounts for about 20% of the total plasma energy, the substrate temperature can reach as high as 2100 K, and the heat loss by radiation is significant in the plasma deposition of tungsten.

The effect of swelling agent on the physicochemical properties of mesoporous hydroxyapatite particles synthesized by self-assembly process has been investigated. Cetyl trimethylammonium bromide(CTAB) and 1-dodecanethiol were used as soft template and swelling agent respectively. The results of the field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm), X-ray diffraction(XRD), simultaneous thermal analysis(STA), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) surface area, small-angle X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)assessments revealed that in the case of low concentration, 1-dodecanethiol performed as swelling agent and caused an increase in the pore size. However, at higher concentrations it led to the formation of microemulsion and foamy structures. The optimum swelling agent: surfactant mass ratio in synthesis of mesoporous hydroxyapatite particles with high pore volume was determined to be around 2.1 in this study.

Purpose The aims of the present study were two-fold:(i)to investigate the relationship between physical characteristics and the game statistics associated with ball-carrying capability amongst sub-elite rugby union players,and(ii)to predict the level of change in these physical characteristics required to improve the associated game statistic via regression *** Thirty-eight senior professional players(forwards,n=22;backs,n=16)were assessed for body mass(Bm),back squat(BS)single-repetition maximum(1Rm)normalised to Bm(1Rm/Bm),10 m sprint velocity(S10),10 m sprint momentum(Sm10),and the game statistics from 22 games within the 2019/20 RFU Championship *** relationship between these measures and the predicted level of change in a physical measure required to improve the total number of the associated game statistic by one were assessed by Pearson’s correlation coefficient and simple regression *** In forwards,an~11.5%reduction in Bm,an~11.8%improvement in BS 1Rm/Bm,or an~11.5%increase in S10 was required to improve the game statistics associated with ball-carrying *** backs,a~19.3%increase in Bm or a~15.6%improvement in Sm10 was *** These findings demonstrate that improvements in lower-body relative strength,acceleration performance,and position-specific alterations in body mass are required to maximise the ball-carrying capability and therefore match outcome of sub-elite rugby union players.
