In this paper,we analyzed the physical characteristics of the ternary alloys RE_(2)Rh_(3)Ge(RE=Pr and sm)using the first principles calculation based on functional density theory integrated in the Wien2k *** calculated formation energies of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are−5.3827 and−5.2782 eV/atom,respectively,showing that these alloys may exist *** results of the band structure and density of states indicate that all of the compounds tested are magnetic metals,and their magnetism is mostly related to the contribution of Pr and sm *** total magnetic moments of Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge are 4.07245 and 11.16161μB/f.u,*** parameters such as heat capacity at constant pressure,entropy,Debye temperature,lattice volume,compressibility coefficients,and Grüneisen parameter alloys were calculated using the Gibbs algorithm and studied in depth over a large temperature range of 0-900 *** Debye temperature increases with increasing pressure and decreases with decreasing ***,the Debye temperatures calculated at p=0 GPa and T=300 K are equal to be 342 and 322 K for Pr_(2)Rh_(3)Ge and sm_(2)Rh_(3)Ge,*** optical characteristics such as the real and imaginary portions of the dielectric function,the absorption coefficient,the energy-loss function,and the refractive index were investigated and discussed in more depth.

BACKGROUnD The association between the intestinal microbiota and psychiatric disorders is becoming increasingly *** gut microbiota contributes to colorectal carcinogenesis(CRC),as demonstrated with colibactin-producing Escherichia coli(CoPEC).AIm To evaluate the association between CoPEC prevalence and anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors with both preclinical and clinical *** Patients followed after a CRC surgery and for whom the prevalence of CoPEC has been investigated underwent a psychiatric *** were compared according to the CoPEC *** parallel C57BL6/J wild type mice and mice with a CRC susceptibility were chronically infected with a CoPEC *** behavior was assessed using the Elevated Plus maze test,the Forced Swimming Test and the Behavior recognition system PhenoTyper®.RESULTS In a limited cohort,all patients with CoPEC colonization presented with psychiatric disorders several years before cancer diagnosis,whereas only one patient(17%)without CoPEC *** result was confirmed in C57BL6/J wildtype mice and in a CRC susceptibility mouse model(adenomatous polyposis colimultiple intestinal neoplasia/+).mice exhibited a significant increase in anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors after chronic infection with a CoPEC *** This finding provides the first evidence that CoPEC infection can induce microbiota-gut-brain axis disturbances in addition to its procarcinogenic properties.

We report on the structural,magnetic,and magnetocaloric properties of EuRhO_(3) *** oxidation states of Eu and Rh ions were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It is found that the Eu ions are mainly in the divalent oxidation state while the Rh ions have+4 ***_(3) powders are found to be antiferromagnetic with a second order magnetic transition at neel temperature(T_(n)=2.9 K).Analysis of the magnetic susceptibility versus temperature data in terms of the Curie=Weiss law:(χ=C/(T-θ_(W))) for T>T_(n),yields θ_(W)=-3.1 K and effective magne tic moment μ_(ff)^(exp),which is close to the theoretical value μ_(eff)^(theo).The magnetic entropy change(-Δ_(sm)),was determined by em ploying the thermodynam ic maxwell's *** μ_0H=5 T and near T_(n),ΔS_(m)^(max) and relative cooling power(RCP) exhibit large values of 33.7 J/(kg·K) and 238 J/kg,*** large magnitude of-Δ_(sm) and RCP show that the EuRhO_(3) compound could be a potential candidate to be used in cryogenic magnetic refrigeration.

Objective:To investigate Petroselinum crispum Latifolum(parsley) for treating stomach and intestinal disorders in ***:An 80%ethanol extract was prepared from parsley seeds, and its antispasmodic activity assessed by measuring contractions of isolated ilea induced by 60 mm potassium chloride(KG).A piece of ileum from an adult male Wistar rat was dissected and mounted in an organ bath containing Tyrode’s solution,and ileum contractions were recorded by an isotonic transducer under one gram resting *** effect of parsley extract was measured in the presence of two antagonists’ of a - and(***:These experiments showed that parsley extract inhibited the response to 60 mm KC1 in a concentration-dependent manner(Pn=7).The spasmolytic effect of parsley extract was unaffected by 1μm phentolamine or 1μm ***:This study shows that parsley seed extract is a relaxant of isolated rat ileum and the relaxation effect of extract does not involved adrenergic receptors.

Wild rodents were collected using live snap traps in pistachio gardens of Kerman Province, Southeast Iran from 2007 to 2009, then some physiological parameters of them were measured. The samples were identified as follow: nesokia indica, meriones persicus, meriones lybicus and Tatera indica. Blood samples were obtained from the heart, then the blood parameters (glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, total protein, HDL, red and white blood cell number) in wild species of rodents and laboratory rat were compared. The results showed that there were no significant differences in serum glucose, triglyceride, HDL and total protein levels among different experimental groups. The concentration of cholesterol in T. indica was more than that in n. indica (P numbers of red blood cells also showed significant difference between wild garden rodent species and laboratory rat (P numbers of white blood cells showed no significant difference.

Stereological study of the effects of vitamin E on testis structure in rats treated with para-nonylphenol

This study was organized to see whether vitamin E, as a strong antioxidant, could affect the abnormalities of testis structure caused by para-nonylphenol （p-nP） during its development. A total of 32 female Wistar rats after mating were divided into four groups （n = 8）： control, vitamin E （100 mg kg^-1 per day）, p-nP （250 mg kg^-1 per day） and p-nP ＋ vitamin E. The rats were treated from the seventh day of pregnancy till the twenty-first day. After weaning, the male pups were divided into the same groups and were treated orally for 90 days. Finally, the right testis was fixed, processed, stained and studied using stereological methods. The weight and volume of testis, volume of seminiferous tubules and its diameter, thickness of the basement membrane, height of the germinal epithelium, total number of types A and B spermatogonia, spermatocyte, spermatid and Sertoli cells were significantly reduced in p-nP group when compared with other groups. Co-administration of vitamin E and p-nP compensated for the adverse effects of p-nP on the above parameters. In addition, treatment with only vitamin E caused a significant increase in diameter, basement membrane thickness and height of germinal epithelium, number of spermatogonia and spermatocytes. Co-administration of vitamin E with p-nP could prevent the adverse effects ofp-nP on the testis structure during its development.

Phytochrome A （phyA） is the dominant photoreceptor of far-red light sensing in Arabidopsis thaliana, phyA accumulates at high levels in the cytoplasm of etiolated seedlings, and light-induced phyA signaling is mediated by a com- plex regulatory network. This includes light- and FHY1/FHL protein-dependent translocation of native phyA into the nucleus in vivo. It has also been shown that a short n-terminal fragment of phyA （PHYA406） is sufficient to phenocopy this highly regulated cellular process in vitro. To test the biological activity of this n-terminal fragment of phyA in planta, we produced transgenic phyA-201 plants expressing the PHYA406-YFP （YELLOW FLUORESCEnT PROTEIn）-DD, PHYA406- YFP-DD-nLS （nuclear localization signal）, and PHYA406-YFP-DD-nES （nuclear export signal） fusion proteins. Here, we report that PHYA406-YFP-DD is imported into the nucleus and this process is partially light-dependent whereas PHYA406-YFP-DD-nLS and PHYA406-YFP-DD-nES display the expected constitutive localization patterns. Our results show that these truncated phyA proteins are light-stable, they trigger a constitutive photomorphogenic-like response when localized in the nuclei, and neither of them induces proper phyA signaling. We demonstrate that in vitro and in vivo PHYA406 Pfr and Pr bind COP1, a general repressor of photomorphogenesis, and co-localize with it in nuclear bodies. Thus, we conclude that, in planta, the truncated PHYA406 proteins inactivate COP1 in the nuclei in a light-independent fashion.

Structural and molecular features of intestinal strictures in rats with Crohn's-like disease

AIm: To develop a new rat model we wanted to gain a better understanding of stricture formation in Crohn’s disease (CD).mETHODS: Chronic colitis was induced locally by the administration of 2,4,6-trinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (TnBS). The relapsing inflammation characteristic to CD was mimicked by repeated TnBS treatments. Animals were randomly divided into control, once, twice and three times TnBS-treated groups. Control animals received an enema of saline. Tissue samples were taken from the strictured colonic segments and also adjacent proximally and distally to its 60, 90 or 120 d after the last TnBS or saline administrations. The frequency and macroscopic extent of the strictures were measured on digital photographs. The structural features of strictured gut wall were studied by light- and electron microscopy. Inflammation related alterations in TGF-beta 2 and 3, matrix metalloproteinases 9 (mmP9) and TImP1 mrnA and protein expression were determined by quantitative real-time PCR and western blot analysis. The quantitative distribution of caspase 9 was determined by post-embedding ***: Intestinal strictures first appeared 60 d after TnBS treatments and the frequency of them increased up to day 120. From day 90 an intact lamina epithelialis, reversible thickening of lamina muscularis mucosae and irreversible thickening of the muscularis externa were demonstrated in the strictured colonic segments. nevertheless the morphological signs of apoptosis were frequently seen and excess extracellular matrix deposition was recorded between smooth muscle cells (smCs). Enhanced caspase 9 expression on day 90 in the smCs and on day 120 also in myenteric neurons indicated the induction of apoptosis. The mrnA expression profile of TGF-betas after repeated TnBS doses was characteristic to CD, TGF-beta 2, but not TGF-beta 3 was up-regulated. The paper presents a short overview about the application of joint inversion in geophysics. It gives also an alternative explanation for the term of “different data sets” and discusses what types of inversion procedures can be considered as joint inversion. nowadays there are no standard standpoints using the appellation joint inversion. What is joint inversion? Based on the information matrix an answer could be given for this question what could be regarded as various types of data sets that are inverted simultaneously. We would like to expand the explanation—that is professed by many researchers—of the method that regards only the simultaneous inversion of data sets based on different physical parameters as joint inversion.
