BACKGROUnD Work-related injuries have gained recent attention,especially in the orthopaedic *** upper extremity orthopaedic surgical tasks require repetitive and constant m.neuvers,these surgeons can be at increased risk of acquiring workrelated musculoskeletal(mSK)disorders during their years in *** To assess the prevalence,characteristics and impact of mSK disorders am.ng upper extremity orthopaedic *** A modified version of the physical discomfort survey was sent to surgeons who were members of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and the Canadian shoulder and elbow society via *** collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics,one-way analysis of variance,and Fisher's exact test.P values ofnsidered statistically *** Of the 142 respondents,90.8% were males and the majority were younger than 55 years old(65.5%).A work-related mSK injury was reported by 89.4% of respondents,of which the most comm.n diagnoses were low back pain(26.1%)and lateral elbow epicondylitis(18.3%).Am.ng those that reported an injury,82.7%required treatm.nt and 26% required time off work as a direct result of their *** need to undergo treatm.nt due to the injury was associated with increased number of injuries(Pmoreover,surgeons were more likely to require time off work when they had been in practice for>21 years(PnCLUSIOn A high proportion of surgeons in our survey reported mSK injuries,with more than one quarter of surgeons reported requiring time off work due to an mSK *** high incidence of these disorders may place a financial and psychological burden on surgeons and affect their ability to provide patient *** of operative ergonomics,irrespective of surgical specialty may help to decrease or possibly prevent the occurrence of these disorders.

Structural and Stratigraphical Correlation of Seismic Profiles between Drigri Anticline and Bahawalpur High in Central Indus Basin of Pakistan

Publicly available seismic and well data are used to study the subsurface structure and stratigraphy of an area on the southern margin of the Central Indus Basin (CIB), Pakistan. Study area includes southern parts of the Punjab Platform and Sulaim.n Foredeep tectonic units of the CIB. A regional scale East-West depth cross-section is prepared in South of hydrocarbon bearing Safed Koh Trend to Punjab Platform. It gives the structural configuration of various formations of Paleozoic-Cenozoic times. Reflectors are marked and correlated with the help of wells Drigri-01 and Bahawalpur East-01, located on seismic lines 914-RPR-03 and 916-YZm-05 respectively. These reflectors/formations are correlated with respect to ages to avoid the confusions as there are m.ny truncations in the area. Average velocities are used for the depth computation. Depth cross-section (AB) shows that Punjab m.nocline is a stable area with a shallow basem.nt. In Punjab Platform all the formations dip gently to the West. Then they attain steep dips in the Sulaim.n Foredeep/Depression area. Depth cross-section along the Drigri anticline which lies in the SE of Sakhi Sarwar anticline reveals that it is extended E-W over 17 km approx. and the reverse faults are present on both flanks of a fold, due to that a pop up structure is formed. It’s a low amplitude fold, as it marks the southern end of Safed Koh Trend (first line of folding of the folded flank of Sub-Sulaim.n Fore Deep). Subsurface structural variations at Bahawalpur show a buried high of Jurassic-Permian age. A sedim.ntary cover is 9 km thick in West and 3 m thick in East. Basem.nt is uplifted at Bahawalpur High.

most of the isolated electrical systems throughout the world suffer from similar problems of fragility and high dependence on external resources to generate energy. Smart Grid solutions and integration of renewable energies in order to solve their problems have increased, although it is necessary to know their specific characteristics to select the optimal solutions for each case. Therefore, as the overall objective of InSULAE Project, the developm.nt of an Investm.nt Planning Tool, IPT, is on the way. This paper provides a view on a characterization methodology developed for the set of Reference Islands and how it will help to exploit the IPT developed. For that, characterization vectors have been defined based on a selection of Key Perform.nce Indicators (KPIs). And Reference Islands have been obtained from the analysis of KPIs data gathered from EU islands considering the vectors formed. The linkage of new islands to reference islands helps provide the new islands with an assessm.nt on the possibility space of their investm.nt plans with the aim of being a decarbonization plan considering the dem.nstrations already evaluated.

Overview of Hematopoietic Stem Cells in Systemic Cancer Treatm.nt, Aging, Pregnancy, and Radiation Hormesis

Background: The unavoidable links between the benefits of conventional systemic treatm.nt of cancer and the side effects such as lymphopenia. Objective: To analyze this phenom.non in view of the newly discovered trophic function of circulating hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) and their lymphocyte descendants. method: We used population statistics and recent current research involving natural aging and prelim.nary aging with cancer, its cytotoxic therapy, eclampsia at pregnancy, and radiation hormesis. Results: In contrast to imm.ne-defense interpretations of these health conditions, the trophic influence of HSC and morphogenic lymphocytes on natural tissue renewal and regeneration after sublethal injuries elim.nates the majority of covered inconsistencies, which are inherent to the dom.nating idea of cellular imm.nity. Conclusion: Our exam.nation led to the feeding influence of lymphopoiesis on tumor progression, an indirect mechanism of tumor growth control by systemic therapy via either destruction of trophic cells, or by competitive distraction from malignant tissue via reparation of sublethal injuries in normal tissues. Analyses also involved similarities of the mechanisms of systemic chemotherapy and total body/half body radiotherapy in low doses, as well as the futility of the theoretical opposition of the radiation hormesis phenom.non to the linear non-threshold model, dom.nant in radiobiology.

Between and Within-Farm Variability in Soil Fertility m.nagem.nt and Status in the Central Highlands of Kenya

The processes of nutrient depletion and soil degradation within smallholder farms of central Kenya are spatially heterogeneous, determ.ned by both biophysical and socio-economic factors. A m.nitoring study involving nutrient stocks, flows and balances was conducted in central Kenya to explore between and within-farm variability in soil fertility m.nagem.nt and identify spatial niches for targeting soil fertility m.nagem.nt strategies. Focus group discussions were conducted and farms grouped into 3 farm types （rich, medium and poor）. nine case-study farms - three from each of the farm types - were randomly selected from the 50 farms studied, for detailed resource flow mapping. The farms were visited to record movem.nt of nutrients inputs using a m.nitoring protocol covering soil, crops, livestock, and socio-economic aspects of the farm. Soil in different plots were sampled at a depth of 0-20 cm and analyzed for texture, pH, C, n, available P, exchangeable K＋, mg2＋ and Ca2＋. Results revealed that wealthy farmers added an average of 51.3 kg/ha n, 37 kg/ha P, and 244 kg/ha K, compared to 25.9 kg/ha n, 14.5 kg/ha P and 50.7 kg/ha K for the poor farmers. In all farm types, home fields received more nutrient inputs compared to the outfields. Consequently, maize grain yields, partial nutrient balances and soil nutrient stocks were significantly higher in wealthy farms and home fields compared to poor farms and outfields, respectively. These results imply that different soil m.nagem.nt strategies are required to achieve similar yields on the different field and farm types and avert soil degradation.

Objective:To review the literature on long-term.neurodevelopm.ntal outcome after fetoscopic laser surgery for twin-twin transfusion syndrome(TTTS).methods:A literature search in Pubmed,Embase,Emcare,Web of Science,Cochrane library,and Academic Search Premier was *** criteria were studies between 2009 and 2019 in TTTS-survivors treated with fetoscopic laser surgery and followed-up after the neonatal period with cognitive developm.ntal tests and neurologic *** criteria were non-English articles and reviews,case reports,letters,and ***:nineteen articles were ***-term severe neurodevelopm.ntal impairm.nt(nDI)was reported by seven and ranged from 4.0%to 18.0%with a mean of 9.7%(95%confidence interval(CI):7.8-11.5).The prevalence of cerebral palsy ranged from 1.6%to 18.2%,with a mean of 5.1%(95%CI:4.1-6.2).The mean prevalence of m.nor impairm.nt was 13.7%(95%CI:11.4-16.0).However,only 78.9%(15/19)studies used a validated neurodevelopm.ntal *** studies lack uniform definitions of primary outcome,tim.ng of follow-up,inclusion criteria,and methods,adequate comparison is ***:The prevalence of severe nDI and cerebral palsy after fetoscopic laser surgery for TTTS in the last decade remains stable around 9.7%and 5.1%,*** agreem.nts on primary outcomes,methods,and follow-up are necessary to improve the knowledge of nDI in TTTS-survivors.

A supportive mobile robot for assisting the elderly is an emerging requirem.nt mainly in countries like Japan where population ageing become relevant in near *** related injuries are considered as a critical issue when taking into account the physical health of older people.A personal assistive robot with the capability of picking up and carrying objects for long/short distances can be used to overcome or lessen this ***,we design and introduce a 3 D dynamic simulation of such an assistive robot to perform pick and place of objects through visual *** robot consists of two major components;a robotic arm or m.nipulator to do the pick and place,and an omnidirectional wheeled robotic platform to support *** components are designed and operated according to their kinematics and dynamics and the controllers are integrated for the combined *** objective was to improve the accuracy of the robot at a considerably high *** mobile m.nipulator has been successfully tested and simulated with a stereo vision system to perform object recognition and tracking in a virtual environm.nt resembling aroom of an elderly *** tracking accuracy of the mobile m.nipulator at an average speed of 0.5 m/s is 90%and is well suited for the proposed application.

This paper presents a fast adaptive iterative algorithm to solve linearly separable classification problems in R *** each iteration,a subset of the sampling data （n-points,where n is the number of features） is adaptively chosen and a hyperplane is constructed such that it separates the chosen n-points at a margin and best classifies the remaining *** classification problem is formulated and the details of the algorithm are ***,the algorithm is extended to solving quadratically separable classification *** basic idea is based on mapping the physical space to another larger one where the problem becomes linearly *** illustrations show that few iteration steps are sufficient for convergence when classes are linearly *** nonlinearly separable data,given a specified maximum.number of iteration steps,the algorithm returns the best hyperplane that m.nimizes the number of misclassified points occurring through these *** with other machine learning algorithms on practical and benchmark datasets are also presented,showing the perform.nce of the proposed algorithm.
