Attention markets of Blockchain-Based Decentralized Autonomous Organizations

The attention is a scarce resource in decentralized autonomous organizations(DAOs),as their self-governance relies heavily on the attention-intensive decision-making process of“proposal and voting”.To prevent the negative effects of pro-posers’attention-capturing strategies that contribute to the“tragedy of the comm.ns”and ensure an efficient distribution of attention am.ng multiple proposals,it is necessary to establish a market-driven allocation scheme for DAOs’attention.First,the Harberger tax-based attention markets are designed to facilitate its allocation via continuous and automated trading,where the individualized Harberger tax rate(HTR)determ.ned by the pro-posers’reputation is adopted.Then,the Stackelberg game model is formulated in these markets,casting attention to owners in the role of leaders and other competitive proposers as followers.Its equilibrium trading strategies are also discussed to unravel the intricate dynamics of attention pricing.moreover,utilizing the single-round Stackelberg game as an illustrative example,the existence of nash equilibrium trading strategies is dem.nstrated.Finally,the impact of individualized HTR on trading strategies is investigated,and results suggest that it has a negative correlation with leaders’self-accessed prices and ownership duration,but its effect on their revenues varies under different conditions.This study is expected to provide valuable insights into leveraging attention resources to improve DAOs’governance and decision-making process.

Effectiveness of Acupoint Application in Patients with Pharyngeal Pain: Evidence from CHUnBO, A Prospective Real-World Study

Objective: To assess the outcomes after acupoint application in patients with pharyngeal pain in a real-world settings, and analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. methods: Based on CHUnBO platform, patients with pharyngeal pain who were candidates for acupoint application on the basis of physician-evaluation, were enrolled in a nationwide, prospective, 69-week multicenter observational study from August 2020 to February 2022. Propensity score matching(PSm) was used to match the confounding factors and the association rules were used to analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. Outcome assessm.nts included the disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain(within 3, 7, and 14 days), disappearance time of pharyngeal pain, as well as adverse events. Results: Of 7,699 enrolled participants, 6,693(86.9%) received acupoint application and 1,450(21.7%) with non-acupoint application. After PSm, there were 1,004 patients each in the application group(AG) and non-application group(nAG). The disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain in the AG at 3, 7, and 14 days were all higher than those in the nAG(Pnce time of pharyngeal pain in the AG were shorter than that in the nAG(logrank Pnfidence interval: 1.41–1.63). The median age of effective cases was 4 years, mainly 3–6 years old(40.21%). The disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain in the application group with tonsil diseases was 2.19 times higher than that in the nAG(Pmm.nly used acupoints for the effective cases were Tiantu(Rn 22), Shenque(Rn 8) and Dazhui(DU 14). The comm.nly used herbs for the effective cases were natrii sulfas, Radix et Rhizoma Rhei, and Herba Ephedrae. Am.ng them, natrii sulfas was applied to Rn 8 most frequently(support 84.39%). BACKGROUnD The strategy for preventing colorectal cancer is screening by colonoscopy,which offers a direct way for detection and removal of adenomatous polyps(APs).American College of Gastroenterology guidelines recomm.nd that people aged≥45 years should undergo colonoscopy;however,how to deal with people aged≤45 years is still unknown.AIm To compare the prevalence of APs and high-grade neoplasia between the left and right colon in patients≤45 years.mETHODS A retrospective observational study was conducted at a single tertiary III hospital in China.This study included patients aged 18-45 years with undergoing initial colonoscopy dissection and pathological diagnosis AP or high-grade neoplasia between February 2014 and January 2021.The number of APs in the entire colon while screening and post-polypectomy surveillance in following 1-3 years were evaluated.RESULTS A total of 3053 cases were included.The prevalence of APs in the left and right colon was 55.0%and 41.6%,respectively(OR 1.7,95%CI 1.6-2.4;Pneoplasia,the prevalence was 2.7%and 0.9%,respectively(OR 3.0,95%CI 2.0-4.6;Pnce of APs and high-grade neoplasia in the left colon was significantly higher than in the right colon in patients aged≤45 years.There were 327 patients who voluntarily participated in post-polypectomy surveillance in following 1-3 years,and APs were found in 216 cases(66.1%);170 cases had 1-3 polyps(52.0%)and 46 cases had>3 polyps(14.1%;OR 0.3,95%CI 0.1-0.6;PnCLUSIOn This study suggests that flexible sigmoidoscopy would be an optimal approach for initial screening in people aged≤45 years and would be a more cost-effective and safe strategy.

Fast charge transfer kinetics in Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)/Sb_(2)S_(3)S-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

Constructing a S-scheme heterojunction with tight interface contact and fast charge transfer is beneficial to improving the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution perform.nce.Herein,a unique one-dim.nsional(1D)/two-dim.nsional(2D)S-scheme heterojunction containing 1D Sb_(2)S_(3) nanorods and 2D ZnIn_(2)S_(4) with affluent sulfur vacancies(denoted as Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3)) was designed.The introduced sulfur vacancy can promote the effective adsorption of H+for the following interfacial hydrogen-evolution reaction.Furthermore,the larger contact area and stronger electron interaction between Sb_(2)S_(3) and ZnIn_(2)S_(4) effectively inhibits the recombination of photo-generated electron–hole pairs and abridges the migration distance of charges.As a result,the optimal Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3) sample achieves H_(2) evolution activity of 2741.3 mol·h^(−1)·g^(−1),which is 8.6 times that of pristine ZnIn_(2)S_(4) and 3.0 times that of the Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) samples.Based on the experim.ntal result,the photo-reactivity S-scheme mechanism of hydrogen evolution from water splitting with Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3) is proposed.This work provides an effective method for developing S-scheme heterojunction composites of transition metal sulfide with high hydrogen evolution perform.nce.

Predictive value of red blood cell distribution width and hematocrit for short-term outcomes and prognosis in colorectal cancer patients undergoing radical surgery

BACKGROUnD Previous studies have reported that low hematocrit levels indicate poor survival in patients with ovarian cancer and cervical cancer,the prognostic value of hematocrit for colorectal cancer(CRC)patients has not been determ.ned.The prognostic value of red blood cell distribution width(RDW)for CRC patients was controversial.AIm To investigate the impact of RDW and hematocrit on the short-term outcomes and long-term prognosis of CRC patients who underwent radical surgery.mETHODS Patients who were diagnosed with CRC and underwent radical CRC resection between January 2011 and January 2020 at a single clinical center were included.The short-term outcomes,overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)were compared am.ng the different groups.Cox analysis was also conducted to identify independent risk factors for OS and DFS.RESULTS There were 4258 CRC patients who underwent radical surgery included in our study.A total of 1573 patients were in the lower RDW group and 2685 patients were in the higher RDW group.There were 2166 and 2092 patients in the higher hematocrit group and lower hematocrit group,respectively.Patients in the higher RDW group had more intraoperative blood loss(Pnd more overall complications(Pn did those in the lower RDW group.Similarly,patients in the lower hematocrit group had more intraoperative blood loss(P=0.012),longer hospital stay(P=0.016)and overall complications(Pn did those in the higher hematocrit group.The higher RDW group had a worse OS and DFS than did the lower RDW group for tumor node metastasis(Tnm)stage I(OS,Pnd stage II(OS,P=0.004;DFS,P=0.01)than the lower RDW group;the lower hematocrit group had worse OS and DFS for Tnm stage II(OS,Pnd stage III(OS,P=0.001;DFS,P=0.001)than did the higher hematocrit group.Preoperative hematocrit was an independent risk factor for OS[P=0.017,hazard ratio(HR)=1.256,95%confidence interval(CI):1.041-1.515]and DFS(P=0.035,HR=1.194,95%CI:1.013-1.408).COnCLUSIOn A higher preopera

Cation-Dipole Interaction-Induced Coacervate Underwater Adhesives in natural Seawater

Significant progress has been made in wet adhesives for low salinity water,but exploration of general ionic adhesives for natural seawater is less developed because the high salinity could weaken interfacial bonding and shields electrostatic interactions,resulting in adhesion failure.Thus,the design of adhesives for natural seawater represents challenges less resolved.Herein,a cationic polyelectrolyte(PECHIA)containing imidazolacetonitrile unit was explored to prepare adhesives enabled by natural seawater.By combining the ion shielding effect with the“cation-dipole”interactions between PECHIA chains,aqueous solution of the PECHIA underwent coacervation and self-crosslinking in natural seawater,allowing for underwater adhesion to various substrates in seawater.The instantaneous lap-shear and tensile adhesion strengths are 47 and 119 kPa,respectively,while the cured adhesive shows~739 k Pa tensile adhesion in natural seawater.The design of PECHIA enables wet adhesives viable for applications in the diversified scenarios of natural seawater.

Dynamic Effect of Landslides Triggered by Earthquake:A Case Study in moxi Town of Luding County,China

The dynamic effect is a very important issue widely debated by scholars when studying the genetic and disaster-causing mechanisms of earthquake-triggered landslides.First,the dynamic effect mechanism and phenom.na of earthquake-triggered landslides were summarized in this paper.Then,the primary types of dynamic effects were further used to interpret the mogangling landslide in moxi Town of Luding County,China.A field investigation,remote sensing,numerical calculation and theoretical analysis were carried out to illustrate the failure mechanism of slope rock masses affected by earthquakes.The interaction between seismic waves and slope rock masses and the induced dynamic effect of slope rock masses were primarily accounted for in the analysis.The slope topography,rock mass weathering and unloading characteristics,river erosion,regional seismogenic structure,and rock mass structure characteristics were also discussed.The results showed that the formation of the mogangling landslide was mainly related to the high amplification effect of seismic acceleration and back slope effects,interface dynamic stress effects,and double-sided slope effects of seismic waves caused by the catastrophic ms 7.75 moxi Earthquake in 1786.The principles for the site and route selection of large-scale infrastructure in the planning stage and the scientific prevention of seismic geological disasters were proposed on the basis of the dynamic effect of earthquake-induced landslides.

Single-chain nanoparticles represent an emerging class of nanomaterials designed to mimic protein's folding paradigm.Intrachain covalent crosslinking toward the formation of single-chain nanoparticles encounters complex energy landscapes,leading to the potential occurrence of misfolding issues.While noncovalent crosslinking can circumvent this issue,the resulting single-chain nanoparticles exhibit lower structural stability compared to their covalently crosslinked counterparts.In this study,we present a novel approach for the synthesis of single-chain nanoparticles,achieved through the combination of non-covalent and covalent intramolecular crosslinking.Cyanostilbenes grafted onto the linear polymer form intrachain non-covalent stacks aided by hydrogen bonds,leading to the formation of non-covalently crosslinked single-chain nanoparticles.These nanoparticles undergo conversion to covalently crosslinked nanostructures through subsequent photo-irradiation using[2+2]photocycloaddition,a process facilitated by the supramolecular confinem.nt effect.Consequently,the resulting single-chain nanoparticles dem.nstrate both intrachain folding efficiency and substantial stability,offering significant potential for advancing applications across diverse fields.
