Root canal therapy combined with endoscopic sinus surgery for odontogenic sinusitis:Efficacy comparison in a cohort study

BACKGROUnD Odontogenic maxillary sinusitis,often triggered by dental issues like periapical periodontitis,significantly contributes to chronic sinusitis,mainly affecting adults around 50 years old,emphasizing the need for a multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatm.nt *** To investigate the therapeutic effect and clinical value of root canal therapy combined with nasal endoscopic surgery compared with simple root canal the-rapy in the treatm.nt of severe odontogenic maxillary sinusitis caused by peria-pical *** The clinical data,diagnosis,and treatm.nt of 200 patients with severe odonto-genic maxillary sinusitis caused by periapical periodontitis from October 2020 to October 2021 were analyzed *** them,63 patients were treated with simple root canal therapy as the control group,and 137 patients were treated with root canal therapy combined with nasal endoscopic surgery as the observation *** therapeutic effect,Lund-Kennedy endoscopic score,paranasal sinus Lund-mackay score,complication rate,recurrence rate,and patient satisfaction were compared between the two *** First,we compared the effective rates:23 cases were cured,22 were improved,and 8 were ineffective in the control group,yielding a total effective rate of 84.90%.meanwhile,97 cases were cured,34 improved,and 6 were ineffective in the observation group,resulting in a total effective rate of 95.62%.The observation group had a higher total effective rate compared with the control group(Pnd,we compared the Lund–Kennedy endoscopic *** treatm.nt,no significant difference(P>0.05)was observed in this score between the two *** treatm.nt,the Lund–Kennedy endoscopic score decreased in both *** Lund–Kennedy endoscopic score of the observation group at 3 and 6 mo after treatm.nt was lower compared to that of the control group(Pmpared the Lund–mackay score of paranasal *** treatm.nt,there was no si

In situ polymerization of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)protective layer towards stable zinc anode

Aqueous zinc-ion devices are considered promising candidates for energy storage due to their high safety,low cost and relatively high energy ***,the dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and corrosion of the zinc anode significantly limit the developm.nt of Zn-ion ***,an inexpensive poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)protective layer was constructed in situ on the Zn surface using electropolymerization to suppress dendrite growth and side reactions,thereby enhancing the reversibility of *** and theoretical calculations revealed that this hydrophilic protective layer promotes the desolvation process of hydrated Zn^(2+)and facilitates the transport of zinc ions,thus improving the thermodynamic and kinetic properties of Zn^(2+)deposition and inhibiting interfacial side ***,the optimized PEDOT@Zn symmetric battery exhibited a cycling stability exceeding 1250 h at 0.5 mA·cm^(-2)and 0.25 mAh·cm^(-2),with a significantly reduced overpotential(from 91.8 to 35 mV).With the assistance of the PEDOT protective layer,the PEDOT@Zn//Cu battery maintained approximately 99.5%Coulombic efficiency after 450 ***-situ scanning electron microscopy(SEm)and in situ optical microscopy characterizations further confirmed that the PEDOT protective layer can effectively suppress the growth of zinc ***,the Zn-ion capacitors assembled by the PEDOT@Zn and activated carbon also dem.nstrated outstanding cycling stability.

For n E n, let On be the semigroup of all singular order-preserving mappings on [n] = （1, 2,..., n}. For each nonempty subset A of [n], let On （A） = （a ∈ On：（A k ∈ A） ka ≤ k} be the semigroup of all order-preserving and A-decreasing mappings on [n]. In this paper it is shown that On（A）is an abundant semigroup with n - 1 ＊-classes. moreover, On（A） is idempotent-generated and its idempotent rank is 2n - 2 - IA／（n}l. Further, it is shown that the rank of On（A） is equal to n - 1 if 1 ∈ A, and it is equal to n otherwise.

The aim of this paper is to study the practical φ0-stability in probability （Pφ0 SiP） and practical ~o-stability in pth mean （Pφ0Spm） of switched stochastic nonlinear systems. Sufficient conditions on such practical properties are obtained by using the comparison principle and the cone-valued Lyapunov function methods. Also, based on an extended comparison principle, a perturbation theory of switched stochastic systems is given.

This paper investigates the stochastic stability of discrete time positive markov jump nonlinear systems(Pm.nS).Some definitions on stochastic stability for discrete time Pm.nS are introduced ***,using the multiply max-separable Lyapunov function method,some stochastic stability criterions of discrete time Pm.nS are provided,and some corresponding criterions are also provided for discrete time positive markov jump linear systems(PmJLS).Different from previous conclusions that require subsystems to be stable or marginally stable,the obtained results allow some subsystems to be *** on the proposed criterions,the stochastic stability behavior of discrete time positive markov jump systems can be obtained just from the algebraic properties of the system function and the probability characteristics of the markov *** illustrate the main results,two simulation examples are provided at the end.

Optimal approximate merging of a pair of Bézier curves with G^2-continuity

We present a novel approach for dealing with optimal approximate merging of two adjacent Bezier eurves with G^2-continuity. Instead of moving the control points, we m.nimize the distance between the original curves and the merged curve by taking advantage of matrix representation of Bezier curve＇s discrete structure, where the approximation error is measured by L2-norm. We use geometric information about the curves to generate the merged curve, and the approximation error is smaller. We can obtain control points of the merged curve regardless of the degrees of the two original curves. We also discuss the merged curve with point constraints. numerical examples are provided to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of our algorithms.

Time-Variant Consensus Tracking Control for networked Planar multi-Agent Systems with non-Holonomic Constraints

A time-variant consensus tracking control problem for networked planar multi-agent systems with non-holonomic constraints is investigated in this paper. In the time-variant consensus tracking problem, a leader agent is expected to track a desired reference input, simultaneously, follower agents are expected to maintain a time-variant formation. To solve the time-variant consensus tracking problem of planar multi-agent systems with non-holonomic constraints, a time-variant consensus tracking control strategy is designed on the basis of an unidirectional topology structure. One of main contributions of this paper is the time-variant consensus tracking protocol for general time-variant formations of planar multi-agent systems with non-holonomic constraints, the other main contribution of this paper is an active predictive control strategy, where predictions of agents are generated actively, so that the computational efficiency is improved than passive approaches. The proposed control strategy is verified by two types of time-varying formations of wheeled mobile robots, and the experim.ntal results show that the proposed control strategy is effective for general time-variant consensus tracking problems of planar multi-agent systems with non-holonomic constraints in local and worldwide networked environm.nts.
