In the present study,pottery glaze was investigated as an excellent adsorbent for the removal of Cu(Ⅱ) ions from aqueous *** of concentration,contact time,pH,and effect of electrolyte concentration,adsorbent doses and temperature were studied by using batch process to optimize conditions for maximum adsorption. Equilibrium isotherm data were analyzed using Langmuir,Freundlich and Temkin isotherms at 30,40 and 50℃. Thermodynamic parameters such as standard enthalpy change(ΔH0),free energy change(ΔG 0)and entropy change (ΔS0)were also *** parameters indicated that adsorption process is endothermic and spontaneous in *** mean energy calculated from Dubinin-Radushkeuich(D-R)isotherms showed chemical nature of *** kinetic data were evaluated using the pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second order kinetic equations and it was found that data best fitted pseudo-second-order model over a wide range of initial Cu(Ⅱ)concentrations supporting that chemisorption process was *** adsorption and desorption studies carried out by batch process suggested 100% desorption of Cu(Ⅱ)ions with 0.1 N HCl solution.

The petroliferous province of the Western Desert comprises several sedimentary basins with different hydrocarbon potentiality and production *** middle Jurassic Khatatba Formation was proved a potential source rock in some basins and active/effective in *** current study aims to give a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the potential organic-rich intervals of the Khatatba Formation across JG and JD fields,northeast Abu Gharadig Basin(NEAG).The hydrocarbon generating capability and sourcing of the Khatatba Formation studied through organic geochemistry calibrated with well ***,the efficiency of some widely used plots of geochemistry is re-evaluated according to their accuracy and *** cuttings,thirteen cores and two oil samples obtained from three wells(JG-2,JG-3 and JD-4)were *** samples revealed total organic carbon(TOC)values ranging from 1 to 9 wt%,exhibiting a good-excellent potential source rock.A single sample in the JD-4 well attained a TOC value of 21.3 wt%with a generating potential(represented by S2 parameter)exceeding 146 mgHc/g rock required a special *** of the samples(mainly in the JD-4 well)attained a sufficient level of thermal maturity for hydrocarbon generation with a Tmax up to 449*** vitrinite reflectance(%Ro)values(a common maturity-related indicator)acquired from the JD-4 well ranging between 0.76%and 0.92%.These values are tediously increasing with depth indicating a uniform geothermal *** Khatatba organofacies,with wide variety of kerogen types(I,II,II-S and II/III),contain marine organic matter with a slight terrigenous input,exhibiting anoxic-suboxic environmental ***-source correlations define the organic-rich intervals responsible for charging the accumulated hydrocarbon in the NEAG concession.

In recent years,biometric sensors are applicable for identifying impor-tant individual information and accessing the control using various identiﬁers by including the characteristics like aﬁngerprint,palm print,iris recognition,and so ***,the precise identiﬁcation of human features is still physically chal-lenging in humans during their lifetime resulting in a variance in their appearance or *** response to these challenges,a novel multimodal Biometric Feature Extraction(mBFE)model is proposed to extract the features from the noisy sen-sor data using a modiﬁed Ranking-based Deep Convolution Neural Network(RDCNN).The proposed mBFE model enables the feature extraction from differ-ent biometric images that includes iris,palm print,and lip,where the images are preprocessed initially for further *** extracted features are validated after optimal extraction by the RDCNN by splitting the datasets to train the fea-ture extraction model and then testing the model with different sets of input *** simulation is performed in matlab to test the efﬁcacy of the modal over multi-modal datasets and the simulation result shows that the proposed meth-od achieves increased accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score than the existing deep learning feature extraction *** performance improvement of the mBFE Algorithm technique in terms of accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score is attained by 0.126%,0.152%,0.184%,and 0.38%with existing Back Propaga-tion Neural Network(BPNN),Human Identiﬁcation Using Wavelet Transform(HIUWT),Segmentation methodology for Non-cooperative Recognition(SmNR),Daugman Iris Localization Algorithm(DILA)feature extraction techni-ques respectively.

This study describes the consequences of the ciliary motion on the transport of seminal liquid through the ductus efferentes of the male reproductive tract. By assuming the seminal liquid as a couple stress fluid, we have formulated a mathematical model for a two-dimensional flow through an axially symmetric tube whose inner surface is ciliated in the form of a metachronal wave. The governing system consists of nonlinear coupled partial differential equations which is reduced to a system of ordinary differential equa- tions by utilizing the long wavelength approximation in an environment of the inertia free flow. Exact solutions for the velocity distribution, the pressure gradient and the stream function are obtained in terms of the couple stress parameters and the ciliary metachronism. Special attention is given to the pumping and the trapping characteristics due to the cilia motility. The study reveals that the ciliary pumping has to be more efficient to transport a couple stress fluid as compared to a Newtonian fluid. moreover, the theoretical results for the couple stress fluid are found to be in good agreement with those reported by IT. J. Laxdner and W. J. Shack, Cilia transport, Bull. math, Biophys, 34 （1972） 325-335]. The analytical results are also displayed in graphical form.

Carbon fiber reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (CF/PTFE) composites are known for their exceptional tribological performance when sliding against steel or cast iron in inert gas environments. Compared to experiments in humid air, about an order of magnitude lower wear rate and several times lower coefficient of friction have been reported for tests conducted in dry nitrogen and hydrogen. moreover, trace moisture has been shown to affect the friction and wear significantly of this tribosystem, although a possible effect of oxygen cannot be ruled out due to uncertainties regarding the oxygen concentrations. While several studies have pointed out the environmental sensitivity of CF/PTFE, the understanding of the underlying mechanisms are very limited. The objective of this research is to investigate the individual and combined effect of oxygen and moisture on the tribological behavior of CF/PTFE sliding against steel. Additionally, this study aims to elucidate the underlying mechanisms that govern the environmental sensitivity of the system. Climate-controlled three-pin-on-disc experiments were conducted in nitrogen atmospheres at various concentrations of oxygen and moisture. The tribological results clearly demonstrate that both moisture and oxygen contribute to increased friction and wear. However, the adverse effect was much more pronounced for oxygen than moisture. A qualitative method was developed to estimate the tribofilm coverage on the CF/PTFE surface. Results showed strong correlation between high coverage of strongly adhered tribofilm and low wear rate. moreover, a loosely adhered tribofilm was observed on top of the CF/PTFE surface in presence of moisture. FTIR analysis indicated that the loosely adhered tribofilm found in the moisture-enriched environment contained a significant amount of adsorbed water, which may explain the lower coefficient of friction in presence of moisture compared to oxygen.
