Surface defects caused during cutting and polishing in the fabrication of cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe) nuclear detectors limit their spectral performance. Chemical treatments are often used to remove surface damages and defects. In this paper, we present the analysis of Te and TeO2 species on the surfaces of CdZnTe nuclear detectors treated with hydrogen bromide and ammonium-based solutions. The CdZnTe wafers were chemo-mechanically polished in a mixture of hydrogen bromide in hydrogen peroxide and ethylene glycol, followed by a chemical passivation in a mixture of ammonium fluoride and hydrogen peroxide solution. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy showed significant conversion of Te to TeO2, thus producing a more chemically stable surface. The resistivity of the CdZnTe samples is in the order of 1010 ohms-cm. The current for a given applied voltage increased following the passivation and decreased after a 3-hour period. Results from spectral response measurements showed that the 59.5-keV gamma-peak of Am-241 was stable under the same channel for the surface treatment processes.

Spinel ferrite Ni_(0.08)mn_(0.90)Zn_(0.02)Fe_(2)O_(4)was prepared by a conventional ceramic process followed by sintering at three different temperatures(1050°C,1100°C and 1150°C).X-ray diffraction(XRD)investigations stated the single-phase cubic spinel structure and the FTIR spectra revealed two prominent bands within the wavenumber region from 600 cm^(−1)to 400 cm^(−1).Surface morphol-ogy showed highly crystalline grain development with sizes ranging from 0.27μm to 0.88μ*** magnetic hysteresis curve at ambient temperature revealed a significant effect of sintering temperature on both coercivity(Hc)and saturation magnetization(ms).Temperature caused a decrease in DC electrical resistivity,while the electron transport increased,suggesting the semicon-ducting nature of all samples and that they well followed the Arrhenius law from which their activation energies were *** values of Curie temperature(Tc)and activation energy were influenced by the sintering ***-dependent dielectric behavior(100 Hz-1 mHz)was also analyzed,which may be interpreted by the maxwell-Wagner-type *** UV-vis-NIR reflectance curve was analyzed to calculate the bandgap of ferrites,which showed a decreasing trend with increasing sintering temperature.

Surface water, a vital element of ecosystem must be hygienic, but unfortunately the pollution of this water is now an alarming problem. The present work deals with the assessment of physicochemical and bacteriological profile of several untreated surface water sources to ensure its suitability for using domestic purposes and drinking along with the impact of bacterial contaminated water on public health and antibiotic resistance pattern of these bacteria. The samples were collected from twenty sampling point (13 ponds, 4 lakes, 2 rivers and one canal) of Tangail District from January 2017 to July 2017. To understand the seasonal variation, water samples were measured in two month;February (dry season) and June (wet season). most of the water sampling points were polluted by dumping of waste, cattle wash and were not suitable for the drinking or other domestic purposes. Obtained results showed that water of the study area is slightly alkaline, no remarkable variation in the temperature of the water in both seasons and DO of all the sampling station were lower than standard limit during February. The mean concentration (m.C.) of total Coliform were 4 × 1022 cfu/100ml and 4.5 × 1018 cfu/100ml at February and June respectively and all the sampling point were contaminated with fecal coliform. Other pathogenic bacteria, E. coli (m.C: 1.1 × 1011 cfu/100ml at February and m.C: 2.2 × 107 cfu/100ml at June), Salmonella spp. (m.C: 1.1 × 105 cfu/100ml at February and m.C: 3.4 × 105 cfu/100ml at June), Shigella spp. (m.C: 8 × 104 cfu/100ml at February and m.C: 3.4 × 107 cfu/100ml at June), Vibrio spp. (m.C: 8.6 × 105 cfu/100ml at February and m.C: 1.1 × 108 cfu/100ml at June) were isolated from several of the investigated water sources. The total counts of these pathogenic bacteria exceeded the acceptable limit during both season and also showed resistance against a broad range of commercially available antibiotics. Cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe) semiconductor has applications in the detection of X-rays and gamma-rays at room temperature without having to use a cooling system. Chemical etching and chemo-mechanical polishing are processes used to smoothen CdZnTe wafer during detector device fabrication. These processes reduce surface damages left after polishing the wafers. In this paper, we compare the effects of etching and chemo-mechanical polishing on CdZnTe nuclear detectors, using a solution of hydrogen bromide in hydrogen peroxide and ethylene glycol mixture. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to monitor TeO2 on the wafer surfaces. Current-voltage and detector-response measurements were made to study the electrical properties and energy resolution. XPS results showed that the chemical etching process resulted in the formation of more TeO2 on the detector surfaces compared to chemo-mechanical polishing. The electrical resistivity of the detector is of the order of 1010 Ω-cm. The chemo-mechanical polishing process increased the leakage current more that chemical etching. For freshly treated surfaces, the etching process is more detrimental to the energy resolution compared to chemo-mechanically polishing.

动剪切模量和阻尼比是工程场地地震安全性评价及地基动力反应分析的重要动力学参数。为评价某海域海洋土的动力学特性,对10.34.2m深度范围内的海底淤泥质粉质黏土、粉砂及细砂开展共振柱试验。利用双对数模型建立了最大动剪切模量随上覆压力的递增关系。研究发现,现有规范的剪切模量比与阻尼比的推荐取值并不适用于海洋沉积土,即使考虑借鉴以往研究成果也必须将其限制在一定的应变范围,并应考虑土体的天然应力状态取值。利用马丁-达维登科夫(martin-Davidenkov)模型及阻尼比与剪应变的经验关系建立了剪切模量比和阻尼比随剪应变的变化规律,并由此提出了适用于海洋沉积土的5×100应变范围内剪切模量比及阻尼比的推荐值。研究成果可为海洋工程场地的设计、施工及抗震分析提供技术参考依据。

Bangladesh enjoys food self-sufficiency or deficiency depending on crop damages by drought, floods, cyclones, storm/tidal surges and other natural hazards. Data on climate extremes were collected from literatures. Landsat images were analyzed for water availability. Arithmetic, geometric and weighted means were calculated for community vulnerability delineation using IDRISI3.2. About 12.64% populations live in disaster prone areas and their sensitivity to exposed hazards depends on financial capabilities. Crop area damages by natural hazards were the highest in Dhaka division followed by Rajshahi division during 2009-2014. The highest economic loss ($613 million) was found in Barisal division followed by Dhaka ($198.7 million) division. Flooding was the most damaging climate extreme followed by drought and hailstorm. Rice crops are frequently exposed to climate extremes and caused economic loss of $228 million during 2009-2014. Economic losses were maize areas damaged by natural hazards. The most vulnerable areas are situated in the south-west and north-west part of the country. The most affected areas (35.4% of the country) had economic losses of $940-1,170 ha-1. About 2-4.7 million households (HH) were affected by different natural hazards in different regions of the country. Flood affected HHs were predominant in northern and north-east regions of the country. Common adaptations to natural hazard exposures are crop switching and migration. The other adaptation options could be improvement of post disaster recovery efficiency through financial support, supplying seeds and other inputs based on seasonal suitability.

δ-氨基乙酰丙酸（ALA）是一种非蛋白质氨基酸,在血红素生物合成中起着限速的作用。乳果糖（LAC）是一种非消化性寡糖,已被证实可以通过益生元活动改善断奶猪的生长性能。研究为评估ALA和LAC对断奶仔猪的影响,试验选取[（约克夏×长白）×杜洛克]断奶仔猪175头进行33 d饲养试验。试验分为CON组（基础日粮,无抗生素）、ALA05组(基础日粮+ALA 0.5 g·kg-1)、ALA10组(基础日粮+ALA 1 g·kg-1)、LAC05组（基础日粮+LAC 0.5 g·kg-1）和LAC10组(基础日粮+LAC 1 g·kg-1)5个处理组。所有数据使用SAS软件Proc mixed程序进行统计分析,采用正交实验对比治疗效果。与饲喂基础日粮组仔猪相比,ALA和LAC组断奶仔猪分别在第19天（P=0.028和0.011）和第33天（P=0.031和0.015）有较高的体重（BW）。并且在第19天,LAC组仔猪体重比ALA组高（P=0.046）。在第2阶段（第6～19天）以及整个试验期间,与饲喂基础日粮仔猪相比,ALA和LAC组仔猪有较高的平均日增重（ADG）和饲料利用率（GF）(Pm,分别在第19、33天）、氮（第33天）和能量（第19天）消化率（Pm消化率（P=0.041）,显著增加了血清总铁结合力、血红蛋白、血细胞比容和血液红细胞数（P<0.05）。补充LAC与对照组相比显著增加了第19和33天的粪便乳杆菌数量,降低了大肠杆菌计数（P<0.05）。而且LAC组仔猪比ALA组有较高的粪便乳杆菌数量（第19和33天）,并降低了第33天的大肠杆菌计数（P<0.05）。在整个试验过程中,粪便水分、腹泻评分并没有受到ALA或LAC补充的影响。仔猪饲喂LAC减少了第33天的氨气排放量（P<0.001）。结果表明,日粮添加ALA或LAC改善了断奶仔猪的生长性能,并减少了有害气体的排放量。

地点:孟加拉国现场项目。目的:比较常规使用的石炭酸复红染色法改变的有效性。设计:75个现场临床检查地点,使用常规1％碱性复红加热15分钟的萋-尼氏染色法(ZN)。盲法对照检查ZN 1％与ZN 0．3％碱性复红染色5分钟,或ZN 1％5分钟与Kinyoun冷染色法的双份涂片的结果。结果不符时进行复检。结果:假阳性的数目可对照时,Kinyoun氏法的敏感性比ZN 1％5分钟低的多(85．6％对93．0％, P<0．001)。ZN 1％5分钟的敏感性不比0．3％5分钟染色高(89．9％对86．5％)。常规使用的1％15分钟的ZN检查法比本研究中的其它方法查出的阳性教都要高。结论:Kinyoun氏冷染色法在现场临床条件下的敏感性不令人满意。WHO/IUATLD推荐的0．3％复红5分钟的敏感性和原来的1％ZN法5分钟没明显区别,但1％15分钟加热染色法更好。降低复红浓度、减少染色时间可能会增加出错的机会。结核项目中使用的较高浓度和较长时间的热ZN法不应当鼓励去改变。

Background: Cholecystectomy is one of the most now common abdominal surgeries performed every day. The incidence of bile duct injury (BDI) following open cholecystectomy is only 0.1% - 0.2%. After the introduction of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, the incidence has gone up to 0.4% - 0.7%. The present study is a prospective analysis of all patients with bile duct injury who were admitted to Dhaka medical College Hospital during or at a variable period following cholecystectomy. methods: To determine the pattern of presentation of iatrogenic biliary injury following cholecystectomy in the department of surgery of Dhaka medical College Hospital, a total of 30 patients were purposively selected from may 2018 to November 2018. Patient particulars, records of physical and clinical evaluation, and operative details were collected by individual researchers. Data analysis was done by SPSS for windows version 21. Results: BDI was found very common among the age group 21 - 30 yrs (36%) and female dominant (60%). majority of the patients presented with abdominal pain (96%), intra-abdominal collection (88%), biliary peritonitis (68%), cholangitis (60%), and obstructive jaundice (40%), and biliary fistula (40%). Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (84%) was the principal cause of biliary injury in our study. 48% of patients experienced clinical features within 7 days post-cholecystectomy. Per-operative diagnosis was done in only 12% of cases. 44% of patients in this study were recognized as Bismuth grade-3, followed by 36%, grade-2 patients. management outcomes included wound infection (41.66%), minor bile leak (25%), peritonitis (8.33%), and renal impairment (8.33%). Conclusion: The effect of BDI is an extremely distressful clinical condition for the patients and their family members, hence proper care and management protocol should be followed.

试验共选取1日龄,初始体重为47.4±0.3 g的肉仔鸡384只来研究植物杀菌素,一种从红松中提取的植物性饲料添加剂,作为泰乐菌素的替代品对肉仔鸡生长性能、排泄物微生物区系、排泄物气体排放量、肉品质及相对器官和组织重量的影响。共进行35 d饲养试验,0～14 d为起始阶段,14～35 d为肥育阶段。肉鸡根据体重分为4个处理组,每个处理6个重复,每个重复16只鸡。4个处理分别为阳性对照组(PC组)饲喂基础日粮+泰乐菌素0.2 g·kg-1;试验组分别饲喂基础日粮+植物杀菌素0、0.5、1.0 g·kg-1。在0～14 d、0～35 d期间,PC组肉鸡体增重(BWG)与饲喂基础日粮相比更高(分别P=0.02和0.03)。在0～35 d期间,BWG、采食量和饲料转化率随着日粮植物杀菌素含量的增高均呈线性提高(P=0.01,0.03,0.03)。与基础日粮组相比,饲喂PC组日粮肉鸡排泄物大肠杆菌含量降低(P=0.04)。随着日粮植物杀菌素含量的增高,胸肌线性增加(P=0.05),排泄物气体排放量线性降低(P<0.05)。总之,植物杀菌素可以被考虑替代泰乐菌素,来改善肉鸡的生长性能和减少排泄物气体排放,且对肉质无任何不利影响。
