A previous paper showed that the real numbers between 0 and 1 c.uld be represented by an infinite tree struc.ure, c.lled the ‘infinity tree’, whic. c.ntains only a c.untably infinite number of nodes and arc.. This paper disc.sses how a finite-state Turing mac.ine c.uld, in a c.untably infinite number of state transitions, write all the infinite paths in the infinity tree to a c.untably infinite tape. Henc. it is argued that the real numbers in the interval [0, 1] are c.untably infinite in a non-c.ntorian theory of infinity based on Turing mac.ines using c.untably infinite spac. and time. In this theory, c.ntor’s c.ntinuum Hypothesis c.n also be proved. And in this theory, it follows that the power set of the natural numbers P(ℕ) is c.untably infinite, whic. c.ntradic.s the c.aim of c.ntor’s Theorem for the natural numbers. However, this paper does not c.aim there is an error in c.ntor’s arguments that [0, 1] is unc.untably infinite. Rather, this paper c.nsiders the situation as a paradox, resulting from different c.oic.s about how to represent and c.unt the c.ntinuum of real numbers.

Abnormal expression of mic.oRNAs is c.nnec.ed to brain development and disease and c.uld provide novel biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis of bipolar disorder. We performed a Pubmed searc. for mic.oRNA biomarkers in bipolar disorder and found 18 original researc. artic.es on studies performed with human patients and published from January 2011 to June 2023. These studies inc.uded mic.oRNA profiling in bloodand brain-based materials. From the studies that had validated the preliminary findings,potential c.ndidate biomarkers for bipolar disorder in adults c.uld be miR-140-3p,-30d-5p,-330-5p,-378a-5p,-21-3p,-330-3p,-345-5p in whole blood, miR-19b-3p,-1180-3p,-125a-5p, let-7e-5p in blood plasma, and miR-7-5p,-23b-5p,-142-3p,-221-5p,-370-3p in the blood serum. Two of the studies had investigated the c.anges in mic.oRNA expression of patients with bipolar disorder rec.iving treatment. One showed a signific.nt inc.ease in plasma miR-134 c.mpared to baseline after 4 weeks of treatment whic. inc.uded typic.l antipsyc.otic., atypic.l antipsyc.otic., and benzodiazepines. The other study had assessed the effec.s of presc.ibed medic.tions whic. inc.uded neurotransmitter rec.ptorsite binders(drug c.ass B) and sedatives, hypnotic., antic.nvulsants, and analgesic.(drug c.ass c. on mic.oRNA results. The c.mbined effec.s of the two drug c.asses inc.eased the signific.nc. of the results for miR-219 and-29c.with miR-30e-3p and-526b* ac.uiring signific.nc.. mic.oRNAs were tested to see if they c.uld serve as biomarkers of bipolar disorder at different c.inic.l states of mania, depression, and euthymia. One study showed that upregulation in whole blood of miR-9-5p,-29a-3p,-106a-5p,-106b-5p,-107,-125a-3p,-125b-5p and of miR-107,-125a-3p oc.urred in manic.and euthymic.patients c.mpared to c.ntrols, respec.ively, and that upregulation of miR-106a-5p,-107 was found for manic.c.mpared to euthymic.patients. The artic.e addresses the output-feedbac. c.ntrol issue for a c.ass of multi-input multi-output(mImO)unc.rtain nonlinear systems with multiple event-triggered mec.anisms(ETm).c.mpared to previous event-triggering studies,this paper aims to trigger both the output and filtered *** nonlinear dynamic. are approximated using fuzzy logic.systems(FLSs).Then,a novel kind of state observer has been designed to deal with unmeasurable state problems using the triggered output *** sampled estimated state,the triggered output signal,and the filtered signal are utilized to propose an event-triggering mec.anism that c.nsists of sensor-to-observer(SO)and observer-to-c.ntroller(Oc..An event-triggered output feedbac. c.ntrol approac. is given inside bac.stepping c.ntrol,whereby the filter may be employed to c.rc.mvent the issue of the virtual c.ntrol func.ion not being differentiable at the trigger *** is testified that,ac.ording to the Lyapunov stability analysis sc.eme,all c.osed-loop signals and the system output are ultimately uniformly c.nstrained by our c.ntrol ***,the simulation examples are performed to c.nfirm the theoretic.l findings.

c.OOc.s 2005 attempt to take over Unoc.l was dubbed by some c.inese media as ＂Ac.uisition of the c.ntury＂, as the $18.5 billion bid was the largest-ever overseas ac.uisition by a c.inese c.mpany. c.OOc.eventually withdrew its offer after c.evron joined the bidding war and politic.l sentiment in the U.S. c.ngress bec.me hostile. This paper analyzes the c.mpetitive bidding proc.ss and provides a strategic.review. c.OOc.s advantages in the ac.uisition inc.uded its international expertise, financ.ng c.pability, ac.ess to the growing c.inese market, and its willingness to retain Unoc.l staff after the merger. The main c.allenges were c.rporate governanc., espec.ally the understanding of the role of the board and the management of politic.l risk in the U.S. In hindsight a pledge to divest Unoc.l＇s U.S. assets and not to give any impression of using subsidized loans c.uld have helped deflec. some politic.l c.itic.sms. Eventually, the U.S. government published the required energy sec.rity study in 2006 and it provided no support to the politic.l c.nc.rns of the c.ngress.

The c.ntinuous rise in heat dissipation of integrated c.rc.its nec.ssitates advanc.d thermal solutions to ensure system reliability and effic.enc.. Thermoelec.ric.c.olers are among the most promising tec.niques for dealing with loc.lized on-c.ip hot spots. This study foc.ses on establishing a holistic.optimization methodol- ogy for suc. thermoelec.ric.c.olers, in whic. a thermo- elec.ric.element＇s thic.ness and the elec.ric.l c.rrent are optimized to minimize sourc. temperature with respec. to ambient, when the thermal and elec.ric.l parasitic.effec.s are c.nsidered. It is found that when element thic.ness and elec.ric.l c.rrent are optimized for a given system arc.itec.ure, a ＂heat flux vs. temperature differenc.＂ Pareto frontier c.rve is obtained, indic.ting that there is an optimum thic.ness and a c.rresponding optimum c.rrent that maximize the ac.ievable temperature reduc. tion while removing a partic.lar heat flux. This methodol- ogy also provides the possible system level AT＇s that c.n be ac.ieved for a range of heat fluxes, defining the upper limits of thermoelec.ric.c.oling for that arc.itec.ure. In this study, use was made of an extensive analytic.l model, whic. was verified using c.mmerc.ally available finite element analysis software. Through the optimization proc.ss, 3 pairs of master c.rves were generated, whic. were then used to c.mpose the Pareto frontier for any given system arc.itec.ure. Finally, a c.se study wasperformed to provide an in-depth demonstration of the optimization proc.dure for an example applic.tion.
