Interleaved high-gain boost converter powered by solar energy using hybrid-based mPP tracking technique

This paper presents a solar-powered interleaved high-gain boost converter(IHGBC)that increases voltage gain with fewer ripples in the output voltage in comparison to existing DC-DC *** goal of this research is to develop a hybrid-based maximum power point tracking(mPPT)approach with the combination of a flower pollination(FP)algorithm assisted with a perturb&observe(P&O)mPPT approach for solar photovoltaic(SPV)systems integrated with *** ensure effective usage of both FP and P&O algorithms,this study incorporates and validates the hybrid-based mPPT *** proposed solar-powered IHGBC with a hybrid-based mPPT algorithm has been computationally modelled and simulated using mATLAB®and Simulink®for both uniform and non-uniform irradiation and analysed for voltage gain,ripples in the output waveforms and convergence *** proposed hybrid-based mPPT is based on a number of flowers that forecast the initial global peak,assisted by P&O in the last stage for faster convergence to attain the maximum power point(mPP).As a result,the hybrid-based mPPT approach alleviates the computational issues encountered in P&O and FP-based mPP *** proposed hybrid mPPT is compared with conventional mPPT for SPV and the results show that the solar-powered IHGBC using a hybrid-based mPPT technique has negligible oscillations of 0.14%with a high-voltage gain of 7.992 and a fast convergence rate of 0.05 seconds compared to individual P&O-based mPPT and FP-based mPPT *** simulation results of the proposed mPPT with IHGBC outperform the conventional mPPT with high-gain converters.

A systematic study on the influence of Nd^(3+) substitution on structural,magnetic and electrical properties of cobalt ferrite nanopowders obtained by sol–gel auto-combustion routewas *** formation of spinel phasewas confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)data,and percolation limit ofNd3?into the spinel lattice was also *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)bands observed ≈580 and ≈390 cm^(-1 ) support the presence of Fe^(3+) at A andBsites in the spinel *** variation in microstructure was investigated by scanning electronmicroscopy(SEm),and the average grain size varies from 5.3 to 3.3 *** substitution of Nd^(3+) significantly affects the formation of pores and grain size of cobalt ***-temperature saturation magnetization and coercivity decrease from 60 to 30 mA·m^(2)·g^(-1) and 19.9–17.8 mT,respectively,with Nd^(3+) substitution *** decreases in magnetic properties are explained based on the presence of non-magnetic nature of Nd^(3+) concentration and the dilution of super-exchange interaction in the spinel *** room-temperature direct-current electrical resistivity increases with Nd^(3+) concentration increasing,which is due to the unavailability of Fe^(2+) at octahedral B sites.

The incompressible flow of a non-Newtonian fluid with mixed convection along a stretching sheet is analyzed. The heat transfer phenomenon is discussed through thermal radiation. The effects of the melting heat transfer and heat generation/absorption are also taken. Suitable transformations are utilized to attain the nonlinear ordinary differential expressions. The convergent series solutions are presented. The fluid flow, temperature, and surface heat transfer rate are examined graphically. It is observed that the velocity decreases when the relaxation time increases while increases when the retardation time is constant. The results also reveal that the temperature distribution reduces when the radiation parameter increases.

Activator protein-1(AP-1)transcription factor is a key component of many signal transduction pathways involved in the regulation of cellular processes and controls rapid responses of mammalian cells when exposed to the variety of *** phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate and Forskolin(Fo)are well-known kinase activators/stimulators of Protein Kinase C(PKC)and Protein Kinase A(PKA)***,these kinases are found to be present in transitional points of many cell signaling pathways,especially those involved in *** stimulating effect of PKC and PKA on the expression of AP-1 factors in mCF-7 breast cell proliferation is not well ***,the role of PKC by PmA treatment and the role of PKA by using Fo in mCF-7 cells is ***,cells treated with PmA showed increased cell proliferation,while Fo had no effect,but inhibited the PmA induced *** RT-PCR results showed the PmA induced c-Jun,c-Fos and Fra-1 expressions compared to control and ***,Fo in combination with PmA,inhibit the PmA induced above mRNA expressions where Fo alone has no *** blot studies validated the c-Jun expressions in PmA treated mCF-7 ***,PmA increases the mRNA expression of Cyclin-E1,Cyclin-D1,and CDK-4,whereas Fo decreases their ***,mitogenic effect of PmA and inhibitory action of Fo on mCF-7 cells is probably enhanced via activation of AP-1 factors and concomitant action of cell cycle regulators in the downstream singling cascade.

Stress enhances expression of calcium-binding proteins and NmDAR subunit genes in the rat hippocampus

Backgrounds:Oxidative stress impairs the function of calcium-binding proteins and deregulates calcium signaling in living *** have previously explored the overexpression of calcium-binding protein genes in a reactive oxygen and nitrogen species-induced in vitro cell model of stress that leads to ***,in in vivo models,low levels of stress leads to depressive-like ***,we aimed to analyze gene expression of major calcium-binding proteins(calcineurin,calmodulin,calsyntenin,synaptotagmin,and calreticulin)and N-methyl-D-aspartic acid(NmDA)receptor subunits(glutamate receptor ionotropic[GluN]GluN1,GluN2A,and GluN2B)in the hippocampus of stress-induced ***:Six-week-old male Wistar rats were assigned to two stress induction groups and a control group without stress(n=6).Stress was induced by using H_(2)O_(2)(3%in water)or by immobilization(using a sticky mat)over a period of 30 *** of calcium-binding protein genes in the hippocampus,antioxidant assays,structural alterations in hippocampal neurons,and depressive-like behavior were ***:Expression of genes encoding calcium-binding proteins calcineurin,calsyntenin,synaptotagmin and NmDA receptor subunit GluN1 was enhanced in both chemical and physical stress-induced rats compared with control rats(4.25±0.05 vs.1.03±0.02,pmpus were fewer and appeared disorganized compared with control ***,stressinduced rats showed decreased mobility and lower sucrose preference in behavioral studies compared with control ***:Lower levels of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species(RONS)can also lead to stress in rats by affecting their calcium signaling,buffering capacity in the neurons leading to depressive symptoms.

Drained rock volume around hydraulic fractures in porous media:planar fractures versus fractal networks

This study applies the Lindenmayer system based on fractal theory to generate synthetic fracture networks in hydraulically fractured *** applied flow model is based on complex analysis methods,which can quantify the flow near the fractures,and being gridless,is computationally faster than traditional discrete volume *** representation of hydraulic fractures as fractals is a more realistic representation than planar bi-wing fractures used in most reservoir *** withdrawal from the reservoir with evenly spaced hydraulic fractures may leave dead zones between planar *** fractal networks will drain the reservoir matrix more effectively,due to the mitigation of stagnation flow *** flow velocities,pressure response,and drained rock volume(DRV)are visualized for a variety of fractal fracture networks in a single-fracture treatment *** major advancement of this study is the improved representation of hydraulic fractures as complex fractals rather than restricting to planar fracture *** models indicate that when the complexity of hydraulic fracture networks increases,this will suppress the occurrence of dead flow *** order to increase the DRV and improve ultimate recovery,our flow models suggest that fracture treatment programs must find ways to create more complex fracture networks.

Early results of circularity and centration of capsulotomy prepared by three different methods

AIm:To compare the difference of capsulotomy produced by precision pulse capsulotomy(PPC),manual(m-CCC),and femtosecond laser assisted capsulotomy(FLAC)in relation to intraocular lens(IOL)centration,circularity and its effect on visual ***:Prospective,non-randomized comparative study conducted at LV Prasad Eye Institute,Hyderabad,*** eyes of 52 patients were grouped into 3(FLAC,PPC and m-CCC)based on capsulotomy techniques *** consecutive eyes with uneventful phacoemulsification and with no comorbidities affecting the capsulotomy or visual outcome were included in each *** main outcome measure was IOL centration in relation to capsulotomy and *** outcome measures were post-operative visual acuity,manifest refraction and aberration profile between ***:At 5 wk the visual,refractive outcomes and endothelial cell density were comparable between the 3 *** median circularity index of FLAC was statistically significantly different to m-CCC or PPC(1-10)groups(Pmparable to *** of IOL center in relation to capsulotomy was seen only between the PPC(1-10)group and FLAC group(P=0.02).The IOL was well centered in relation to the pupil in all the groups(P=0.46).The quality of vision parameters like the higher order aberrations,spherical aberration,coma,trefoil,modular transfer function,and Strehl ratio were comparable between the ***:Our study shows that despite differences in the morphology of capsulotomy produced by PPC,m-CCC,FLAC a well-centered IOL can be *** measured capsular morphology parameters do not affect visual outcomes.

Design of current mirror integration ROIC for snapshot mode operation

Current mirror integration（CmI） read out integrated circuit（ROIC） topology provides a low input impedance to photo-detectors and provides large injection efficiency, large charge handling capacity and snapshot mode operation without in-pixel opamps. The ROIC described in this paper has been implemented with a modified current mirror circuit, with matched PmOS pairs for detector input stage and its biasing. The readout circuit has been designed for 30×30μm^2 pixel size, 4×4 array size, variable frame rate, 5 me charga pixel per second（mpps）.Experimental performance of the test chip has achieved 15 me charge handling capacity, a high dynamic range of83 dB, 99.8% linearity and 99.96% injection efficiency. The ROIC design has been fabricated in 3.3 V 1P6 mUmC180 nm CmOS process and tested up to 5 mHz pixel rate at room and at cryogenic temperature.
