The estimation of evapotranspiration(ETo)is one of the main tools for the control of crop growth and to make a rational use of water *** estimate this parameter accurately,it is necessary to have a daily measurement of four meteorological variables,these are:temperature,solar radiation,relative humidity and wind *** is not always possible to count on all the variables,that is why there are empirical methods that use a limited number of variables that make an approximate estimate of the ETo *** of these models are applicable to different regions with completely different *** this paper,a study has been carried out to define the model of ETo estimation that best adapts to the semi-arid region in South *** different datasets for the same period from different meteorological stations were *** addition to the empirical methods for estimating ETo,computer models ANFIS(Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System)were *** models consist in the future estimation of a certain parameter by using current variables and a history of variables and past *** results of this work show that ANFIS 11 model makes the best estimate with RmSD=0.002 and r=*** RITCHIE method is the most suitable empirical model for this region,which reaches RmSD=0.507 and r=*** addition,ranking of equations is elaborated for both datasets for daily estimates of ***,comparison is made with the results for each case and thus confirm or reject the convenience of one model over the *** achieve this,a series of statistical indicators were used:Index of agreement(d),mAE(mean absolute error),SEE(Standard error of estimate)and RmSD(Root mean square difference).moreover,a sensitivity analysis was performed in order to compare and show the stability of the best models when an error is introduced within the input *** this case,the empirical models demonstrate a better performance than the ANFIS *** work demonstrates that th

We present here experimental results on the optimization of the mega-electronvolt ion source from the target front surface by using relativistic(10^(18)W/cm^(2))interactions with ultra-short laser pulses(50 fs).The source perturbation in the accelerated proton/ion beam was primarily controlled by the addition of a pre-pulse to main pulse contrast *** 2D particle-in-cell simulations agreed well with the observed experimental results for the ion source perturbation and *** work provides insights into ion source perturbations(temporal and spatial)and the need to control them in intense laser–plasma *** results may assist in the efficient guiding of proton/ion beams to the core of fusion fuel or of ions in cancer therapy.

Deformation Stability of Al 7075/20%SiC<sub>p</sub>(63 μm) Composites during Hot Compression

In Stir cast Al 7075/20%SiCp composites were subjected to compression testing at strain rates and temperatures ranging from 0.001 to 1.0 s–1 and from 300°C to 500°C respectively. And the associated microstructural transformations and instability phenomena were studied by observations of the optical electron microscope. The power dissipation efficiency and instability parameter were calculated following the dynamic material model and plotted with the temperature and logarithm of strain rate to obtain processing maps for strains of 0.5. The processing maps present the instability zones at higher strain rates. The result shows that with increasing strain, the instability zones enlarge. The microstructural examination shows that the interface separates even the particle cracks or aligns along the shear direction of the adiabatic shear band in the instability zones. The domain of higher efficiencies corresponds to dynamic recrystallization during the hot deformation. Using the processing maps, the optimum processing parameters of stain rates and temperatures can be chosen for effective hot deformation of Al 7075/20%SiCp composites.

Regression Testing in Developer Environment for Absence of Code Coverage

The techniques of test case prioritization schedule the execution order of test cases to attain respective target, such as enhanced level of forecasting the fault. The requirement of the prioritization can be viewed as the en-route for deriving an order of relation on a given set of test cases which results from regression testing. Alteration of programs between the versions can cause more test cases which may respond differently to following versions of software. In this, a fixed approach to prioritizing test cases avoids the preceding drawbacks. The JUnit test case prioritization techniques operating in the absence of coverage information, differs from existing dynamic coverage-based test case prioritization techniques. Further, the prioritization test cases relying on coverage information were projected from fixed structures relatively other than gathered instrumentation and execution.

We used reported behavioural data from cisgender men who have sex with men and transgender women(mSm/TGW)in Bangalore,mainly collected from‘hot-spot’locations that attract mSm/TGW,to illustrate a technique to deal with potential issues with the representativeness of this sample.A deterministic dynamic model of HIV transmission was developed,incorporating three subgroups of mSm/TGW,grouped according to their reported predominant sexual role(insertive,receptive or versatile).Using mathematical modelling and data triangulation for‘balancing’numbers of partners and role preferences,we compared three different approaches to determine if our technique could be useful for inferring characteristics of a more‘hidden’insertive mSm subpopulation,and explored their potential importance for the HIV *** for 2009 across all three approaches suggest that HIV prevalence among insertive mSm was likely to be less than half that recorded in the surveys(4.5e6.5%versus 13.1%),but that the relative size of this subgroup was over four times larger(61e69%of all mSm/TGW versus 15%).We infer that the insertive mSm accounted for 10e20%of all prevalent HIV infections among urban males aged *** modelling can be used with data on‘visible’mSm/TGW to provide insights into the characteristics of‘hidden’mSm.A greater understanding of the sexual behaviour of all mSm/TGW is important for effective HIV *** broadly,a hidden subgroup with a lower infectious disease prevalence than more visible subgroups,has the potential to contain more infections,if the hidden subgroup is considerably larger in size.

Brown planthopper （Nilaparvata lugens Stal） is one of the most damaging pests causing hopper burn in rice, and thereby reducing the productivity and also the quality of the product. The effective management strategy to control this pest is the identification and transfer of desirable genes to local rice cultivars. The most important approach for developing resistant cultivars is the identification of markers, which can help in marker-assisted selection of more durable resistant genotype. The susceptible parent IR50 and the resistant parent Ptb33, and their F2 populations were used in bulked segregant analysis for identification of resistant genes with random amplified polymorphic DNA marker （RAPD） primers. The primers OPC7 and OPAG14 showed both dominant and susceptible specific banding pattern so called co-dominant markers. moreover, OPC7697 and OPAG14680 showed resistant specific bands and thus being in coupling phase, whereas OPC7846 and OPAG14650 showed susceptible specific genotypic bands in bulked segregant analysis. Therefore, the coupling phase markers, OPC7697 and OPAG14680, are considered to be more useful in marker-assisted selection of rice genotypes in crop improvement.

Quantification of 17-desacetyl norgestimate in human plasma by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–mS/mS) and its application to bioequivalence study

A rapid and sensitive ultra-performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry（UPLC–mS/mS） method was developed and validated for the estimation of 17-desacetyl norgestimate in human plasma using solid-phase extraction technique. 17-desacetyl norgestimate D6 was used as the internal standard. Simple gradient chromatographic conditions and mass spectrometric detection enabled accurate and precise measurement of 17-desacetyl norgestimate at sub-picogram levels. The proposed method was validated for a linear range of 20–5000 pg/m L with a correlation coefficient Z 0.9988. The intra-run and inter-run precision and accuracy were within 10%. The overall recoveries for 17-desacetyl norgestimate and 17-desacetyl norgestimate D6 were 96.30% and 93.90%, respectively. The total run time was 4.5 min. The developed method was applied for the determination of the pharmacokinetic parameters of 17-desacetyl norgestimate following a single oral administration of a norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol0.250 mg/0.035 mg tablets in 35 healthy female volunteers.

Synthesis, Spectral, Anti-Liver Cancer and Free Radical Scavenging Activity of New Azabicyclic Thienoyl Hydrazone Derivatives

To exploit the potential biological activities of azabicyclic based, seven 2r, 4c-diaryl-3-azabicyclo [3.3.1] nonan-9-one-2’-thienoyl hydrazone were synthesized. The structural elucidation and stereochemistry of these compound assigned by FT-IR, 1H, 13C and 2D NmR spectral data. The Structural Activity Relationship (SAR) of the target compounds were examined for their in vitro anti-proliferative, antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. The initial screen was treated against human liver cancer cell lines (HepG2) with IC50 values determined by mTT assay. Fluoro substitution at para position of phenyl ring compound 12 showed more antiproliferative activity against HepG2 at half maximum inhibitory concentration (IC50 = 3.76 μg/mL) than other target hydrazones. The mechanism of the antitumor action of active compound 12 was investigated through Hoechst stain 33342 analyses. It indicated that the compound inhibited HepG2 cancer cells proliferation by triggering apoptotic cell death. The Free radical scavenging activity of all synthesized compounds were evaluated with , and radicals. The compounds 11 (IC50 rang 3.78 - 4.31 μg/mL) and 15 (IC50 rang 4.61 - 5.16 μg/mL) were exhibited higher free radical scavenging activity than standard BHT drug. Besides, all the target compounds were screened for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity against a spectrum of microbial organisms by using twofold dilution method. These studies proved that halogen substituted compounds 12, 13 and 14 were showed excellent inhibitory potency at lowest minimum inhibitory concentration (mIC) range of 6.25 - 25.5 μg/mL. Nevertheless, multiple mechanisms regulating the antioxidant and anticancer effects of the hybrid molecules need to be further investigations.

Wearable Wireless Body Area Nodes for Remote Physiological Signal monitoring System

Wearable remote health monitoring systems have gained significant prominence in the recent years due to their growth in technological advances. One form of the Wearable Physiological monitoring System (WPmS) is the Wearable Body Area Networks (WBAN) used to monitor the health status of the wearer for long durations. The paper discusses a prototype WBAN based wearable physiological monitoring system to monitor physiological parameters such as Electrocardiogram (ECG) and Electroencephalogram (EEG) acquired using a textile electrode, Photoplethysmogram (PPG), Galvanic Skin Response (GSR), Blood Pressure derived from analysis of Pulse Transmit Time (PTT) and body temperature. The WBAN consists of three sensor nodes that are placed strategically to acquire the physiological signals and the sensor nodes communicate to a chest/wrist worn sink node also known as wearable data acquisition hardware. The sink node receives physiological data from the sensor nodes and is transmitted to a remote monitoring station. The remote monitoring station receives the raw data and it is processed to remove noises, such as power line interference, baseline wander and tremor in the signals and the information is extracted and displayed. The WBANs are designed using the ZigBee wireless communication modules to transmit and receive the data. At the remote monitoring station the physiological parameters such as heart rate, pulse rate, systolic, diastolic blood pressure, GSR and body temperature are continuously monitored from the wearer. The data acquired from the wearable monitoring system is statically validated using a qualified medical device on 34 subjects.
