In the present study,the influence of dynamic process parameters such as water pressure,traverse speed and abrasive mass flow rate on depth of penetration and surface topography in high strength AZ91 magnesium alloy were investigated using Abrasive Water Jet(AWJ)cutting *** parameters were varied at 3 levels and influences of each parameter on penetration ability were identified using analysis of variance(ANOVA).Contribution of water pressure and traverse speed on jet penetration found higher compared to abrasive mass flow *** projector was used to measure depth of *** features and topography of cut surfaces were examined using Scanning Electron microscopy(SEm).micro cutting and ploughing were observed on the top and bottom portion of the cut which were similar to that of modes of deformation in other ductile materials like aluminium and *** roughness of cut surfaces was measured using Taylor Hobson surface roughness *** roughness found higher at higher traverse speeds and lower at lower traverse *** study also highlights the suitability of AWJ cutting technology for cutting magnesium and its alloys.

Twenty four species of Bird’s nest fungi belonging to four genera, namely Crucibulum, Cyathus, Nidula and Sphaerobolus have been reported from India with most of the reports were from Northeastern states in the Eastern Himalaya region that is well recognized for its rich biodiversity. Among these genera, Cyathus is the largest genus with 61 species documented so far in the world including 17 species from India. So far, only Cyathus poeppigii has been reported from the Eastern Himalayan state of Arunachal Pradesh. In the present paper, another newly recorded species Cyathus striatus, is reported with its detail taxonomic characteristics. It produces comparatively smaller basidiocarps than the earlier reported collection from Darjeeling (West Bengal). Further, the basidiospores are thin walled but comparatively larger in size. The paper also lists all Bird’s nest fungi from India with detailed information.

This work focuses on the performance comparison of monocrystalline and polycrystalline Si solar photovoltaic(SPV)modules under tropical wet and dry climatic conditions in east-central India(21.16°N 81.65°E,Raipur,Chhattisgarh).This study would help to select the SPV module for system installation in the east-central part of the *** comparative analysis,we used performance ratio(PR)and efficiency as figures of *** plane-of-array(POA)irradiance was used to determine the efficiency of the *** decomposition and transposition models calculated the POA values from the measured global horizontal *** data were analysed systematically for 6 months in the non-rainy season,from October 2020 to march *** attention was given to solar irradiance,ambient temperature and module temperature-the parameters that affect the performance of PV *** month of October showed the highest variation in irradiance and *** highest average module temperatures(51-52℃)were observed in October-November,while the lowest average module temperatures(34℃ for mono-Si and 36℃ for poly-Si)were observed in *** highest value of average monthly POA irradiance(568 W/m^(2))was observed in February and the lowest(483 W/m^(2))in *** results showed that the monocrystalline SPV module performed better than the polycrystalline module under all weather *** maximum observed values of mono-Si and poly-Si panel PRs were 0.89 and 0.86,respectively,in December.

Effects of harvesting on productivity of bay leaf tree(Cinnamomum tamala Nees & Eberm):Case from Udayapur district of Nepal

Cultivation of bay leaves （Cinnamomum tamalaNees ＆ Eberm） to fulfil household income needs is a long established practice in Udayapur district of Nepal. The practices adopted by farmers for bay leaf harvesting have not, however, been validated by scientific investigation for their sustainability. To investigate the impacts of harvesting on the yield of branch, leaves and biomass of leaves, a two-year research project was conducted in farm fields at Kopche village of Routa VDC in Udayapur district, Nepal. Four different harvesting treatments, the orien-tation and the order of branches were taken as independent variables to test their effects on number of branches, leaves and biomass of leaves. Orientation, harvesting treatments and order of branches had a significant effect on the number of branches, but not on the number of leaves or biomass （fresh and dry weight） of leaves in the year of harvest. Between two consecutive harvests there was no significant difference in the num-ber of branches, leaves or biomass. Lower two-thirds portion of the trees produced the largest number of leaves and branches of the fourth order in both years. Therefore, lower two-thirds portion of the trees were suitable for harvesting. Our findings support farmer experience that no change in productivity of leaves is observed when harvesting each year. For long term sustainability, harvesting should be conducted without debarking of trees or damage to branches. Our findings could be extrapolated to and tested in other areas with different access and user rights where the rota-tion for harvest is fixed or regulated without research evidence.

The examination of decaying twig samples fallen on the forest floor in the Andaman Islands,India yielded a new fungal species in the genus Kamalomyces(Tubeufiaceae).The new species,Kamalomyces polyseptatus is described in this paper supported by *** novel species is characterized by superficial,scattered,globose to sub-globose,dark brown to black ascomata covered by dense black mycelium,clavate asci,vermiform,elongate,transverse septate,hyaline *** new species *** is easily distinguishable from other species of the genus by the presence of higher number of septa in the ascospores.A synopsis of salient features of different species of Kamalomycesis provided along with a dichotomous key to the known species of Kamalomyces.

Ascobolus is a very large genus among coprophilous fungi colonizing *** are very few workers who have explored dung fungi from *** a recent trip to Andaman Islands,examination of cow dung samples revealed a new coprophilous fungus in the genus Ascobolus and the same has been reported in this *** present new species *** colonizes and grows on cow *** is characterized by stalked,light-greenish-yellow apothecial ascomata,long cylindrical,short pedicellate asci with rounded apical caps,positive bluing reaction to Lougal’s reagent,ascospores that are hyaline to pale yellow red,smooth,cylindrical,thick-walled with two layers,sparsely dotted verruculose surface,very thin crevices.

Cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarct and leukoencephalopathy(CADASIL) is the most common monogenic form of cerebral small-vessel disease characterised by recurrent strokes. Behavioural disturbance also presents in a significant proportion of subjects as neurotic spectrum disorders and psychotic features are rarely reported. In this case report, we highlight a 32-year-old man with CADASIL syndrome, who had overt psychotic symptoms with neurological signs later on.

Surface radioactive survey has been carried with portable gamma ray spectrometer(PGRS) about the 45 km2 around the Srisailam sub basin,the surface radioactive anomalies were found at Chennakesavula gutta in the Srisailam sub basin of Cuddapah basin in the age of meso-neo proterozoic,*** integrated geochemical and radiometric surveys were conducted as part of research work in the Srisailam basin,it has resulted the locating of surface radioactive anomalies near the Chennakesavula *** uranium minerals are observed along with the fracture planes in the Archean basement granite in the proximity of unconformity contact of Srisailam *** granite underlies the Srisailam formation and forms the source for possible unconformity related uranium mineralisation in the Srisailam sub-basin evidence by the significant radioactive *** radioactivity recorded by PGRS reflected uraniferous nature of the radioactivity(Average total counts =195 ppm;U = 202 ppm;Th =22ppm;%K = 4.1,n = 15).

A novel Acetazolamide condensed 1,4-dihydropyridines was set up by treating of N-(5-acetamido-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylsulfonyl)-3-oxobutanamide with an aryl aldehyde and 25-30%alkali with sight amount of barium nitrate as a *** of the synthetic structure of the titled compounds(4-16)was substantiated by thin-layer chromatography(TLC),IR,^(1)H NmR,^(13)C NmR,mass spectra(mS)and elemental analysis(C,H,and N)were *** titled compounds were assessed for anticholinesterase activity against acetylcholinesterase and butyl cholinesterase *** titled compound produced weak,moderate,or high anticholinesterase ***,compound 8 demonstrated the best anticholinesterase activity of all the 1,4-dihydropyridines,with an IC_(50) estimation of 0.08μm and 2.9μm.
