Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in mATHEmATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Dissipative dynamics of an entangled three-qubit system via non-Hermitian Hamiltonian: Its correspondence with markovian and non-markovian regimes

We investigate an entangled three-qubit system in which only one of the qubits experiences the decoherence effect by considering a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian,while the other two qubits are isolated,i.e.,do not interact with environment,***,the time evolution of the density matrix(for the pure as well as mixed initial density matrix)and the corresponding reduced density matrices are obtained,by which we are able to utilize the dissipative non-Hermitian Hamiltonian model with markovian and non-markovian regimes via adjusting the strange of the non-Hermitian term of the total Hamiltonian of the under-considered system.

The Swedish astrophysicist and Nobel Prize winner Hannes Alfven said： Theories come and go -- the experiment is here forever. Often a theory, which we set up to describe an observed physical phenomenon, suffers from the lack of knowledge of decisive parameters, and therefore at best the theory becomes insufficient. Contrary, the experiment always reveals nature itself, though at prevailing experimental conditions. With essential parameters being out of control and even maybe unidentified, apparently similar experiments may deviate way beyond our expectations. However, these discrepancies offer us a chance to reflect on the character of the unknown parameters. In this way non-concordant experimental results may hold the key to the development of better theories - and to new experiments for the testing of their validity. Cavitation and cavitation nuclei are phenomena of that character.

Deformed photon-added entangled squeezed vacuum and one-photon states: Entanglement, polarization, and nonclassical properties

In this paper, after a brief review on the entangled squeezed states, we produce a new class of the continuous-variable- type entangled states, namely, deformed photon-added entangled squeezed states. These states are obtained via the iterated action of the f-deformed creation operator A = f（n）a＋ on the entangled squeezed states. In the continuation, by studying the criteria such as the degree of entanglement, quantum polarization as well as sub-Poissonian photon statistics, the two- mode correlation function, one-mode and two-mode squeezing, we investigate the nonclassical behaviors of the introduced states in detail by choosing a particular f-deformation function. It is revealed that the above-mentioned physical properties can be affected and so may be tuned by justifying the excitation number, after choosing a nonlinearity function. Finally, to generate the introduced states, we propose a theoretical scheme using the nonlinear Jaynes-Cummings model.

Failure pattern in ceramic metallic target under ballistic impact

The ballistic resistance and failure pattern of a bi-layer alumina 99.5%-aluminium alloy 1100-H12 target against steel 4340 ogival nosed projectile has been explored in the present experimental cum numerical *** the experimental investigation,damage induced in the ceramic layer has been quantified in terms of number of cracks developed and failure zone *** resultant damage in the backing layer has been studied with variation in the bulge and perforation hole in the backing layer with the varying incidence *** discussion of the experimental results has been further followed by three dimensional finite element computations using ABAQUS/Explicit finite code to investigate the behaviour of different types of bi-layer targets under multi-hit projectile *** JH-2 constitutive model has been used to reproduce the behaviour of alumina 99.5%and JC constitutive model has been used for steel 4340 and aluminium alloy *** total energy dissipation has been noted to be of lesser magnitude in case of sub-sequential impact in comparison to simultaneous impact of two *** distance between the impact points of two projectiles also effected the ballistic resistance of bi-layer *** ballistic resistance of single tile ceramic front layer and four tile ceramic of equivalent area found to be dependent upon the boundary conditions provided to the target.

By combining all optical,electronic,and mechanical capabilities,electro-optomechanical systems,along with the use of mechanical displacement,the conversion of low-frequency electrical signals into much higher-frequency optical signals is *** process provides several capabilities that have very important applications in various fields,including classical,as well as quantum *** this regard,the inevitable effect of dissipation on the performance indicators of such systems is one of the important issues affecting its *** approach for investigating the effect of dissipation is based on a time-dependent Hamiltonian has been known as the Caldirola-kanai(Ck)Hamiltonian,wherein the exponentially increasing mass,i.e.m(t)=m0(eγt)enters the mechanical oscillator *** this approach shows that,the performance of the system under the influence of dissipation with Ck Hamiltonian formalism,in which the dissipation terms are embedded in the Hamiltonian,are more logical,analytical,and reliable than considering the effect of dissipation with the phenomenological method(including the dissipation effects in the equations of motion by hand),which has been recently used in Bagci et al.(Nature,507,81,2014).In our method,it is also possible to monitor the performance of the system via the adjustment of dissipation components,i.e.,resistance R and reactance L(and Ck damping parameterγ)in the electrical(mechanical membrane)part of the system.

Generalization properties of restricted Boltzmann machine for short-range order

A biased sampling algorithm for the restricted Boltzmann machine(RBm) is proposed, which allows generating configurations with a conserved quantity. To validate the method, a study of the short-range order in binary alloys with positive and negative exchange interactions is carried out. The network is trained on the data collected by monte–Carlo simulations for a simple Ising-like binary alloy model and used to calculate the Warren–Cowley short-range order parameter and other thermodynamic properties. We demonstrate that the proposed method allows us not only to correctly reproduce the order parameters for the alloy concentration at which the network was trained, but can also predict them for any other concentrations.

Synthesis of Aligned ZnO Nanorod Array on Silicon and Sapphire Substrates by Thermal Evaporation Technique

High density ZnO nanorods were grown by thermal evaporation of Zn powder at 700℃ on Si （100） and sapphire （0001） substrates at atmospheric pressure without adding any catalyst. The nanorods were characterizated in terms of their structural and optical properties. The nanorods grown on Si have a diameter of 350-400 nm and a length of 1.2 μm while those on sapphire have a diameter of 600-800 nm and a length of 2.5 μm. During the structural characterization, it is noticed that the rods grow along the （0002） plane with perfect hexagonal facet. The room temperature photoluminescence spectrum showed a strong UV emission peak at 385 nm with a weak green band emission, which confirms that nanorods have good optical properties. It is observed that the oxygen partial pressure plays an important role to control the shape and size of the nanorods in thermal evaporation growth technique.

Aging Coefficient, Creep Coefficient and Extrapolating Aging Coefficient from Short Term Test for Sealed Concrete

Aging coefficient and creep coefficient are important parameters for creep analysis of any structure. With the aim to obtain those parameters, an experimental investigation is carried out on sealed concrete. Altogether ten specimens were tested, out of which four were for creep, two for shrinkage and remaining four for relaxation test. A year of relaxation test and two years of creep test results were analyzed to compute aging coefficient and creep coefficient. From regression analysis of observed and calculated aging coefficient using formula of Bazant and kim, modification for aging coefficient is performed and extrapolation equations are generated. Instead of ACI model, B3 model has been used to obtain compliance function as the parameters of B3 model seems more relevant to creep mechanism of concrete compared to that of ACI model.
