Nd Fe_（1-x）Ni_xO_3（0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.7） orthoferrites are synthesized by solid state reaction method, and the structural properties of these materials are investigated by employing x-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEm） and m o¨ssbauer spectroscopy. The orthorhombic structure is observed in all systems; however, with the increase in Ni doping,the increase in tolerance factor and the decrease in the cell volume are observed. Orthorhombic distortion decreases with Ni content increasing up to 50%, while above 50% Ni doping it increases. SEm examination indicates the increases in grain size and intermixing of grains with increase in Ni concentration. Comparison between bulk and theoretical densities shows that in each of all samples porosity is less than 2%. m？ssbauer spectroscopic investigations are performed to explain local structure, Fe oxidation states and collapse of the magnetic ordering. in these samples the Fe oxidation state remains＋3 and there is no considerable increase in hole states observed; however due to mismatch of the ionic radii between Fe^（3＋） and Ni^（3＋）, octahedral distortions, sagging and distribution of hyperfine parameters increase with increase in Ni concentration. The major factors behind the collapse of magnetic ordering in the Ni-doped systems are the weakening of the super-exchange interactions, decrease in the Neel temperature, increase in spin–spin relaxation frequency and high spin to low spin transition.

The thermomechanical analysis （TmA） of Cu0.5T10.5Ba2Ca2-xRxCu30110-δ, where R=Pr and La, with 0.0〈x〈0.15, was carried out in temperature range from 450 to 1145 K. The samples were prepared by singlestep solid state reaction technique. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEm）. The superconductivity of the prepared samples was investigated by electrical resistivity measurement. The results showed that low substitution content enhanced the （Cu0.5Tlo.5）- 1223 phase formation, while the higher substitution content degraded this phase. The higher superconducting transition temperatures Tc were found to be 114 K and 109 K at x= 0.025 for Pr- and La-substitutions, respectively. The average linear thermal expansion coefficient increased as x increased, while the shrinkage temperature decreased as x increased. Those results were emphasized by porosity and Vickers microhardness calculations. Debye temperature 0D was calculated from the linear thermal expansion coefficient data and correlated to Tc to estimate the electron-phonon coupling λep.

The inhibition effects of sodium vanadate along with inorganic coolantinhibitors were examined on corrosion of AZ91D in ASTm D1384-80 corrosive water by polarizationmeasurements. The galvanic corrosion of AZ91D coupled to 3003, 6063, and 356 Al alloys were alsotested. An effective combination of inhibitors containing (but not limited to) sodium vanadate,silicate, and nitrate was proposed for inhibition of AZ91D and prevention of galvanic corrosion.

Currently, there are a limited number of dynamic models available for braided composite plates with large overall motions, despite the incorporation of three-dimensional(3D) braided composites into rotating blade components. in this paper, a dynamic model of 3D 4-directional braided composite thin plates considering braiding directions is established. Based on Kirchhoff's plate assumptions, the displacement variables of the plate are expressed. By incorporating the braiding directions into the constitutive equation of the braided composites, the dynamic model of the plate considering braiding directions is obtained. The effects of the speeds, braiding directions, and braided angles on the responses of the plate with fixed-axis rotation and translational motion, respectively, are investigated. This paper presents a dynamic theory for calculating the deformation of 3D braided composite structures undergoing both translational and rotational motions. it also provides a simulation method for investigating the dynamic behavior of non-isotropic material plates in various applications.

in this paper we present a novel GPU-oriented method of creating an inherently continuous triangular mesh for tile-based rendering of regular height fields. The method is based on tiling data-independent semi-regular meshes of non-uniform structure, a technique that is quite different from other mesh tiling approaches. A complete, memory efficient set of mesh patterns is created by an off-line procedure and stored into the graphics adapter＇s memory at runtime. At rendering time, for each tile, one of the precomputed mesh patterns is selected for rendering. The selected mesh pattern fits the required level of details of the tile and ensures seamless connection with other adjacent mesh patterns, like in a game of dominoes. The scalability potential of the proposed method is demonstrated through quadtree hierarchical grouping of tiles. The efficiency is verified by experimental results on height fields for terrain representation, where the method achieves high frame rates and sustained triangle throughput on high resolution viewports with sub-pixel error tolerance. Frame rate sensitivity to real-time modifications of the height field is measured, and it is shown that the method is very tolerant and consequently well tailored for applications dealing with rapidly changeable phenomena represented by height fields.

We investigate the fragmentation cross sections of 158 AGeV ^207Pb projectile interacting with different targets using CR39 nuclear track detectors. The exposure is made at SPS beam facility of CERN. The detectors are chemically etched to obtain data in the form of etched cone length. The nuclear and electromagnetic contributions to the measured total charge-changing cross sections are investigated. The estimated results are compared with those found in the literature for similar research work.
