AIm： A high percentage of early-stage high-grade gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue （mALT） lymphomas remain Helicobacter pylori （ H pylori）-dependent. However,unlike their low-grade counterparts, high-grade gastric mALT lymphomas may progress rapidly if unresponsive to H pylori eradication. It is mandatory to identify m.rkers that may predict the H pylori-dependent status of these tum.rs. Proliferation of mALT lymphoma cells depends on cognate help and cell-to-cell contact of H pylori- spedfic intratum.ral T-cells. To examine whether the expression of co-stimulatory m.rker CD86 （B7.2） and the infiltration of CD56 （＋） natural killer （NK） cells can be useful m.rkers to predict Hpylori-dependent status of high-grade gastric mALT iymphoma.mETHODS： Lymphoma biopsies from 26 patients who had participated in a prospective study of Hpylori-eradication for stage IE high-grade gastric mALT lymphomas were evaluated. Tum.rs that resolved to Wotherspoon grade Ⅱ or less alter H pylori eradication were dassified as H pylori-dependent; others were dassified as H *** infiltration of NK cells and the expression of CD86 in pre-treatment paraffin-embedded lymphoma tissues were determined by immunohistochemistry. rESULTS： There were 16 H pylori-dependent and 10 H pylori-independent cases. CD86 expression was detected in 11 （68.8%） of 16 H pylori-dependent cases but in none of 10 H pylori-independent cases （P = 0.001）.H pylori-dependent high-grade gastric mALT lymphomas contained significantly higher numbers of CD56 （＋） NK cells than H pylori-independent cases （2.8±1.4% vs 1.1±0.8%, P = 0.003）. CD86 positive mALT lymphomas also showed significantly increased infiltration of CD56 （＋） NK cells compared to CD86-negative cases （2.9±1.1% vs 1.4±1.3%; P= 0.005）.CONCLUSION： These results suggest that the expression of co-stimulatory m.rker CD86 and the increased infiltration of NK cells are associated with Hpylori-dependent state of early-stage high-grade gastric m

AIm： TO explore the prevalence of gallstone disease （GSD） in Taiwan and condition-associated factors related to it. mETHODS： We studied a total of 2386 healthy adults （1235 males and 1151 females） voluntarily admitted to Cheng hsin General Hospital for a paid physical check-up between January 2002 and December 2002. Blood samples and ultrasound sonography results were collected. rESULTS： The overall prevalence of GSD among this study-population was 5.3%, including 1.7% （n=40） having a single stone, 2.3% （n = 55） having multiple stones, and 1.3% （n = 31） having cholecystectomy. The prevalence revealed a statistically significant increase with increasing age （P〈 0.0001）. Females exhibited a greater prevalence of multiple stones than did males （3.0% vs 1.7%, P= 0.04）. Using multiple logistic regression analysis, the following appeared to be significantly related to the prevalence of GSD： older age （40-49 years vs 〈40 years, Or= 1.63 [95% CI： 0.76-3.48], 50-59 years vs 〈40 years, Or=4.93 [95% CI： 2.43-9.99], 60-69 years vs 〈40 years, Or = 6.82 [95% CI： 3.19-14.60], ≥70 years vs 〈40 years, Or= 10.65 [95% CI： 4.78-23.73]）, higher BmI （≥27 kg/m^2 vs 〈24 kg/m^2, adjusted Or= 1.74 [95% CI： 1.04-2.88]）, and higher FPG （≥ 126 mg/dL vs 〈110 mg/dL, Or= 1.71, 95% CI： 1.01-2.96）. CONCLUSION： Older age （≥50 years）, obesity （BmI ≥ 27 kg/m^2）, and type 2 diabetes （FPG ≥126 mg/dL） are associated with the prevalence of GSD.

收集了台湾强震观测计划（TSmIP）台站记录的2010年袭击台湾南部的甲仙地震（m6．4）的强震加速度图，用来对我们提出的短距离地震预警（EEW）方法进行离线测试。2010年的甲仙地震表明了人们对短距离地震预警的迫切需求。所测试的短距离地震预警方法是一种基于阈值的方法，依赖于滤波后的垂直位移的幅度。我们的结果显示，与台湾当前针对短距离警报的地震预警系统（EEWS）相比，所测试方法的地震预警提前时间有了显著提高。对于震中距约为25km的地方，地震预警的提前时间比强地震动加速度到达时间早了2～4s。我们认为，这种基于阈值的地震预警方法也许可用于目标地区和全球孕震区附近急需地震预警的对象。

Using astrometric techniques developed by Anderson et al., we determine proper motions （Pms） in the ~ 14.60 × 16.53 arcmin^2 area of the kinematically ＂thick-disk＂ globular cluster m 12. The cluster＇s proximity and sparse nature makes it a suitable target for ground-based telescopes. Archive images with time gap of ~ 11.1 years were observed with the wide-field imager （WFI） mosaic cam-era mounted on the ESO 2.2m telescope. The median value of Pm error in both components is 0.7masyr^-1 for the stars having V ≤ 20mag. Pms are used to determine membership probabil-ities and to separate field stars from the cluster sample. In electronic form, a membership catalog of 3725 stars with precise coordinates, Pms and BVrI photometry is being provided. One of the possible applications of the catalog is demonstrated by gathering the membership information of the variable stars, blue stragglers and X-ray sources reported earlier in the cluster＇s region.

BACKGrOUND Hepatitis C virus(HCV)genotype 6(HCV-6)infection is prevalent predominantly in Southeast Asia,and the data on the virologic response of HCV-6 to direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)are sparse in people living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)(PLWH).AIm To assess the virologic response of HCV-6 to DAAs in *** From September 2016 to July 2019,PLWH coinfected with HCV-6 initiating DAAs were *** investigations were performed at baseline,the end of treatment,and 12 wk *** Of the 349 PLWH included(mean age 48.9 years,82.5%men),80.5%com.rised people who inject drugs,18.1%men who have sex with men,and 1.4%*** hepatitis B virus infection was present in 12.3%of the included PLWH,liver cirrhosis 10.9%,hepatocellular carcinoma 0.9%,and previous HCV treatment experience 10.9%.The mean baseline plasma HCV rNA was 6.2 log10 IU/m *** with glecaprevir/pibrentasvir was initiated in 51.9%,sofosbuvir/ledipasvir 41.5%,sofosbuvir/velpatasvir 6.3%,and sofosbuvir/daclatasvir 0.3%.At DAA initiation,antiretroviral therapy containing tenofovir alafenamide was given in 26.4%,tenofovir disoproxil fum.rate 34.4%,non-tenofovir alafenamide/tenofovir disoproxil fum.rate 39.3%,non-nucleoside reverse-transcriptase inhibitors 30.4%,protease inhibitors 4.0%,and integrase strand transfer inhibitors 66.8%;94.8%of the included patients had CD4 counts≥200 cells/mm3 and 96.0%had plasma HIV rNAm ***,96.8%achieved undetectable plasma HCV rNA(m L)at end of treatment;and 92.3%achieved sustained virologic response 12 wk off-therapy in the intention-to-treat analysis(93.5%in patients receiving sofosbuvir-based DAAs and 91.2%in those receiving glecaprevir/pibrentasvir).CONCLUSION Similar to the observation made in HIV-negative patients,sustained virologic response 12 wk offtherapy with DAAs is high in PLWH coinfected with HCV-6.

Tomography is an informative imaging modality that is usually implemented by mechanical scanning,owing to the limited depth-of-field(DOF)in conventional ***,recent imaging systems are working towards m.re compact and stable architectures;therefore,developing nonmotion tomography is highly ***,we propose a metalens-based spectral imaging system with an aplanatic GaN metalens(NA=0.78),in which large chromatic dispersion is used to access spectral focus tuning and optical zooming in the visible *** the function of wavelength-switched tomography was confirmed on cascaded samples,this aplanatic metalens is utilized to image microscopic frog egg cells and shows excellent tomographic images with distinct DOF features of the cell mem.rane and *** approach makes good use of the large diffractive dispersion of the metalens and develops a new imaging technique that advances recent informative optical devices.

To response the demand for fine line in electronic products,additive manufacturing process integrated printing techniques and deposited methods to reach fine line circuit,with the m.rits of reduced material wastage,low fabrication costs,and mass production advantage ***,we have developed additive process in fabricating circuit on flexible substrate through catalyst induced copper electroless deposition(ELD)*** additive processes that integrated printing,activation,and metallization were applied to produce fine-line circuit with 5μm line *** sample with ultraviolet(UV)activation shows better conductive property in comparison with the sample without activation after electroless deposited ***,the results indicated that the reaction of catalyst induced electroless copper plating strongly depends on UV *** fine-line circuit exhibits a narrow line width circuit(around 5μm),lower resistance(6.2μΩ·cm),and mass production with low pollution in comparison with lithographic processes(with photoresist and acid pollution)with a high throughput system.r2r system)for the applications of double side flexible printed circuit board(FPCB).

The NCU (National Central University) Lu Lin Observatory (Fig. 1) is located at mt. Front Lu Lin, 120°52′25″E and 23°28′07″N, a 2862 m peak in the Yu Shan National Park. The construction of Lu Lin Observatory was finished on January 14, 1999. The initial study of Lu Lin site was started since late 1989. Later on, a three year project was founded by the National Science Council (NSC) which supported the development of a modern seeing monitor for this site survey study from 1990 through 1993. The average seeing of Lu Lin site is about 1.39 arc second with average 200 clear nights annually. The sky background of this site is 20.72 mag/arcsec 2 in V band and 21.22 mag/arcsec 2 in B band. The Lu Lin observatory is developed for both research and education activity. A homemade 76 cm Super Light Telescope (SLT) and three TAOS’s 50 cm.robotic telescopes will be the two major research facilities. The SLT is expected to be operated in the fall of 1999. We are proposing a pilot program to perform SLT observations of time varying astrophysical objects exploiting the unique geophysical location (e. g. time and longitudinal coverage) of Taiwan at the Western Pacific rim in such topics of em.rging interest. The TAOS’s telescopes will be installed in the late 1999 for the survey work of Kuiper Belt Objects. A wireless T1 Network system will also be build up for future remote observation.
