The current study deals with exact soliton solutions for Schrödinger-Hirota(SH)equation via two modi-fied integration *** methods are known as the improved(G/G)-expansion method and the Kudryashov *** model is a generalized version of the nonlinear Schrödinger(NLS)equation with higher order dispersion and cubic *** can be considered as a more accurate approximation than the NLS equation in explaining wave propagation in the ocean and optical fibers.A novel deriva-tive operator named as the conformable truncated m-fractional is used to study the above mentioned *** obtained results can be used in describing the Schrödinger-Hirota equation in some better *** the obtained results are verified through symbolic computational ***,the ob-tained results show that the suggested approaches have broaden capacity to secure some new soliton type solutions for the fractional differential equations in an effective *** the end,the results are also explained through their graphical representations.

Retaining walls have been used in many construction projects such as for road and inclined surfaces protection. The damage caused by an earthquake depends on the fundamental frequency, amplitude and the duration of the seismic motion. These parameters strongly depend on the seismic properties of the layers that are near the surface. In the study of retaining walls, in addition to the infl uence of soil, the infl uence of topography is also important. In the present study, site response analysis is performed by using fi nite element software PLAXIS to obtain the eff ect of various factors such as embedded length of the sheet pile, underground water table, length and angle of the nail, shear wave velocity of soil on site eff ect and dynamic response. moreover, for better understanding of the eff ect of the above parameters, the stability analysis was performed by using shear reduction method. The results show that an increase in the embedded length of the sheet pile and the length of nailing causes an increase in the amplifi cation factor. moreover, for shear-wave velocity in the range of 200- 600 m/s, the amplifi cation factor increases with increase of the shear-wave velocity due to the decrease of nonlinear behavior.

mini-channel heatsinks are one of the most effective thermal management methods for high heatflux devices due to the high performance of convective heat *** recent years,various techniques have been innovated to improve the thermal proficiency of the mini-channel *** of these are taking advantage offins’structural designs and ar-rangements of inlets and *** zigzagfins and channels were considered in the previous works in heatsinks,and researchers analyzed their cooling enhancement ***,in the present work,a combined cooling technique,considering new-type zigzagfins’geometrical parameters(arrangement,length,and height)causes turbulenceflow and higher convective heat transfer along with different positionings offlow inlet and outlets resulting in superior temper-ature uniformity,is proposed to evaluate their impacts on the cooling proficiency of the heat sink versus different Reynolds *** assess the thermal and hydraulic performance of the proposed heatsink,different parameters,including temperature contours,Nusselt numbers,thermal resistance,and entropy generation are *** a result,it is observed that in the case demonstrating the best thermal performance,the Nusselt number,pressure drop,thermal resistance,and entropy generation are respectively 37.13,4586.46 Pa,0.000078 m^(2)·K/W,and 0.1078 W/K in the best *** well,it is found that by changing the arrangements of inlets and outlets,the Nusselt number,and thermal resistance are improved by 12%and 13%,***,the proposed mini-channel heat sink could be used as a high-performance thermal management system for electronic devices in different industries,including energy,solar,and medical sectors.

Prognostic Value of Promoter Hypermethylation of Retinoic Acid Receptor Beta (RARB) and CDKN2 (p16/mTS1) in Prostate Cancer

Objective: The molecular mechanism of prostate cancer is poorly understood. The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence and prognostic value of promoter hypermethylation of retinoic acid receptor beta (RARB) and p16 among benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer patients. methods: In this case-control study, 63 patients were included in three groups; 21 with BPH as the control group, 21 with prostate cancer and good prognostic factors (based on prostate-specific antigen, Gleason score and stage) as good prognosis group, and 21 with prostate cancer and poor prognostic features as poor prognosis group. The prostate biopsy specimen of each individual was examined for hypermethylation of RARB and p16 promoters by methylation specific PCR (mSPCR). Results: Seven (33.3%) patients with good prognosis and 15 (71.4%) patients with poor prognosis were positive for RARB methylation, which were significantly higher than controls (P moter methylation was shown in 19.0% and 47.6% patients with good and poor prognosis, respectively. The RARB and p16 promoter methylation in the poor prognosis group was significantly higher than that in the good prognosis group (P =0.02 for RARB and Pmethylation of RARB and p16 promoters may predict prognosis in prostate cancer.

The 3A zeolites are excellent adsorbents for industrial-scale gas dehydration because of the low energy required for regeneration and ease of operation.A computational study of the dehydration of an industrial feed stream containing ethane and water was performed using an in-house code that included an appropriate equilibrium adsorption *** validated computational model was used to examine the impact of particle size on the process dynamics and the corresponding pressure *** water concentration along the adsorption column was also *** increase the process capacity,the packed adsorption bed was divided into two distinct layers,which were operated with different particle *** length of each layer was determined by a parametric *** best breakthrough time,i.e.,107,800 s,at the allowed pressure drop was obtained when the lengths of the first and second layers were 4.5 and 1 m,*** results showed that the new two-layer adsorption bed could save around 33.8%in total energy requirement in comparison to that of a single bed.

The design of micro-devices involving aerosol transport requires the study of the deposition of aerosols in micro-channels. In this study, the slip and no-slip boundary conditions for the gas flow regime were applied to the Navier-Stokes equations to obtain the particle deposition in simple and converging-diverging micro-channels. The equation of particle motion included inertial, viscous, Brownian, and gravity terms. It was found that the ratio of gravity to inertial effects controls the deposition of particles with diameters of 0.1-1 μm, and the ratio of diffusion to inertial effects controls the deposition of particles with diameters of 0.01-0.001 i^m. Comparison between the no-slip and slip flow regimes showed that the deposition of 0.1- to 1-μm-diameter particles was less and the deposition of 0.01- to 0.001-1μm-diameter particles was greater for the slip flow regime. There was no significant difference between slip and no-slip flow regimes for the deposition of 0.01- to 0.1-μm-diameter particles. Finally, it was shown that the stagnated gas in the corners of the converging-diverging micro-channel produced similar gas velocity profiles under the slip and no-slip flow regimes.

Effects of Pits and mounds Following Windthrow Events on Soil Features and Greenhouse Gas Fluxes in a Temperate Forest

Pit and mound micro-relief(resultant microsites from trees uprooted by windthrow) could have regimes of microclimate and soil features that differ from areas of undisturbed soil. In an attempt to provide a comprehensive evaluation of the significance of pits and mounds on soil features and also the dynamics of greenhouse gas(GHG) fluxes at local scale, this study was carried out in a reserved area of Darabkola forest in mazandaran Province, northern Iran. The age of a pit and mound was considered equal to the degree of decay of the blown down tree. Three microsites were distinguished, consisting of pit bottom(PB), mound top(mT) and undisturbed area(UA). Soil samples were taken at 0–15 and 15–30 cm depths from all microsites and analysed for soil physical, chemical and biological features. Our findings suggested that in context of forest ecology, pits and mounds following windthrow events should be considered as an effective factor influencing soil features(i.e., density, texture, water content, p H, organic C, total N, available nutrients and earthworm density/biomass) and especially GHG fluxes. Results showed that mT acted as a sink for N2O(-0.010 mg N2 O m-2d-1) and CH4(-0.257 mg CH4m-2d-1) fluxes and also produced lower CO2 concentrations(0.095 mg CO2 m-2d-1) than PB(0.207 mg CO2 m-2d-1) and UA(0.098 mg CO2 m-2d-1). As a consequence, a separation into pits/mounds would be important for a precise budgeting of greenhouse gases.
