In eukaryotic genome biology,the genomic organization inside the three-dimensional(3D)nucleus is highly complex,and whether this organization governs gene expression is poorly *** lamina(NL)is a filamentous meshwork of proteins present at the lining of inner nuclear membrane that serves as an anchoring platform for genome *** chromatin domains termed as lamina-associated domains(LADs),play a major role in silencing genes at the nuclear *** interaction of the NL and genome is dynamic and ***,many genes change their positions during developmental processes or under disease conditions such as cancer,to activate certain sorts of genes and/or silence *** heterochromatin(PCH)is mostly in the silenced region within the genome,which localizes at the nuclear *** show that several genes located at the PCH are aberrantly expressed in *** interesting question is that despite being localized in the pericentromeric region,how these genes still manage to overcome pericentromeric *** epigenetic mechanisms control the expression of the pericentromeric region,recent studies about genome organization and genome-nuclear lamina interaction have shed light on a new aspect of pericentromeric gene regulation through a complex and coordinated interplay between epigenomic remodeling and genomic organization in Cancer.

most studies that have examined mercury （Hg） contamination of fish have focused on game species feeding near the top of the food web, while studies that examine forage fish that feed near the base of the food web are rare. We conducted a survey of Hg contamination in three species of forage fish, brook silverside （Labidesthes sicculus）, threadfin shad （Dorosoma petenense） and gizzard shad （Dorosoma cepedianum）, from Caddo Lake, Texas, USA and found species-specific differences in Hg concentrations. We examined total length, age, trophic position （determined using δ15N）, and growth rate of forage fish as factors that could have influenced within-and between-species differences in Hg concentration. Total length and age were the best predictors of within-species differences in Hg concentration. Between-species differences in Hg concentrations were most strongly influenced by trophic position.

Proton-rich nuclei are synthesized via photodisintegration and reverse *** examine this mechanism and reproduce the observed p-nucleus abundances,it is crucial to know the reaction rates and thereby the reaction cross sections of many *** that the number of experiments on the reactions in astrophysical energy regions is very rare,the reaction cross sections are determined by theoretical methods whose accuracy should be *** this study,given that ^(121)Sb is a stable seed isotope located in the region of medium-mass p-nuclei,we investigated the cross sections and reaction rates of the ^(121)Sb(α,γ)^(125)I reaction using the TALYS computer code with 432 different combinations of input parameters(OmP,LDm,and SFm).The optimal model combinations were determined using the threshold logic unit *** theoretical reaction cross-sectional results were compared with the experimental results reported in the *** reaction rates were determined using the two input parameter sets most compatible with the measurements,and they were compared with the reaction rate databases:STARLIB and REACLIB.

Sacred groves are patches of forests preserved for their spiri- tual and religious significance. The practice gained relevance with the spread of agriculture that caused large-scale deforestation affecting bio- diversity and watersheds. Sacred groves may lose their prominence nowadays, but are still relevant in Indian rural landscapes inhabited by traditional communities. The recent rise of interest in this tradition encouraged scientific study that despite its pan-Indian distribution, focused on India＇s northeast, Western Ghats and east coast either for their global/regional importance or unique ecosystems. most studies focused on flora, mainly angiosperms, and the faunal studies concentrated on vertebrates while lower life fomas were grossly neglected. Studies on ecosystem functioning are few although observations are available. most studies attributed watershed protection values to sacred groves but hardly highlighted hydrological process or water yield in comparison with other land use types. The grove studies require diversification from a stereo- typed path and must move towards creating credible scientific foundations for conservation. Documentation should continue in unexplored areas but more work is needed on basic ecological functions and ecosystem dynamics to strengthen planning for scientifically sound sacred grove management.

Simple Efficient Smart Finite Elements for the Analysis of Smart Composite Beams

This paper is concerned with the development of new simple 4-noded locking-alleviated smart finite elements for modeling the smart composite *** exact solutions for the static responses of the overall smart composite beams are also derived for authenticating the new smart finite *** overall smart composite beam is composed of a laminated substrate conventional composite beam,and a piezoelectric layer attached at the top surface of the substrate *** piezoelectric layer acts as the actuator layer of the smart *** finite element models of the beams,based on an“equivalent single layer high order shear deformation theory”,and a“layer-wise high order shear deformation theory”,are also derived for the purpose of investigating the required number of elements across the thickness of the overall smart composite *** cross-ply substrate beams are considered for presenting the *** responses computed by the present new“smart finite element model”excellently match with those obtained by the exact *** new smart finite elements developed here reveal that the development of finite element models of smart composite beams does not require the use of conventional first order or high order or layer-wise shear deformation theories of ***,the use of the presently developed locking-free 4-node elements based on conventional linear piezo-elasticity is sufficient.

Computational Fluid Dynamics-Discrete Element method is used to model gas-solid systems in several applications in energy,pharmaceutical and petrochemical *** performance bot-tlenecks often limit the problem sizes that can be simulated at industrial *** data structures used to store several millions of particles in such large-scale simulations have a large memory footprint that does not fit into the processor cache hierarchies on current high-performance-computing platforms,leading to reduced computational *** paper specifically addresses this aspect of memory access bottlenecks in industrial scale *** use of space-flling curves to improve memory access patterns is described and their impact on computational performance is quantified in both shared and distributed memory parallelization *** morton space flling curve applied to uniform grids and k-dimensional tree partitions are used to reorder the particle data-structure thus improving spatial and temporal locality in *** performance impact of these techniques when applied to two benchmark problems,namely the homogeneous-cooling-system and a fluidized-bed,are *** optimization techniques lead to approximately two-fold performance improvement in particle focused operations such as neighbor-list creation and data-exchange,with~1.5 times overall improvement in a fluidization simulation with 1.27 million particles.

In this work, we examine two algorithm schemes, namely, Kudryashov expansion and Auxiliary equation method for obtaining new optical soliton solutions of the discrete electrical lattice models in nonlinear scheme(Salerno equation). Our solutions obtained here are include the hyperbolic, rational, and trigonometric functions. Our two used methods are proved to be effective and powerful methods in obtaining the exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations(NLEEs).

The Dergaon fall represents a shock-melted H4-5 （S5） ordinary chondrite which includes at least ten textural varieties of chondrules and belongs to the high chondrule-matrix ratio type. Our study reveals that the chondrules are of diverse mineralogy with variable olivine-pyroxene ratios （Type Ⅱ）, igneous melt textures developed under variable cooling rates and formed through melt fractionations from two different melt reservoirs. Based on the experimental analogues, mineralogical associations and phase compositions, it is suggested that the Dergaon chondrules reflect two contrasting environments： a hot, dust-enriched and highly oxidized nebular environment through melting, without significant evapora- tion, and an arrested reducing environment concomitant with major evaporation loss of alkali and highly volatile trace elements. Coexistence of chlorapatite and merrillite suggests formation of the Dergaon matrix in an acidic accretionary environment. Textural integration and chemical homogenization occurred at - I atmospheric pressure and a mean temperature of 765 ℃ mark the radiogenic thermal event. Equilibrated shock features （olivine mosaicism, diaplectic plagioclase, polycrystalline troilite） due to an impact-induced thermal event reflect a shock pressure 〉45 GPa and temperature of 600 ℃. By contrast, the local disequilibrium shock features （silicate melt veins comprising of olivine crystallites, troilite melt veins and metal droplets） correspond to a shock pressure up to 75 GPa and temperature 〉950 ℃.
