Adapted european seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 days post-hatching(dph)with a primary weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up to 46 dph using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude protein from fish meal,powder milk,and poultry egg)concurrently with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group(DHAS)or fish oil+20%Vitamin C(fOVC),or fish oil+20%Vitamin e(fOVe),or fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.e(fOCe),or fish oil only(fO).At 46 dph,groups of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and fOVe exhibited the highest final body weight,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,f.e. intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest f.e. conversion ***,larvae in fOVC displayed the lowest final body weight,total length,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,f.e. intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the highest f.e. conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no pathological alteration as well as an improvement in the structure with DHAS,fOVe,fOVC,and fOCe co-additives compared to *** peroxidase enzyme(GPx)recorded the highest rates(Pfed Artemia supplemented with DHAS and fOVe followed by fOCe and *** the lowest record for GPx activity was noted in the fO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia nauplii with fish oil+vitamin e in single or in companion with vitamin C as cheap antioxidants support *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy during the critical weaning period.

Aim： To find an in vitro system for the measurement of the androgenic ef.e.ts of dif.e.ent extracts of Hibiscus macranthus （malvaceae） and Basella alba （Basellaceae）. methods： The production of testosterone from testes slices incubated in two media, either Krebs-Henseleit buf.e. containing 0.5% Bovine serum albumin （BSA） or Dubecco＇s modif.e. eagle＇s medium-f12 ham nutrient mixture （Dme/ham f12）, under a mixture of 5% CO2 in 95% air was determined either in the presence or absence of cofactors and Hibiscus macranthus plus Basella alba （HmBA） extracts. Results： The testosterone production was increased in testes slices incubated in Dme/ham f12 medium in response to the cofactors （49%） and aqueous extracts （34%-60% according to dilutions）. Under the same atmospheric conditions, there was no positive response of the testes slices to either cofactor or HmBA extract stimulation in Krebs-Henseleit buf.e. containing 0.5% BSA, In further investigations related to the ef.e.t of HmBA, the Dme/ ham f12 medium was used. The results obtained from the in vitro test showed that the activity was present mainly in methylene chloride and methanol, since these extracts induced an increase in testosterone production by testes slices. Conclusion： The testes slice system is suitable to be used for further in vitro investigations of the isolation of androgenic bioactive components of plants. （Asian J Androl 2006 Jan; 8： 111-114）

A study of the NW Kakamas Domain in South Africa/Namibia provides a new,unif.e. lithostratigraphy and evolutionary history applicable to the whole Namaqua *** mesoproterozoic history ranges from~1350 ma to 960 ma,but isotopic evidence suggests it was built upon pre-existing Paleoproterozoic continental crust that extended west from the Archaean *** eastern Namaqualand,early rift-related magmatism and sedimentation at~1350 ma occurred in a confined ocean *** tectonic reversal and subduction at~1290–1240 ma led to establishment of the Areachap,Konkiep and Kaaien *** the Kakamas Domain,widespread deposition of pelitic sediments occurred at~1220 ma(Narries Group).These contain detrital zircons derived from proximal crust with ages between~2020 ma and 1800 ma(western Palaeoproterozoic domains)and 1350–1240 ma(eastern early Namaqua domains),suggesting pre-sedimentation *** pelites underwent granulite grade metamorphism at~1210 ma(peak conditions:4.5–6 kbar and 770–850°C),associated with voluminous,predominantly S-type granitoid orthogneisses between~1210 ma and 1190 ma(eendoorn and ham River Suites)and low-angle ductile(D_(2))deformation which continued until~1110 ma,interspersed with periods of *** enduring P-T regime is inconsistent with the expected crustal over-thickening associated with the generally-accepted collision-accretion Namaqualand ***,we propose the Namaqua Sector is a‘hot orogen’developed in a wide continental back-arc with subduction west of the present-day *** observed high geotherm resulted from thinned back-arc lithosphere accompanied by an influx of mantle-derived *** D_(2)deformation resulted from"bottom-driven"tectonics and viscous drag within the crust by convective flow in the underlying asthenospheric *** extended tectonothermal regime ceased at~1110 ma when SW-directed thrusting stacked the Namaqua Domains into their current positions,constrained in

Background:The metabolic syndrome is a consequence of modern lifestyle that causes synaptic insulin resistance and cognitive deficits and that in interaction with a high amyloid load is an important risk factor for Alzheimer’s *** has been proposed that neuroinflammation might be an intervening variable,but the underlying mechanisms are currently ***:We utilized primary neurons to induce synaptic insulin resistance as well as a mouse model of high-risk aging that includes a high amyloid load,neuroinflammation,and diet-induced obesity to test hypotheses on underly-ing ***:We found that neddylation and subsequent activation of cullin-RING ligase complexes induced synaptic insulin resistance through ubiquitylation and degradation of the insulin-receptor substrate IRS1 that organizes synap-tic insulin ***,inhibition of neddylation preserved synaptic insulin signaling and rescued memory deficits in mice with a high amyloid load,which were fed with a’western diet’.Conclusions:Collectively,the data suggest that neddylation and degradation of the insulin-receptor substrate is a nodal point that links high amyloid load,neuroinflammation,and synaptic insulin resistance to cognitive decline and impaired synaptic plasticity in high-risk aging.
