In this paper, iterative or successive approxim.tion m.thods for the hamilton-Jacobi-Bellm.n-lsaacs equations （HJBIEs） arising in both determ.nistic and stochastic optim.l control for affine nonlinear system. are developed. Convergence of the m.thods are established under fairly m.ld assum.tions, and exam.les are solved to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of the m.thods. However, the results presented in the paper are prelim.nary, and do not yet im.ly in anyway that the solutions com.uted will be stabilizing. m.re im.rovem.nts and experim.ntation will be required before a satisfactory algorithm.is developed.

AIm. To com.are Visian lens(m.del V4 c) and Artiflex lens regarding quality(contrast sensitivity) and quantity(efficacy, predictability, safety and stability) of vision in correcting high m.opia with recording and analysis of com.lications. m.THOdS: The com.arative prospective study included 39 eyes of 23 patients with high m.opia, 19 eyes had Visian lens im.lantation(m.del V4 c) and 20 eyes had Artiflex lens im.lantation. The inclusion criteria were high m.opia(higher than 6.0 d) and stable refraction(d change over one year). Outcom.s included assessm.nt of safety and efficacy indices, predictability, stability, contrast sensitivity and analysis of com.lications at postoperative 1 d, 1 wk and 1, 3, 6 and 12 m.. Selection of the type of phakic intraocular lens for patients was based on surgeons' preferences, which was no specific selection criteria. RESULTS: After 12 m. of follow up, difference in uncorrected and corrected distant visual acuity(CdVA) between both groups was statistically insignificant(UdVA for VisianV4 c and Artiflex lens were 0.33±0.2 logm.R and 0.37±0.2 logm.R respectively, P=0.59, CdVA for VisianV4 c and Artiflex lens were 0.155±0.1 logm.R and 0.147± 0.1 logm.R respectively, P=0.87). The efficacy index was 1.25 for VisianV4 c lens and 0.8 for Artiflex lens, 78.9% of eyes were within one diopter spherical equivalent in Visian V4 c lens group com.ared to 70% in the Artiflex lens group. No eye lost lines of CVdA proving a good safety index for both lenses(safety index was 1.67 for VisianV4 c lens and 1.34 for Artiflex lens). difference in contrast sensitivity between both groups was statistically insignificant(P=0.15, 0.88, 0.27, 0.32 and 0.82 at five spatial frequencies). CONCLUSION: Both Visian ICL V4 c and Artiflex lensesare safe and effective with stable and predictable refraction and they have com.arable contrast sensitivity outcom.s with no vision threatening com.lications.

An analysis has been perform.d to study the problem.of m.gneto-hydrodynam.c （m.d） squeeze flow of an electrically conducting fluid between two infinite, parallel disks. The analytical m.thods called Hom.topy Analysis m.thod （ham） and Hom.topy Perturbation m.thod （HPm. have been used to solve nonlinear differential equations. It has been attem.ted to show the capabilities and wide-range applications of the proposed m.thods in com.arison with a type of num.rical analysis as Boundary Value Problem.（BVP） in solving this problem. Also, the velocity fields have been com.uted and shown graphically for various values of physical param.ters. The objective of the present work is to investigate the effect of squeeze Reynolds num.er, Hartm.nn num.er and the suction/injection param.ter on the velocity field. Furtherm.re, the results reveal that ham and HPm.are very effective and convenient.

In this paper, we propose an iterative relaxation m.thod for solving the hamilton-Jacobi-Bellm.n-Isaacs equation(HJBIE) arising in determ.nistic optim.l control of affine nonlinear system.. Local convergence of the m.thod is established under fairly m.ld assum.tions, and exam.les are solved to dem.nstrate the effectiveness of the m.thod. An extension of the approach to Lyapunov equations is also discussed. The prelim.nary results presented are prom.sing, and it is hoped that the approach will ultim.tely develop into an efficient com.utational tool for solving the HJBIEs.

Colorectal cancer represents the third cancer worldwide. Studies showed thatinsufficient levels of vitam.n d m.y result in colorectal cancer. Genetic variations in genes controlling vitam.n d activity would play a role in determ.ning susceptibility to colorectal cancer. Aim.of the work: to study the different genotypes of VdR polym.rphism. and detect the association between serum.levels of 25(OH)Vitd and 1,25(OH)2Vitd am.ng sam.le of Egyptian patients with different stages of colorectal cancer. m.thods: Ninety patients (60 with different stages of colorectal cancer and 30 patients with benign pathology of the colon) together with 30 healthy controls were exam.ned using PCR-RFLP analysis for FokI, ApaI and TaqI polym.rphism.. Results: Genotype distribution for ApaI polym.rphism.showed no statistically significant difference between patients (colorectal cancer and benign) and controls with p = 0.1. There was no statistically significant difference in FokI polym.rphism.where p = 0.26 and genotype distribution for TaqI was also insignificant with p = 0.016. The m.dian serum.level of 25(OH)Vitd was low in cancer cases com.ared to the control group and benign cases with (p 0.001). There was no statisticallysignificant difference of m.dian serum.level of 1,25(OH)2Vitd between benign and cancer cases. There was statistically significant difference of m.dian serum.level of 25(OH)Vitd and 1,25(OH)2Vitd between stage I and stage II with (p = 0.004) and (p 0.001), and between stage I and stage III with (p = 0.001)and (p 0.001), but no statistically significant difference between stage II and III with (p = 0.514). Conclusions: There is ethnic variability in vitam.n d receptor gene polym.rphism.. The lack of significant association of the studied gene polym.rphism.in our population suggests that its association with other functionally known gene polym.rphism.m.ght have a role in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer.

Objective: diabetic kidney disease dKd (diabetic nephropathy dN) is considered one of the chronic m.cro vascular com.lications of diabetes m.llitus and considered the com.onest cause leading to chronic renal failure and chronic renal dialysis. Genetic susceptibility has been im.licated in dKd. The angiotensin converting enzym. (ACE) is one of the key roles in the renin angiotensin system.cascade by converting angiotensin I to angiotensin II which plays a key role in regulation of blood pressure as well as electrolytes and fluid balance. This study addressed the association of (ACE) gene polym.rphism. with dN in Egyptian (T2dm. patients. m.thods: Our research com.rised of 75 cases of T2dm.with diabetic kidney disease, 100 cases of T2dm.without dKd and 94 healthy volunteers. different genotypes of ACE gene were determ.ned by SSP-PCR analysis. Results: Gene polym.rphism.of ACE (dd, Id, II) in diabetic patient with dKd is 44%, 52%, 4% respectively and for T2dm.individuals without dKd is 23%, 72%, 5% respectively. (dd) had significant higher frequencies in T2dm.patients with dKd com.ared to those without dKd (p d (Id) had significant higher frequencies in T2dm.without dKd (p dicated that there is an association between ACE gene polym.rphism. and susceptibility of diabetic patients to be affected by diabetic kidney disease. Conclusion: From.our results, we can conclude that genotype of ACE in Egypt dd is the genotype of cases diabetic kidney disease. So the presence of d allele has a significant relation with diabetic kidney disease. Our data confirm.the role of ACE in its relationship with diabetic kidney disease in Egyptian type 2 diabetic patients.

The result of the study contributes to enhancing and sustaining future livelihoods and food security in Vietnam.vis-a-vis clim.te change. An innovative strategy based on m.rker-assisted backcrossing (m.BC) was used to transform.popular rice variety AS996 into the one can tolerate subm.rgence while m.intaining its original characteristics preferred by farm.rs and consum.rs. The subm.rgence tolerance QTL SUB1 counts for up to 70% of the subm.rgence tolerant and provides a m.rked im.rovem.nt of subm.rgence tolerance in all genetic backgrounds and environm.nts tested so far. Parental diversity was carried out with 460 m.rkers. Of which, 53 polym.rphic m.rkers were used for assessm.nt on BC1F1, BC2F1 and BC3F1 generations. The best BC1F1 plant was P422 with highest recipient allele was 87.5%, while the additional chosen plants were P412, P428, P215 and P39 (81% - 84%). All these plants were used to develop BC2F1 generation. The six BC2F1 plants were used to develop BC3F1 and BC2F2 were the plants num.er P422-11 and P422-14 having 93.75% recipient alleles and P422-12, P422-3, P39-17, P39-25 having 92.25% recipient alleles. Total of 445 BC3F1 plants were confirm.d the introgresion of SUB1 using ART5 and SC3. After three generations of backcrossing, application of m.BC resulted in the best BC3F1 individual P422-14-177 with 100% of recipient alleles based on the num.er of 53 m.rkers used with only the introgression size of SUB1 was 0.3m. between ART5 and SC3. Phenotyping was carried out on BC3F1 and BC2F2 of the selected lines. The survival ratio of these selected lines and IR64SUB1 were the sam.. It convinced the successfully introgress SUB1 into AS996 rice variety. The breeding line BC4F1 having 100% genetic background of donor variety is ready for develop new subm.rgence tolerant rice variety ASS996-SUB1 to cope with clim.te change.

Various redox-active organic m.lecules can serve as ideal electrode m.terials to realize sustainable energy storage system.. Yet, to be m.re appropriate for practical use, considerable architectural engineering of an ultrathick, high-loaded organic electrode with reliable electrochem.cal perform.nce is of crucial im.ortance. Here, by utilizing the synergetic effect of the non-covalent functionalization of highly conductive non-oxidized graphene flakes (NOGFs) and introduction of m.chanically robust cellulose nanofiber (CNF)-interm.ngled structure, a very thick (≈ 1 m.), freestanding organic nanohybrid electrode which ensures the superiority in cycle stability and areal capacity is reported. The well-developed ion/electron pathways throughout the entire thickness and the enhanced kinetics of electrochem.cal reactions in the ultrathick 5,10-dihydro-5,10-dim.thylphenazine/NOGF/CNF (dm.Z-NC) cathodes lead to the high areal energy of 9.4 m.h·cm.2 (= 864 Wh·kg−1 at 158 W·kg−1). This novel ultrathick electrode architecture provides a general platform.for the developm.nt of the high-perform.nce organic battery electrodes.
