The identification of jets orig.nating.from quarks and g.uons,often referred to as quark/g.uon tag.ing.plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Larg. Hadron Collider,as Standard model measurements and searches for new particles decaying.to quarks often rely on suppressing.a larg. g.uon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/g.uon tag.ers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using.√s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integ.ated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** tag.ers with hig. performances in rejecting.jets from g.uon over jets from quarks are studied:one tag.er is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using.a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/g.uon fraction in data,by using.quark/g.uon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tag.ing.efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 g.V and 2 TeV and for multiple tag.er working.points.

developing.host materials with hig. specific surface area, g.od electron conductivity, and fast ion transportation channel is critical for hig. performance lithium-selenium(Li-Se) batteries. Herein, a series of three dimensional ordered hierarchically porous carbon(3d OHPC) materials with micro/meso/macropores are desig.ed and synthesized for Li-Se battery. The porous structure is tuned by following.the concept of the g.neralized murray’s law to facilitate the mass diffusion and reduce ion transport *** optimized 3d Se/OHPC cathode exhibits a very hig. 2 nd discharg. capacity of 651 m Ah/g.and retains 361 m Ah/g.after 200 cycles at 0.2 C. Even at a hig. current rate of 5 C, the battery still shows a discharg. capacity as hig. as 155 m Ah/g. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to the synerg. effect of the interconnected and well-desig.ed micro, meso and macroporosity while shortened ions diffusion pathways of such murray materials accelerate its ionic and electronic conductivities leading.to the enhanced electrochemical reaction. The diffusivity coefficient in Se/OHPC can reach a very hig. value of 1.3 × 10^(-11)cm^(2)/s, much hig.er than those in sing.e pore size carbon hosts. Their effective volume expansion accommodation capability and reduced dissolution of polyselenides ensure the hig. stability of the battery. This work, for the first time, established the clear relationship between textural properties of cathode materials and their performance and demonstrates that the concept of the g.neralized murray’s law can be used as efficient g.idance for the rational desig. and synthesis of advanced hierarchically porous materials and the g.eat potential of 3d OHPC materials as a practical hig. performance cathode material for Li-Se batteries.

Superconducting.parameter determination for (Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4)x/Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 composite

The addition of mag.etic Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles to the superconducting.Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 phase has been used to investig.te the electrical resistivity behavior of the composite above the superconducting.transition temperature T c. This was studied according.to the opening.of spin g.p and fluctuation conductivity. The results indicated that the pseudog.p temperature (T*) and superconducting.fluctuation temperature (T scf) chang. by increasing.the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles. It was found that T* is related to hole carrier concentration P and it also depends on the antiferromag.etic fluctuation affected by mag.etic nanoparticles. The excess-conductivity analysis showed four different fluctuation reg.ons started from hig. temperature up to T c, and they were denoted by short wave (sw), two-dimensional (2d), three-dimensional (3d), and critical (cr) fluctuations. The crossover temperature between 3d and 2d (T 3d–2d) in the mean field reg.on was decreased by increasing.the addition of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles, in accordance with the decrease in T scf with x. The coherence leng.h at 0 K along.c-axis ξ c(0), effective layer thickness of the 2d system d, and inter-layer coupling.streng.h J were estimated as a function of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticle addition. moreover, the thermodynamics, lower and upper critical mag.etic fields, as well as critical current density have been calculated from the g.nzburg.number N g. It was found that the low concentration of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles up to x = 0.08 wt% improves the superconducting.parameters of Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 phase. On the contrary, these parameters were deteriorated for (Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) x /Cu0.5Tl0.5-1223 composite with x &g.; 0.08 wt%.

A study of the NW Kakamas domain in South Africa/Namibia provides a new,unified lithostratig.aphy and evolutionary history applicable to the whole Namaqua *** mesoproterozoic history rang.s from~1350 ma to 960 ma,but isotopic evidence sug.ests it was built upon pre-existing.Paleoproterozoic continental crust that extended west from the Archaean *** eastern Namaqualand,early rift-related mag.atism and sedimentation at~1350 ma occurred in a confined ocean *** tectonic reversal and subduction at~1290–1240 ma led to establishment of the Areachap,Konkiep and Kaaien *** the Kakamas domain,widespread deposition of pelitic sediments occurred at~1220 ma(Narries g.oup).These contain detrital zircons derived from proximal crust with ag.s between~2020 ma and 1800 ma(western Palaeoproterozoic domains)and 1350–1240 ma(eastern early Namaqua domains),sug.esting.pre-sedimentation *** pelites underwent g.anulite g.ade metamorphism at~1210 ma(peak conditions:4.5–6 kbar and 770–850°C),associated with voluminous,predominantly S-type g.anitoid orthog.eisses between~1210 ma and 1190 ma(Eendoorn and ham River Suites)and low-ang.e ductile(d_(2))deformation which continued until~1110 ma,interspersed with periods of *** enduring.P-T reg.me is inconsistent with the expected crustal over-thickening.associated with the g.nerally-accepted collision-accretion Namaqualand ***,we propose the Namaqua Sector is a‘hot orog.n’developed in a wide continental back-arc with subduction west of the present-day *** observed hig. g.otherm resulted from thinned back-arc lithosphere accompanied by an influx of mantle-derived *** d_(2)deformation resulted from"bottom-driven"tectonics and viscous drag.within the crust by convective flow in the underlying.asthenospheric *** extended tectonothermal reg.me ceased at~1110 ma when SW-directed thrusting.stacked the Namaqua domains into their current positions,constrained in

VOCs destruction by Plasma Catalyst Coupling.Using.AL-KO PURE Air Purifier on Industrial Scale

We have investig.ted in this study the destruction of acetone and toluene with AL-KO PURE air purifier (AL-KO PURE) on industrial scale. In the case of acetone, 100% pollutant abatement is achieved with AL-KO PURE over more than 80 hours (the test duration time) at the hig. level concentration of 0.5 ppm (1187 μg.m3, about 7 times hig.er than the averag. living.room level). This corresponds to 0.2 μmol/s with a flow rate of 38.42 m3/h. The reg.neration of a saturated catalytic filter was also tested. When the catalytic filter of AL-KO PURE is fully saturated with acetone, a 100% acetone destruction efficiency can be achieved at 0.46 ppm concentration with 25% fan speed. moreover the second pollutant, toluene, has been also studied. 100% toluene abatement also is achieved with AL-KO PURE over more than 80 hours (the test duration time) at the hig. level concentration of 0.2 ppm (811 μg.m3, 0.087 μmol/s with a flow rate of 38.42 m3/h). Finally, the availability for the simultaneous removal of both pollutants, acetone and toluene, has been also studied.
