BACKGROUNd Ureteropelvic junction obstruction(UPJO)is a common congenital urinary tract disorder in *** can be diagnosed as early as in utero due to the presence of hydronephrosis or later in life due to symptomatic *** To evaluate the discrepancy between dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance urography(dmRU)and scintigraphy 99m-technetium mercaptoacetyltriglycine(mAG-3)for the functional evaluation of *** Between 2016 and 2020,126 patients with UPJO underwent surgery at Robert debré*** these,83 received a prenatal diagnosis,and 43 were diagnosed during *** of the 126 patients underwent surgery based on the clinical situation and postnatal ultrasound findings without undergoing functional imaging *** renal function was evaluated preoperatively using scintigraphy mAG-3(n=28),dmRU(n=53),or both(n=40).In this study,we included patients who underwent surgery for UPJO and scintigraphy mAG-3+dmRU but excluded those who underwent only scintigraphy mAG-3 or *** patients were divided into groups A(discrepancy)and B(>10%discrepancy).We examined the discrepancy in split renal function between the two modalities and investigated the possible risk *** The split renal function between the two kidneys was compared in 40 patients(28 boys and 12 girls)using scintigraphy mAG-3 and *** renal function,as determined using both modalities,showed a difference ofdren and>10%in 9 *** of the relative renal function using dmRU revealed an excellent correlation coefficient with renal scintigraphy mAG-3 for both *** Our findings demonstrated that dmRU is equivalent to scintigraphy mAG-3 for evaluating split renal function in patients with UPJO.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

The burning of agricultural waste is a major cause of environmental *** this study,we sought to prepare biochar from agricultural waste as a source material for the preparation of carbon nanoparticles(CNPs).Surface morphology,hydrodynamic particle size,and purity and crystallinity of CNPs were extensively investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEm),zeta sizing,and X-ray diffraction(XRd)spectroscopy,*** CNPs were subsequently immersed in a solution of potassium nitrate(KNO_(3))to prepare a CNPs/NK nanocomposite(CNPs loaded with nitrogen(N)and potassium(K))as a nanocomposite fertilizer for common bean(Phaseolus vulgaris L.).The CNPs/NK nanocomposite was sprayed as a foliar fertilizer at 0,10,20,30,and 40 mg L^(-1) on common bean plants 25 d after sowing on a farm in Shebin el-Kom,el-monifia,*** growth,yield,and quality of common bean were investigated during two successive growing seasons(2017 and 2018).The highest seed yields of 2.04 and 2.01 t ha^(-1) and the highest values of growth parameters including plant height of 61.5 and 59.2 cm,number of leaves per plant of 35 and 35,number of flowers per plant of 83.3 and 82.7,and plant fresh weight of 148.7 and 152.8 g plant^(-1) were obtained when using the CNPs/NK nanocomposite at a concentration of 20 mg L^(-1) during the 2017 and 2018 growing seasons,respectively.

Five Year Follow up after Surgical Treatment of Type 2 diabetes with Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy Associated with a duodenal Ileal Interposition

Introduction: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2d) is a chronic disease, primarily caused by a combination of defective insulin secretion and the inability of insulin-sensitive tissues to respond to insulin. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy associated with duodenal ileal interposition (SGdII) has been shown to be a feasible treatment option for patients with T2d, as it provides improvement and control of glycemia, dyslipidemia and arterial hypertension. The aim of this study was to evaluate the mid and long-term results of SGdII for the treatment of diabetic patients, considering diabetic remission, weight loss and postoperative complications. materials and methods: Retrospective study with 96 patients with T2d submitted to SGdII, between 2010 and 2016. The glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) value Results: Sixty-one patients (62.8%) were male, and 36 patients (37.2%) were female. The average age was 50.9 years. median BmI was 33.43 kg/m2. The incidence of major postoperative complications in the first 30 days was 2.1%, with no mortality. dyslipidemia control was sustained, after five years, in 62% of the patients. The five years follow-up demonstrated that 80% of patients had T2d remission at one year, 74.5% at three years and 61.8% at five years. Univariate analysis demonstrated that preoperative values of HbA1c and BmI, preoperative use of insulin, gender, and 30-day complication were not predictors of remission at all study intervals. The average duration of the disease was nine years and the mean glycated hemoglobin before surgery was 8.95%. Conclusion: SGdII resulted in good glycemic control at 5-years follow-up and represents a valid alternative for the treatment of T2d.

Efficacy evaluation of the protein isolated from Peganum harmala seeds as an antioxidant in liver of rats

Objective:To evaluate the curative effect of the 132 Kd protein isolated from the seeds of Peganum harmala（***） L against carbon tetrachloride（CCl4） induced oxidative stress in ***:Animals were post treated intraperitoneally with 132 KO isolated protein at doses of 4 and 8 mg/kg body weight and bovine serum albumin（BSA）（8 mg/kg body weight） as well as vitamin C（250 mg/kg body weight p.o.） for 7 d after they challenged with CCl4 orally（1 ml/Ag body weight） in olive oil（50%） for 2 ***:The purified protein from seeds of *** plant showed in vitro antioxidant activity with dPPH *** of CCl4 induced induction in serum aminotransferases（AST,ALT）,alkaline phosphatase（ALP）,lipid profile parameters and liver malondialdehyde（mdA） and decrease in serum total protein,liver superoxide dismutase （SOd）,catalase（CAT）,and reduced glutathione（GSH） levels.132 Kd protein treatment of rats post CCl4 intoxication successfully alleviated the toxic effects of CCl4.Conclusions:The isolated protein possessed strong antioxidant activity comparable to that of BSA（negative control） and vitamin C（positive control）.

This work investigated the influence of silver plasmon and reduced graphene oxide(r GO)on the photoelectrochemical performance(PEC)of Zn O thin films synthesized by the sol-gel *** physicochemical properties of the obtained photo-anodes were systematically studied by using several characterization *** x-ray diffraction analysis showed that all samples presented hexagonal wurtzite structure with a polycrystalline *** and energy dispersive x-ray(EdX)studies confirmed the existence of both Ag and r GO in Zn O:Ag/r GO thin *** estimated grain size obtained from scanning electron microscopy(SEm)analysis decreased with Ag doping,then increased to a maximum value after r GO *** UV-vis transmission spectra of the as-prepared Zn O:Ag and Zn O:Ag/r GO thin films have shown a reduction in the visible range with a redshift at the absorption *** bandgaps were estimated to be around 3.17 e V,2.7 e V,and 2.52 e V for Zn O,Zn O:Ag,and Zn O:Ag/r GO,***,the electrical measurements revealed that the charge exchange processes were enhanced at the Zn O:Ag/r GO/electrolyte interface,accompanied by an increase in the(PEC)performance compared to Zn O and Zn O:Ag ***,the photocurrent density of Zn O:Ag/r GO(0.2 m A·cm^(-2)) was around 4 and 2.22 times higher than photo-anodes based on undoped Zn O(0.05 m A·cm^(-2)) and Zn O:Ag(0.09 m A·cm^(-2)),***,from the flat band potential and donor density,deduced from the mott-Schottky,it was clear that all the samples were n-type semiconductors with the highest carrier density for the Zn O:Ag/r GO photo-anode.

This paper describes in detail the interaction between waves, tides and storm surges and covers theeffects of wave on tides and storm surges and the influence of tides plus storm surges on waves. Some pro-blems deserving attention and improvements are put forward. And finally a combined wave-tide-surge numerical model YE-JWTSm is presented,with all relevant interaction processes considered, includ-ing wave-dependent surface wind stress and bottom-stress as well as current-induced refrac-tion and frequency shift.

Web service(WS)presents a good solution to the interoperability of different types of systems that aims to reduce the overhead of high processing in a resource-limited *** the increasing demand for mobile WS(mWS),the WS discovery process has become a significant challenging point in the WS lifecycle that aims to identify the relevant mWSs that best match the service *** discovery process is a resource-consuming task that cannot be performed efficiently in a mobile computing environment due to the limitations of mobile ***,a cloud computing can provide rich computing resources for mobile environments given its unlimited and easily scalable *** paper proposes a semantic WS discovery and invocation framework in mobile environments based on cloud and a relationship-aware matchmaking *** discovery algorithm enriches mWS and user requests semantically with the functional and non-functional properties of Ontology Web Language for Services,such as Quality of Web Service,device context,and user *** WS repository is filtered based on logical reasoning and a parameter-based matching algorithm to minimize the matching space and improve runtime *** cosine similarity between the user request and services repository is then assessed to generate the most relevant *** relationships among concepts in the ontology are considered to improve the recall and precision *** the WS discovery process,users can invoke and test these services in a mobile environment through a dynamic user *** interface of the invocation process is changed according to the WS description *** application prototype is also developed to evaluate the framework based on a Cordova cross-mobile development framework.

Since Type 1 diabetes(T1dm)occurs whenβ-cells mass is reduced to less than 20%of the normal level due to autoimmune destruction of cells resulting in the inability to secrete insulin,preservation or replenishment of the functionalβ-cells mass has become a major therapeutic focus for this diabetic type ***,this 4-week work plan was designed to determine which mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs)type is more appropriate to alleviate pancreatic hazards resulting from diabetes induction;via tracking a comparative study between mSCs derived from adipose tissue(Ad-mSCs)and from bone marrow(Bm-mSCs)in management of T1dm considering their immunomodulatory,anti-apoptotic and antioxidative *** were divided randomly into 4 groups;control,STZdiabetic(d),d+Ad-mSCs,and d+Bm-mSCs *** stem cells types in this study were ***,both oxidative stress and antioxidant markers were evaluated using colorimetric analysis,while inflammatory,immune and apoptotic markers were assessed through flow cytometric *** showed that diabetic rats treated with either Ad-mSCs or Bm-mSCs exhibited marked pancreatic antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities that were able to initiate pancreatic immunomodulation and reducingβ-cells apoptotic death,thus,help to restore their normal insulin secretion and hypoglycemic ***,Ad-mSCs injection was shown to be superior as a pancreatic regenerative tool in overcoming diabetes;owing to their marked antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,immunomodulatory,and anti-apoptotic characteristics over Bm-mSCs treatment.
