Recently,ground-penetrating radar(GPR)has been extended as a well-known area to investigate the subsurface ***,its output has a low resolution,and it needs more processing for more *** paper presents two algorithms for landmine detection from GPR *** first algorithm depends on a multi-scale technique.A Gaussian kernel with a particular scale is convolved with the image,and after that,two gradients are estimated;horizontal and vertical ***,histogram and cumulative histogram are estimated for the overall gradient *** bin values on the cumulative histogram are used for discrimination between images with and without ***,a neural classifier is used to classify images with cumulative histograms as feature *** second algorithm is based on scale-space analysis with the number of speeded-up robust feature(sURF)points as the key parameter for *** addition,this paper presents a framework for size reduction of GPR images based on decimation for efficient *** further classification steps can be performed on images after *** sensitivity of classification accuracy to the interpolation process is studied in detail.

Effects of rotation and magnetic field on the nonlinear peristaltic flow of a second-order fluid in an asymmetric channel through a porous medium

in this paper, the effects of both rotation and magnetic field of the peristaltic transport of a second-order fluid through a porous medium in a channel are studied analytically and computed numerically. The material is represented by the constitutive equations for a second-order fluid. Closed-form solutions under the consideration of long wavelength and low Reynolds number is presented. The analytical expressions for the pressure gradient, pressure rise, friction force, stream function, shear stress, and velocity are obtained in the physical domain. The effects of the non-dimensional wave amplitude, porosity, magnetic field, rotation, and the dimensionless time-mean flow in the wave frame are analyzed theoretically and computed numerically. Numerical results are given and illustrated graphically in each case considered. Comparison was made with the results obtained in the presence and absence of rotation, magnetic field, and porosity. The results indicate that the effects of the non-dimensional wave amplitude, porosity, magnetic field, rotation, and the dimensionless time-mean flow are very pronounced in the phenomena.

simulation of a molten salt fast reactor using the COmsOL multiphysics software

in this study,COmsOL v5.2 multiphysics software was utilized to perform coupled neutronics and thermal–hydraulics simulations of a molten salt fast reactor,and the sCALE v6.1 code package was utilized to generate the homogenized cross-section data *** library’s 238 cross-section groups were categorized into nine groups for the simulations in this *** results of the COmsOL model under no fuel flow conditions were verified using the sCALE v6.1 code results,and the results of the neutronics and thermal–hydraulics simulations were compared to the results of previously published *** results indicated that the COmsOL model that includes the cross-section library generated by the sCALE v6.1 code package is suitable for the steady-state analysis and design assessment of molten salt fast ***,this model was utilized to investigate the neutronics and thermal–hydraulics behaviors of the *** designs were simulated and analyzed in this model,and the results indicated that even if the wall of the core is curved,hot spots occur in the upper and lower portions of the core’s center near the reflectors.A new design was proposed that utilizes a flow rate distribution system,and the simulation results of this design showed that the maximum temperature in the core was approximately 1032 K and no hot spots occurred.

Utilizing auxin dwarf genes to optimize seed yield and lodging resistance in rapeseed

direct-seeding rapeseed production at high plant density raises the risk of *** investigated the use of dwarf genes to improve rapeseed plant architecture to balance yield and *** genotypes with different plant architectures(dwarf sca^(Hs5),semi-dwarf+/sca^(Hs5),and tall ^(Hs5))were evaluated under varying nitrogen rates(N1,N2,and N3:120,240,and 360 kg N ha^(-1))and plant densities(d1,d2,and d3:15,45,and 75 plants m^(-2))from 2019 to *** results showed that increasing N rate positively influenced yield while decreasing lodging resistance in all *** plant density(d2-d3)enhanced lodging resistance and yield in sca^(Hs5) and+/sca^(Hs5),but reduced yield in ^(Hs5).Compared to the two parents,+/sca^(Hs5) exhibited moderate expressions of iAA3,GH3.15,and sAUR30 in stems under N2d3,resulting in reduced plant height and increased ***,+/sca^(Hs5) had a thicker silique layer than ^(Hs5) by 14.7%,and it had a significant correlation between branch height/angle and *** N rate led to increased lignin and pectin contents,while cellulose content *** plant density resulted in greater stem cellulose content and CsLA3/7 expression in sca^(Hs5) and+/sca^(Hs5),but decreased in ^(Hs5).Compared to ^(Hs5),+/sca^(Hs5) exhibited higher expressions of ARAd1 and GAUT4,along with a 51.1%increase in pectin content,leading to improved lodging resistance under ***,+/sca^(Hs5) showed a 46.4%higher yield and 38.9%lodging resistance than ^(Hs5) under N2d3,while sca^(Hs5) demonstrated strong lodging resistance but lower yield ***,this study underscores the potential of utilizing auxin dwarf genes to optimize the trade-off between yield and lodging resistance in rapeseed and the possibility of maximizing yield potential by optimizing the plant architecture of+/sca^(Hs5) through nitrogen reduction and dense planting.

synthesis,antimicrobial, antiquorum-sensing and cytotoxic activities of new series of benzothiazole derivatives

New series of benzothiazole derivatives were designed and synthesized. The newly synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. Compounds 6j and 6o showed the highest activity against E. coli and s. aureus. The antifungal activity of these compounds was also tested against Candida albicans and Aspergillus fumigatus293. Compounds 4c, 4g and 6j exhibited the highest activity against C. albicans. in addition, compounds4 a and 6j displayed promising activity against A. fumigatus 293. The same compounds were examined for their antiquorum-sensing activity against Chromobacterium violaceum ATCC 12472, whereas compounds4 a, 6j and 6p showed moderate activity. The in vitro cytotoxicity testing of the synthesized compounds was performed against cervical cancer（Hela） and kidney fibroblast cancer（COs-7） cell lines. Results indicated that all tested compounds have iC50 values 〉50 mmol/L against both cell lines. molecular properties, toxicities, drug-likeness, and drug score profiles of compounds 4a–c, 5a, 6g,h, 6j, 6l, 6o and7 c,d were also assessed.

Numerical simulation for symmetric diffraction patterns of 8-hydroxyquinolin-1-ium 4-aminobenzenesulfonate

We reported the formation of diffraction ring patterns induced by transmitted Gaussian laser beam through 8-hydroxyquinolin-1-ium 4-aminobenzenesulfonate(8 HQABs) solution as absorbing medium. Theoretical model depending on the Fresnel-Kirchhoff diffraction(FKd) theory was used to generate diffraction rings with respect to the sample position. Analysis of the generated diffraction rings shows a reasonable agreement between the features of the experimental and numerical diffraction rings. Our results are considered to be useful to understand the way of propagation and interaction of laser beam with liquid absorbing medium.

Characterization and separation of pyrite from Abu Tartur black shale

This work aimed for pyrite separation from Abu Tartur black shale as a source of sulfur to be an added economic value of Abu Tartur area. The considered samples in the present work were collected from a core drilled in Abu Tartur plateau representing the pyrite-rich black shale of the U. Cretaceous age, sample characterization was carried out using petrographic microscope, XRd, dTA/dTG, C/s and XRF techniques. Clay minerals, silt-sized quartz, calcite, and hematite were the main minerals associating pyr- ite （5.34g）. Liberation behavior of the sample was about 80% below 5 μm. sample processing was achieved through one-day soaking followed by classification using i inch mozley hydro-cyclone where about 35.5% by weight went to underflow and 64.5% went to overflow. The underflow product was subjected to an advanced gravity separation process using sB-40 Falcon Concentrator through a CCd statistical design prepared by design-Expert 6.0 software proposed to opti- mize the separation process through a study for the effects of frequency （Hz） and water pressure （Psi） on both assay and recovery of the sulfur-rich heavy fraction. A heavy concentrate weighed 10.90% with inorganic sulfur content reached 11.37% （21.24% pyrite） with overall recovery （50.01%） was obtained after two cleaning at the optimum conditions.

Using BlazePose on spatial Temporal Graph Convolutional Networks for Action Recognition

The ever-growing available visual data(i.e.,uploaded videos and pictures by internet users)has attracted the research community’s attention in the computer vision ***,finding efficient solutions to extract knowledge from these sources is ***,the BlazePose system has been released for skeleton extraction from images oriented to mobile *** this skeleton graph representation in place,a spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional Network can be implemented to predict the *** hypothesize that just by changing the skeleton input data for a different set of joints that offers more information about the action of interest,it is possible to increase the performance of the spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional Network for HAR ***,in this study,we present the first implementation of the BlazePose skeleton topology upon this architecture for action ***,we propose the Enhanced-BlazePose topology that can achieve better results than its ***,we propose different skeleton detection thresholds that can improve the accuracy performance even *** reached a top-1 accuracy performance of 40.1%on the Kinetics *** the NTU-RGB+d dataset,we achieved 87.59%and 92.1%accuracy for Cross-subject and Cross-View evaluation criteria,respectively.

Celecoxib-induced cholestatic liver failure requiring orthotopic liver transplantation

selective cyclooxygenase-2 （COX-2） inhibitors are widely used due to their efficacy and good safety profile. However, recent case reports have described varying degrees of liver injudes associated with the use of COX-2 inhibitors. We report the case of a patient who developed acute cholestatic hepatitis progressing to hepatic failure requiring liver transplantation, following a 3-d course of celecoxib for treatment of generalized muscle aches and pains. The clinical presentation, the laboratory data, as well as the liver histopathology were supportive of the putative diagnosis of drug induced liver injury.
