Ion population fraction（IPF） calculations are very important to understand the radiative spectrum emitted from the hot dense matter. IPF calculations require detailed knowledge of all the ions and correlation interactions between the electrons of an ion which are present in a plasma environment. The average atom models, e.g., screened hydrogenic model with l-splitting（SHmL）, now have the capabilities for such calculations and are becoming more popular for in line plasma calculations. In our previous work [Ali A, Shabbir Naz G, shahzad m S, Kouser R, Rehman A and Nasim m H 2018 High Energy Density Phys. 26 48], we have improved the continuum lowering model and included the exchange and correlation effects in SHmL. This study presents the calculation of IPF using classical theory of fluctuation for our improved screened hydrogenic model with l-splitting（I-SHmL） under local thermodynamic equilibrium conditions for iron and aluminum plasma over a wide range of densities and temperatures. We have compared our results with other models and have found a very good agreement among them.

Facile and fast combustion method was used to synthesize Zn O and Ce-doped Zn O（CZO） nanocrystalline powders photocatalysts with different cerium concentrations（0.5 wt.%–10.0 wt.%） followed by calcination at 700 oC for 3 h. The prepared samples were characterized by a variety of characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEm） combined with energy dispersive X-ray diffraction（EDX）, transmission electron microscopy（TEm）, UV-visible spectroscopy, BET surface area analyser and photoluminescence spectroscopy（PL）, to study the crystal structure, surface morphology, chemical composition and optical properties. It was observed from XRD results that synthesized powders had hexagonal wurtzite structure with the smallest crystallite size about 13 nm. Absorption spectra showed that cerium doping enhanced the light absorption properties towards the visible light region. Photoluminescence spectra for Ce-doped Zn O samples exhibited relatively weak near band edge（NBE） emission peaks as compared to that of pristine Zn O. The photocatalytic activities of the prepared samples were evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B（Rh B） under UV light and visible light（λ≥420 nm） irradiation. The textile mill effluent containing organic matters was also treated under sunlight using photocatalysis and the reduction in the chemical oxygen demand（COD） of the treated effluent revealed a complete destruction of the organic molecules along with colour removal. The results showed that the CZO photocatalyst doped with 3.0 wt.% cerium exhibited four times enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to pure Zn O. The enhanced photocatalytic activity could be attributed to extended visible light absorption and inhibition of the electron-hole pair＇s recombination.

In recent years,research on facial expression recognition(FER)under mask is *** a mask for protection from Covid 19 has become a compulsion and it hides the facial expressions that is why FER under the mask is a difﬁcult *** prevailing unimodal techniques for facial recognition are not up to the mark in terms of good results for the masked face,however,a multi-modal technique can be employed to generate better *** proposed a multi-modal methodology based on deep learning for facial recognition under a masked face using facial and vocal *** multimodal has been trained on a facial and vocal *** have used two standard datasets,m-LFW for the masked dataset and CREmA-D and TESS dataset for vocal *** vocal expressions are in the form of audio while the faces data is in image form that is why the data is *** order to make the data homogeneous,the voice data is converted into images by taking spectrogram.A spectrogram embeds important features of the voice and it converts the audio format into the ***,the dataset is passed to the multimodal for *** network and the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed multimodal algorithm outsets unimodal methods and other state-of-the-art deep neural network models.

We investigate the cross section of the heavy ion reaction （14.5 meV/u） ^132Xe ＋ Bi by using a CR-39 plastic track detector. The target-detector assembly is exposed at UNILAC beam facility of GSI, Germany. After etching under appropriate etching conditions, the detector is scanned for multipronged events produced as a result of interactions of projectile ions with target atoms. The elastic events are separated from binary events and used for the determination of the quarter-point angle. The quarter-point angle obtained is used to determine the total reaction cross section. The total experimental reaction cross section is determined by using statistics of inelastic events of two-pronged and higher multiplicity events. The experimental reaction cross sections determined by using elastic and inelastic data observed in the reaction under study are found to be in good agreement with the theoretically calculated value of reaction cross section using a sharp cutoff model.

The carburizing of titanium （Ti） is accomplished by utilizing energetic ion pulses of a 1.5 kJ mather type dense plasma focus （DPF） device operated in methane discharge. X-ray diffraction （XRD） analysis confirms the deposition of polycrystalline titanium carbide （TIC）. The samples carburized at lower axial and angular positions show an improved texture for a typical （200）TIC plane. The Williamson-Hall method is employed to estimate average crystallite size and microstrains in the carburized Ti surface. Crystallite size is found to vary from - 50 to 100 nm, depending on the deposition parameters. microstrains vary with the sample position and hence ion flux, and are converted from tensile to compressive by increasing the flux. The carburizing of Ti is confirmed by two major doublets extending from 300 to 390 cm^-1 and from 560 to 620 cm^-1 corresponding to acoustic and optical active modes in Raman spectra, respectively. Analyses by scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy （SEm/EDS） have provided qualitative and quantitative profiles of the carburized surface. The Vickers microhardness of Ti is significantly improved after carburizing.

many researches from both theoretical and experimental perspectives have been performed to search for a new Higgs Boson that is lighter than the 125 GeV Higgs boson,which was discovered at the LHC in *** this study,we explore the possibility of constraining a lighter neutral custodial fiveplet scalar H_(5)^(0) in the Georgimachacek(Gm) model using the latest results of the search for a lighter Higgs boson decaying into two photons from LHC *** custodial-singlet mass eigenstate h or H is considered to be the LHC observed 125 GeV Higgs boson.A new set of constrained parameters that is favoured by low-mass H_(5)^(0) is proposed to generate events *** production of H_(5)^(0) from a scan based on the constrained parameters is compared to the latest results of the search for a lighter Higgs boson decaying into two photons by the CmS Collaboration after applying theoretical constraints from the Gm model and constraints from all existing relevant experimental measurements,including the recent results of the Higgs boson searches by the *** analyses of the surviving Gm parameter space are *** tendencies and correlations of the Gm input parameters from phenomenological studies are *** addition,the discovery potential of the other interesting decay channels of this low-mass neutral custodial fiveplet scalar are discussed.

mucoadhesion can be defined as a state in which two components, of which one is of biological origin, are held together for extended periods of time by the help of interfacial forces. Among the various transmucosal routes, buccal mucosa has excellent accessibility and relatively immobile mucosa, hence suitable for administration of retentive dosage form. The objective of this paper is to review the works done so far in the field of mucoadhe- sire buccal drug delivery systems （mBDDS）, with a clinical perspective. Starting with a brief introduction of the mucoadhesive drug delivery systems, oral mucosa, and the theories of mucoadhesion, this article then proceeds to cover the works done so far in the field of mBDDS, categorizing them on the basis of ailments they are meant to cure. additionally, we focus on the various patents, recent advancements, and challenges as well as the future prospects for mucoadhesive buccal drug delivery systems.

Cognitive Radio Networks(CRNs)have become a successful platform in recent years for a diverse range of future systems,in particularly,industrial internet of things(IIoT)*** order to provide an efficient connection among IIoT devices,CRNs enhance spectrum utilization by using licensed ***,the routing protocol in these networks is considered one of the main problems due to node mobility and time-variant channel ***,the channel selection for routing protocol is indispensable in CRNs to provide an adequate adaptation to the Primary User(PU)activity and create a robust routing *** study aims to construct a robust routing path by minimizing PU interference and routing delay to maximize throughput within the IIoT ***,a generic routing framework from a cross-layer perspective is investigated that intends to share the information resources by exploiting a recently proposed method,namely,Channel Availability ***,a novel cross-layer-oriented routing protocol is proposed by using a time-variant channel estimation *** protocol combines lower layer(Physical layer and Data Link layer)sensing that is derived from the channel estimation ***,it periodically updates and stores the routing table for optimal route ***,in order to achieve higher throughput and lower delay,a new routing metric is *** evaluate the performance of the proposed protocol,network simulations have been conducted and also compared to the widely used routing protocols,as a *** simulation results of different routing scenarios demonstrate that our proposed solution outperforms the existing protocols in terms of the standard network performance metrics involving packet delivery ratio(with an improved margin of around 5–20%approximately)under varying numbers of PUs and cognitive users in mobile Cognitive Radio Networks(mCRNs).moreover,the cross-layer routing protocol successfully achiev
