Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(mDA),glutathione(GSh),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pmerase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Protectivity of Freeze Dried Inactivated Rift Valley Fever Vaccine

Background: Vaccinations for animals are crucial for food production, animal welfare, public health, and animal health. They are an affordable way to stop animal sickness, increase food production efficiency, and lessen or stop the spread of zoonotic diseases to humans. Animal vaccines that are both safe and efficacious are vital to modern culture. The vaccine should induce a strong, protective and prolonged immune response against the antigenic factor. In order to achieve these goals, novel vaccination techniques and an efficient adjuvant are required to render the vaccine immunogenically protective and trigger a strong immune response. Aim: Our study aims to promote and enhance the immunogenicity against RVF virus disease through lyophilized inactivated RVF vaccine through induction of early cellular, high and prolonged humeral immunity in vaccinated animals using cabopol as stabilizer and Saponin or normal saline as a diluent at time of vaccination. moreover, manufacturing of these vaccines is easy to be done. Results: The gained results revealed that RVF freeze-dried vaccine with Carbopol that reconstituted using Saponin elicited better immune response than that reconstituted using normal saline (NaCl). The cell mediated immune response as represented by lymphocyte blastogenesis and phagocytic activity were markedly increased with high levels when we used Saponin as a diluent than that in group vaccinated with vaccine diluted with NaCl, on the other side the humeral immune response in group vaccinated using the Saponin as diluent is more detected and stayed within the protective level till the end of 11th month post vaccination (1.5 TCID50) while the immune response induced after using normal saline as a diluent stayed within the protective level till the end of 10th month post vaccination (1.8 TCID50). Conclusion: The use of Saponin as a diluent for reconstitution of the freeze dried RVF vaccine is preferable than the

Using high-resolution transmission Kikuchi diffraction(TKD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEm),we examined the hierarchical clusters that form in situ in the heat-affected zone(hAZ),which are com-monly referred to as“ghost”structures,of bimodal titanium alloy Ti-5Al-2Sn-2Zr-4mo-4Cr(wt%,TC17).The ghost structures are enriched with Al elements but poor in mo and Cr compared to the surroundingβ*** results show that the ghost structure in middle-hAZ mainly consists ofα_(L)laths with a high-angle grain boundary,which exhibits the classic Burgers orientation relationship(BOR)with the host matrix,while it encircles theα_(P)grains in *** the ghost structure is evidenced to form via in-complete martensitic *** results further confirm that the ghost structure is composed ofαL and tinyβ_(L)laths with BOR,with the former being enriched with Al and poor with Cr and mo,while the latter is the ***,twoα_(L)variant clusters with a check-mark morphology are fre-quently observed viewed along[0001]_(αL)//[110]_(βL)directions,which are dominated by the crystallographic and geometrical relationships betweenαandβ*** on the microstructural characterization,it is hypothesized that the ghost structure is transformed from the initialα_(P)phase,due to the coupling ef-fect of high thermal stress(which induces the formation of a large number of dislocations)and element diffusion caused by sudden temperature increase and plunge cooling in the hAZ during the welding pro-cess.

mg-based amorphous alloys are one of the potential hydrogen storage materials but suffer from sluggish dehydrogenation/hydrogenation(de/hydrogenation)*** this work,as a new strategy,a hydrogen pump is built on the surface of amorphous alloys to solve this *** milling crystalline YFe_(2-x)Al_(x) hydrogen storage alloy with mg_(60)La_(10)Ni_(20)Cu_(10) amorphous alloy,fine crystalline particles were seeded on amorphous alloy powder to form a“strawberry”*** to the TEm observation,a metallurgical bonding boundary formed between the mg-based amorphous matrix and the Y-Fe-Al crystalline *** microstructure and de/hydrogenation kinetics investigation,the“hydrogen pump”effect of the seeded crystalline alloy was confirmed,which makes it much easier for the hydrogen to dissociate on and diffuse through the surface of the mg-based amorphous *** such effect,the h absorption rate of mg_(60)La_(10)Ni_(20)Cu_(10) amorphous alloy became almost eight times faster and it absorbs ~2.8 wt.% in 1 h at 130℃ under 4.5 mPa-h_(2).Further,fast hydrogenation can even achieve at 70℃ and the low-temperature dehydrogenation kinetics of the amorphous hydride can be also greatly *** present work proves that surface modification is of great importance for obtaining mg-based amorphous alloy with ideal hydrogen storage performance.

half-metallic ferromagnetism,mechanical as well as thermoelectric properties for rare earth-based spinels mgho_(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional theory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with Perdew-Burke-Ehrenzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate the lattice constant of both spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy show that our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in the cubic *** ferromagnetic(Fm)state stability,we also calculated the energy differences among Fm,antiferromagnetic(AFm),and non-magnetic(Nm)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic phases were also *** used Trans-Blaha improved BeckeJohnson(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic characteristics,which lead to the consistent explanation of half-metallic ferromagnetism,representing the whole band-occupancy in material with exact detail of density of states(DOS).The stable Fm state was examined in spinels due to the exchange splitting of ho cation consisting of p-d hybridizations compatible with the result achieved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sharing charge on studied *** addition,the calculated thermoelectric properties clearly show that operation range of these systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying the potential applications of these systems.

Improving Generalization for hyperspectral Image Classification: The Impact of Disjoint Sampling on Deep models

Disjoint sampling is critical for rigorous and unbiased evaluation of state-of-the-art (SOTA) models e.g., Attention Graph and Vision Transformer. When training, validation, and test sets overlap or share data, it introduces a bias that inflates performance metrics and prevents accurate assessment of a model’s true ability to generalize to new examples. This paper presents an innovative disjoint sampling approach for training SOTA models for the hyperspectral Image Classification (hSIC). By separating training, validation, and test data without overlap, the proposed method facilitates a fairer evaluation of how well a model can classify pixels it was not exposed to during training or validation. Experiments demonstrate the approach significantly improves a model’s generalization compared to alternatives that include training and validation data in test data (A trivial approach involves testing the model on the entire hyperspectral dataset to generate the ground truth maps. This approach produces higher accuracy but ultimately results in low generalization performance). Disjoint sampling eliminates data leakage between sets and provides reliable metrics for benchmarking progress in hSIC. Disjoint sampling is critical for advancing SOTA models and their real-world application to large-scale land mapping with hyperspectral sensors. Overall, with the disjoint test set, the performance of the deep models achieves 96.36% accuracy on Indian Pines data, 99.73% on Pavia University data, 98.29% on University of houston data, 99.43% on Botswana data, and 99.88% on Salinas data. © 2024 The Authors.

LiBh_(4) containing 18.5 wt.%h_(2) is an attractive high-capacity hydrogen storage material,however,it suffers from high operation temperature and poor ***,a novel and low-cost bifunctional additive,waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4) secondary nanospheres assembled from ultrafine primary Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,is synthesized,which exhibits significant destabilization and bidirectional catalyzation towards(de)hydrogenation of LiBh_(4).With an optimized addition of 30 wt.% waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4),the system initiated dehydrogenation below 100℃ and released a total of 8.1 wt.%h_(2) to 400℃.After 10 cycles,a capacity retention of 70% was achieved,greatly superior to previously reported oxides-modified *** destabilizing and catalyzing mechanisms of waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4) on LiBh_(4) were systematically analyzed by phase and microstructural evolutions during dehydrogenation and hydrogenation cycling as well as density functional theory(DFT)*** present work provides new insights in developing advanced nano-additives with unique structural and multifunctional designs towards LiBh4 hydrogen storage.
