Design and validation of a handheld capnography device for cardiopulmonary assessment based on the Arduino platform

The design of a handheld capnography device is in great demand because of its effective and practical uses in all cardiac arrest resuscitations,according to the recommendation of the American heart ***,a handheld capnography device that can be used in clinical settings and the home environment is *** proposed device was developed by using an infrared CO_(2)sensor,Arduino mega2560,and a high-resolution display(2.8").Furthermore,two rechargeable batteries(7.6 V,0.99 A)and a secure digital card with a capacity of 16 GB were incorporated to increase the portability and usability of the *** were implemented to measure standard features,namely,inspired CO_(2)(ICO_(2)),end-tidal CO_(2)(EtCO_(2)),and re-spiratory rate(RR).The features of 15 healthy subjects were recorded by using the developed prototype and the standard capnography device(Capnostream^(Tm)20 model CS08798).Validation was performed with Bland-Altman *** revealed that mean differences±standard deviations for the set limits of ICO_(2),EtCO_(2)and RR were 0.29±1.30 millimeters of mercury(mmhg),0.15±1.77 mmhg and 0.40±0.97 breaths per minute(bpm),*** of the differences among device measurements across all features fell within the 95%limits of ***,the developed device may help manage respiratory distress conditions in and outside of a hospital setting.

A broadband cross-polarization conversion anisotropic metasurface based on multiple plasmon resonances

A compact broadband cross-polarization conversion metasurface functioning in the microwave regime is realized and experimentally demonstrated. The metasurface consists of a two-dimensional periodic arrangement of anisotropic double- slit split-ring-resonator-based unit cells printed on top of a dielectric substrate, backed by metallic cladding. The proposed metasurface converts an x- or y-polarized wave into its orthogonal polarization over a fractional bandwidth of 100% from 5- 15 Ghz, both for normal as well as oblique incidence. moreover, the sub-wavelength unit-cell size, thin dielectric substrate, and unique unit-cell design collectively make the response of the metasurface same for both polarizations and insensitive to the incidence angle. The designed structure is fabricated and tested. The measurement and simulation results are found to be consistent with each other.

Ultrafast laser dynamics of metal organic frameworks/TiO_2 nano-arrays hybrid composites for energy conversion applications

herein,we report the victorious synthesis of metal-organic frameworks(mOFs) on TiO_2 nanotubes(NTs)using a layer-by-layer(LbL) *** crystalline and homogenous thin films of mOFs were grown and characterized using XRD,SEm,FT-IR and UV/Vis ***,the utilization of the mOF films as sensitizers was probed in bespoke Graetzel type liquid junction solar *** constructed cell performance revealed an I_(sc) of 1.16 mA cm^(–2),Vocof 0.63 V,FF of 0.33,and E_(ff) of 0.42%.Further,pumpprobe transient laser spectroscopy was performed to investigate the energy and charge transfer dynamics of the mOFs/TiO_2 NTs *** results indicated 86% injection *** ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy allows the investigation of this process and the differences between *** also showed that the relaxation of the mOF chromophores is in competition with electron injection in the Ti O2 *** this study provides a new insight into electron transfer from photoexcited metal-organic frameworks(mOFs) into titanium dioxide.

Two-component modeling for non-Newtonian nanofluid slip flow and heat transfer over sheet: Lie group approach

The present paper deals with the multiple solutions and their stability analy- sis of non-Newtonian micropolar nanofluid slip flow past a shrinking sheet in the presence of a passively controlled nanoparticle boundary condition. The Lie group transformation is used to find the similarity transformations which transform the governing transport equations to a system of coupled ordinary differential equations with boundary condi- tions. These coupled set of ordinary differential equation is then solved using the Runge- kutta-Fehlberg fourth-fifth order （RkF45） method and the ode15s solver in mATLAB. For stability analysis, the eigenvalue problem is solved to check the physically realizable solution. The upper branch is found to be stable, whereas the lower branch is unsta- ble. The critical values （turning points） for suction （0 〈 sc 〈 s） and the shrinking parameter （Xc 〈 X 〈 0） are also shown graphically for both no-slip and multiple-slip conditions. multiple regression analysis for the stable solution is carried out to inves- tigate the impact of various pertinent parameters on heat transfer rates, The Nusselt number is found to be a decreasing function of the thermophoresis and Brownian motion parameters.

Conversion of malaysian low-rank coal to mesoporous activated carbon:Structure characterization and adsorption properties

malaysian Selantik low-rank coal(SC)was used as a precursor to prepare a form of mesoporous activated carbon(SC-AC)with greater surface area(SA)via a microwave induced kOh-activation *** characteristics of the SC and SC-AC were evaluated by the iodine number,ash content,bulk density,and moisture content The structure and surface characterization was carried out using pore structure analysis(BET),scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEm-EDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier Transform Infrared(FTIR),elemental analysis(ChNS),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),and determination of the point of zero charge(ph(PZC)).These results signify a mesoporous structure of SC-AC with an increase of ca.1160 times(BET SA=1094.3 m^2·g^-1)as compared with raw SC without activation(BET SA=1.23 m^2·g^-1).The adsorptive properties of the SC-AC with methylene blue(mB)was carried out at variable adsorbent dose(0.2-1.6 g·L^-1),solution ph(2-12),initial mB concentrations(25-400 mg·L^-1),and contact time(0-290 min)using batch mode *** kinetic profiles follow pseudo-second order kinetics and the equilibrium uptake of mB conforms to the Langmuir model with a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity of 491.7 mg g^-1 at 303 *** functions revealed a spontaneous endothermic adsorption *** mechanism of adsorption included mainly electrostatic attractions,hydrogen bonding interaction,andπ-πstacking *** work shows that malaysian Selantik low-rank coal is a promising precursor for the production of low-cost and efficient mesoporous activated carbon with substantive surface area.

In this article, we introduce the notion of generalized derivations on hilbert C＊-modules. We use a fixed-point method to prove the generalized hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability associated to the Pexiderized Cauchy-Jensen type functional equationrf（x＋y/r）＋sg（x-y/s）=2h（x）for r, s ∈ R ／ m on hilbert C＊-modules, where f, g, and h are mappings from a hilbert C＊-module m to m.

Islands of stability and quasi-magic numbers for super- and ultra-heavy nuclei

In the framework of Strutinsky＇s approach, we calculated the shell and the residual pairing correction energies for 5569 even-even nuclei in the range 72 ≤ Z ≤ 282 and 96≤N ≤ 540. Quasi-magic numbers and deformed islands of stability that reside in a range defined by Green＇s formula and the two-neutrons drip line are introduced. We present 36 quasi-magic proton and 53 quasi-magic neutron magic numbers that contribute to the formation of 133 deformed islands of stability along the N-Z space. The quasi-magic proton and neutron magic numbers volatile as the mass number increases and other magic numbers take over. Consequently, the deformed islands of stability fail to exhibit a pattern along the search space covered.

This study examines the large amount of agricultural waste produced in Egypt between 2010 and 2019 by analysing data from various departments within the Agriculture *** also provides a comprehensive database on the biomass available from agricultural waste in Egypt and its potential applications for producing power,heat and chemical *** biomass-pyrolysis systems powered by solar energy are used,research demonstrates the potential to convert agricultural waste into a variety of chemical *** approach utilizes solar energy,a clean and renewable source,and has wide-ranging industrial and power generation *** Egypt’s reliance on agriculture,the country currently utilizes little biomass for energy production and has not previously used it as a source for creating chemical products,which could potentially save on the imported oil used in these *** findings of the study are graphically presented using histograms,pie charts,*** overall production of residues reached the 30-mt level in *** it contains the most rice-cultivated land,Dakahlia(Lower Egypt region)produces the highest percentage of the total residue(37.17%).Qena governorate(Upper Egypt region)produces 1.14 metric tons of residues,with sugarcane accounting for 20.3%of the total.

humidity and seasonality drives body size patterns in males of the bush cricket Isophya rizeensis Sevgili, 2003 （Orthoptera： Tettigoniidae： Phaneropterinae）

Two primary patterns of body size variation have been recorded in ectotherms in relation to latitudinal/altitudinal shifts. In some, body size increases with increasing latitude/altitude whereas, in others, body size decreases with increasing latitude/altitude. This clinal variation is generally assumed to be caused by local adaptation to environmental conditions however the selective variable（s）（temperature, humidity, diet quality, etc.） is still heavily debated. here we investigate geographic variation in body size of dark and pale color morphs of males of the bush-cricket lsophya rizeensis collected from 15 locations along an elevation gradient ranging from 350 to 2 500 m. Using an information theoretical approach we evaluate the relative support of four different hypotheses （the temperature size rule, the moisture gradient hypothesis, the seasonal constraint hypothesis, and the primary productivity hypothesis） explaining body size variation along the altitudinal gradient. Body size variation in pale color morphs showed a curvilinear relationship with altitude while dark color morphs showed no variation in body size. Body size variation in pale color morphs was highly correlated with precipitation and temperature seasonality values thus giving strong support for the moisture gradient and seasonal constraint hypothesis. Our results reinforce the importance of gradients in humidity and seasonality over temperature in the creation of altitudinal body size clines and the role of selection for resistance to stress factors in the establishment of these clines. Whether a body size cline is observed or not might also depend on the phenotypic properties of the individuals, like coloration.
