FLATmodel is a 2D finite volume code that contains several original approaches to improve debris-flow simulation. Firstly, FLATmodel incorporates a "stop-and-go" technique in each cell to allow continuous collapses and remobilizations of the debris-flow mass. Secondly, flow velocity and consequently yield stress is directly associated with the type of rheology to improve boundary accuracy. Thirdly, a simple approach for entrainment is also included in the model to analyse the effect of basal erosion of debris flows. FLATmODEL was tested at several events that occurred in the Eastern Pyrenees and simulation results indicated that the model can represent rather well the different characteristics observed in the field.

Purpose:.To determine the relationship of central corneal thickness(CCT), curvature(CC), and intraocular pressure(IOP) as determinative factors for corneal biomechanics and in refractive ***:.The study investigated 48 eyes from subjects who visited the Excimer Laser Surgery Clinic at the Department of Ophthalmology. The refractive error, IOP, CCT, and CC were measured in all participants. After 3 months, all examinations were ***:.Linear regression demonstrated a significant positive relationship between pre- and postoperative CCT,.CC,.and IOP values..The IOP showed a significant correlation with CCT(P=0.033) for pre-PRK, but no significant relationship was seen post-PRK. The CCT also correlated significantly with CC both pre- and post-PRK(Phe IOP was significantly correlated with CCT before PRK, but its behavior differed after surgery. Nearly the same correlation was seen between CCT and CC before and after the PRK;.nevertheless,.IOP measurements should be calculated or estimated more precisely after PRK based on CCT corrections.

motivated by the need to assess the environmental impact of navigation in the upper mississippi River basin. a method was developed for computing *** in unsteady flows similar to the flows induced by navigation traffic. The method accounts for statistical differences between bed shear stress distributions of steady and unsteady flows. Unsteady pulse flow tests performed in a laboratory flume indicate that the stochastic method works well for predicting entrainment, but not significantly better than a similar deterministic method. Temporal and spatial distributions of bed shear stress were also measured beneath a 1:25 scale model of a 3 barge wide by 5 barge long barge tow for a variety of flow and operating conditions. For one set of flow and operating conditions (PDF test) a large number of realizations were gathered so that statistical properties of the bed shear stress below the propeller axis could be observed. As in the laboratory tests, differences between stochastic and deterministic entrainment predictions were small for the PDF barge tow test. Consequently, deterministic calculations of total sediment entrainment are given for the remaining barge tow tests. Finally. it was found that although the stochastic model presented herein does not offer a large improvement over existing deterministic models, fluctuations in bed shear stress do play an important role in the suspension of sediment, and the timing of sediment entrainment in unsteady flows is more closely related to shear stress fluctuations than it is to the ensemble averaged shear stress.

We present new,geological,metamorphic,geochemical and geochronological data on the East Anatolian-Lesser Caucasus *** data are used in combination with a synthesis of previous data and numerical modelling to unravel the tectonic emplacement of ophiolites in this *** these data allow the reconstruction of a large obducted ophiolite nappe,thrusted for>100 km and up to 250 km on the Anatolian-Armenian *** ophiolite petrology shows three distinct magmatic series,highlighted by new isotopic and trace element data:(1)The main Early Jurassic Tholeiites(ophiolite s.s.)bear LILEenriched,subduction-modified,mORB chemical *** and petrology of the Tholeiite series substantiates a slow-spreading oceanic environment in a time spanning from the Late Triassic to the middle-Late ***,gabbros and plagiogranites were exhumed by normal faults,and covered by radiolarites,while minor volumes of pillow-lava flows infilled the rift *** towards a subduction-modified geochemical signature suggests emplacement in a marginal basin above a subduction zone.(2)Late Early Cretaceous alkaline lavas conformably emplaced on top of the *** have an OIB *** lavas are featured by large pillow lavas interbedded a carbonate *** show evidence for a large-scale OIB plume activity,which occurred prior to ophiolite obduction.(3)Early-Late Cretaceous calc-alkaline lavas and *** magmatic rocks are found on top of the obducted nappe,above the post-obduction erosion *** series shows similar Sr-Nd isotopic features as the Alkaline series,though having a clear supra-subduction *** are thus interpreted to be the remelting product of a mantle previously contaminated by the OIB *** of data from the Lesser Caucasus to western Anatolia shows a progression from back-arc to arc and fore-arc,which highlight a dissymmetry in the obducted oceanic lithosphere from East to *** metamo

＜正＞ Normally EEG-signatures are analyzed by transferring the time signal of the electrodes into the frequency domain by a common FFT- or wave-let-transformation. As we will show in this paper, better and faster results can be obtained, if instead of these algorithm the FD-operation is applied to the pure time-signal and further on a DAS-calculation for eliminating the noisy contributions is done. Specially we will compare the signatures of some epilepsy events analyzed by common signal analysis and by the class-oriented DAS- and FD-operations.

medicinal plant are grown and produced in different ecosystems and sites under the influence of different potential factors,including the altitude as one of the vital determinants in the quantity and quality of the *** of the species that grows in the highlands is Tanacetum polycephalum,an aromatic perennial of the *** species is characterized to be antiseptic,analgesic,anesthetic,disinfective,expectorant,anti-cancer,anti-allergic,and conducive to low blood *** purpose of this study is to investigate the essential compositions in the aerial parts of *** at the time of flowering,and in three different altitudes of the Baladeh region of ***,the essential oil was extracted from the aerial parts in the flowering stage of the plant at three altitudes of 1 600,2 400 and 3 200 m using a water distillation method,and the essential oil compositions were identified using GC and GC/mS ***-way ANOVA method was conducted to analyze the obtained data using SPSS,and a Duncan test was administered to compare the *** results indicated that the essential output obtained from the altitudes of 1 600,2 400 and 3 200 m was(0.74±0.01)%,(1.09±0.02)%,and(1.32±1.2)%,respectively,so that the altitude of 3 200 m revealed the greatest quantity,and the altitude of 1 600 m represented the smallest ***,the essential oil compositions showed the highest percentage in the altitude of 3 200 m and the lowest percentage at the altitude of 1 600 *** results showed that as the altitude increases,the essential oil compositions revealed the greater quantity and percentage in the aerial parts of ***.

Ta/NiO/NiFe/Ta multilayers were prepared by rf reactive and dc magnetron sputtering. The exchange coupling field (hex) between NiO and NiFe reached 120O e. The composition and chemical states at the interface region of NiO/NiFe were studied using the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and peak decomposition technique. The results show that there are two thermodynamically favorable reactions at NiO/NiFe interface: NiO+Fe=Ni+FeO and 3NiO+2Fe=3Ni+Fe2O3. The thickness of the chemical reaction as estimated by angle-resolved XPS was about 1-1.5 nm. These interface reaction products are magnetic defects, and we believe that the hex and the coercivity (hc) of NiO/NiFe are affected by these defects. moreover, the results also show that there is an intermixing layer at the Ta/NiO (and NiO/Ta) interface due to a thermodynamically favorable reaction: 2Ta+5NiO+Ta2O5. This interface reaction has an effect on the exchange coupling as well. The thickness of the intermixing layer as estimated by XPS depth-profiles was about 8-10 nm.
