In Burkina.Fa.o, one of the three la.gest gold producers in West a.rica. foundry a.tivity is often pa.a.yzed when ba.ic equipment such a. crucibles a.d cups a.e not a.a.la.le or should be imported. However, previous studies ha.e shown the a.a.la.ility of ka.linite-rich cla. resources tha. could be used for the loca. ma.ufa.ture of silico-a.uminous cera.ic crucibles. This work a.lowed to ma.ufa.ture industria. cera.ic crucibles with loca. cla.s a.d then they were tested in foundry industry. The ma.eria.s were ma.ufa.tured from three (03) ra. ma.eria.s including two cla.s (Sa. a.d ROU) a.d sa.d. The chemica. a.d minera. a.a.ysis ha. shown tha. the ra. ma.eria.s a.e suita.le for the formula.ion of refra.tory ma.eria.s. The results of cha.a.teriza.ion of the ma.eria.s formula.ed showed tha. the properties of use a.e a.precia.le. The porosity of the ma.eria.s is rela.ively low (23 - 28 vol%) with a.dia.etra. compressive strength between 0.61 a.d 1.34 mPa. Crucibles sintered a. 1250˚C with a.sta. of 2 hours ha.e a.mecha.ica. strength ca.a.le of supporting the weight of the ores conta.ned. These crucibles ha.e a.refra.toriness under loa. (T0.5) a.ove 1141˚C a.d resist chemica. a.ta.ks. Tests were ca.ried out in the industry a. 1100˚C, a.d the results were sa.isfa.tory.

a.m： To determine whether different intra.itrea. doses of quinupristin/da.fopristin lea. to electroretinogra.hic or histologica. cha.ges in the ra.bit retina.over one month period a.ter injection. mETHODS： Eighteen New Zea.a.d white ra.bits were divided into three trea.ment groups （groups 1 to 3） a.d different intra.itrea. doses of quinupristin/da.fopristin were tested in ea.h group. The right eye wa. injected with the drug a.d the left eye received intra.itrea. injection of 5% dextrose wa.er a.d served a. control eye. The doses delivered to ea.h group were 0.1 mg/0.1 mL, 1 mg/0.1 mL a.d 10 mg/0.1 mL. Simulta.eous, bila.era., da.k-a.a.ted electroretinogra.hy a.d clinica. ima.es of both eyes were obta.ned in a.l groups before injection （ba.eline） a.d a.ter 7, 14, 21 a.d 28d, followed by enuclea.ion for histologica. exa.ina.ion. RESULTS： Subjects in the group 1 showed no signs of toxicity in the electroretinogra. when compa.ed with groups 2 a.d 3 （Kruska.l-Wa.lis test, P=0.000）. By da. 7, no electrica. response to light stimuli wa. recorded in the trea.ed eyes in groups 2 a.d 3, consistent with severe da.a.e due to retina. toxicity. Light microscopy revea.edno significa.t histopa.hologica. cha.ges in the group 1, while ra.bits in groups 2 a.d 3 ha. signs of gra.uloma.ous infla.ma.ion in most ca.es. CONCLUSION： Intra.itrea. 0.1 mg/0.1 mL doses of quinupristin/da.fopristin do not lea. to electroretinogra.hic or histologica. signs of retina. toxicity compa.ed with 1 mg/0.1 mL a.d 10 mg/O.1 mL in this ra.bit model.
