s.rong>Introduction:s.rong> Coronavirus.dis.as. 2019 (COVID-19) is.caus.d by a viral infection and cons.dered the third coronavirus.em.rging am.ng hum.n beings.over the pas. two decades. Healthcare Workers.(HCWs. are at high ris. of acquiring this.s.rious.infection during providing care to patients. Therefore, it’s.crucial to as.es. the knowledge of the HCWs.about COVID-19. s.rong>m.thods.s.rong> A m.lticenter cros.-s.ctional s.udy was.conducted on HCWs.working at public hos.itals.and Prim.ry Healthcare (PHC) centers.in the Najran region, Ks. to evaluate the s.aff’s.knowledge toward COVID-19. The ques.ionnaire cons.s.ed of two parts. the firs. part included the dem.graphic data, and the s.cond part involved ques.ions.related to the COVID-19. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> 451 HCWs.participated in this.s.udy and the m.dian of overall knowledge s.ore was.67%. m.s. HCWs.properly identified s.m.tom. (82.9%), m.de of trans.0}s.ion (78.5%), the incubation period (96.4%), the way of preventing the infection (91.5%), the COVID-19 is.not s.m. as.m.Rs.CoV (74.3%) and availability of a vaccine agains. the COVID-19 (82%). However, HCWs.were les. likely to identify the s.urce of COVID-19 when it was.dis.overed in China (22.5%), the m.rtality rate (44.6%), and the pres.nce of treatm.nt (32.1%). Overall knowledge s.ore was.s.atis.ically s.gnificantly as.ociated with profes.ion (P = 0.034), educational level (P = 0.033), and availability of the infection control in the workplace (P = 0.006). s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> The findings.of this.s.udy dem.ns.rated an interm.diate level of knowledge of HCWs.about COVID-19. Intervention program. are urgently needed to rais. the knowledge of HCWs.about this.global public health is.ue.

Objective: To com.are m.ternal and fetal outcom. as.ociated with two m.thods.Revers. breech extraction vers.s.Head pus.ing to deliver the im.acted fetal head in advanced labor requiring em.rgency Ces.rean s.ction. m.thod: A pros.ective com.arative s.udy was.conducted on 80 pregnant wom.n at term.with cephalic pres.ntation in advanced labour, requiring em.rgency Ces.rean s.ction. Revers. breech extraction technique (pull m.thod) was.us.d in 40 cas.s.(group I) and pus.ing the head up through the vagina (“pus.” m.thod) was.tried in (group II) 40 cas.s. The m.ternal outcom. was.as.es.ed by extens.on of the uterine Incis.on, bladder injury, intra and pos.operative blood trans.us.on, Pos.partum.hem.rrhage, wound infection and duration of hos.ital s.ay. Fetal outcom. was.Apgar s.ore and adm.s.ion to neonatal intens.ve care unit. Res.lts. Extens.on of the uterine incis.on was.s.gnificantly lower in wom.n undergoing revers. breech extraction com.ared to cephalic delivery (20% vers.s.50%;p = 0.001). The m.an operative tim. (pull group) was.lower than that in the (pus. group) 59.7 ± 4.2, vers.s.75.2 ± 6.1 p = 0.001 and blood los. was.s.gnificantly lower in the (pull group) than that in the (pus. group) 878 ± 67 m., vers.s.1321 ± 57 m., p = 0.001. No s.gnificant difference between groups.regarding m.ternal and neonatal outcom.. Conclus.on: Revers. breech extraction (pull) is.s.fer than pus.ing head up through vagina (pus.) for delivery of a deeply im.acted fetal head in advanced labour s.ns.tizing em.rgency Ces.rean s.ction and is.as.ociated with the leas. m.ternal com.lications.

Background: Cutaneous.leis.m.nias.s.(CL) is.an endem.c dis.as. in Iraq, now is.running in an outbreaks. m.ny therapies.have been tried in treatm.nt of the dis.as.. Objective: Loranthus.europaeus.(LE) is.a well-known m.dical plant and has.m.ny pharm.cological effects.in m.ny in vitro s.udies. The aim.of the s.udy is.to evaluate the effectivenes. of 40% LE ointm.nt and com.ared it with topical 25% podophyllin s.lution in treatm.nt of acute CL. Patients.and m.thods. Thirty five patients.with acute CL were enrolled in this.s.ngle blinded, therapeutic, com.arative s.udy, which was.done in the Departm.nt of Derm.tology, Baghdad Teaching Hos.ital, Baghdad, Iraq during January 2015-Jully 2015. The total num.er of les.ons.were 86 (76 les.ons.treated and ten les.ons.in a covered area left without treatm.nt as.control). Duration of les.ons.ranged from.4 to 12 (7.37 ± 2.77) weeks. The s.ze of les.ons.ranged from.0.5 - 7 (2.81 ± 1.76) cm. Diagnos.s.was.confirm.d by biops. and/or s.0}ars. Les.ons.were divided in to two groups.and s.ored as.(m.ld, m.derate, m.rked, com.lete cure) according to a m.dified s.arquie’s.leis.m.nia s.ore to as.es. the objective res.ons. to the topical or s.s.em.c therapy. Group A:Thirty three (43.42%) les.ons.treated with topical 25% podophyllin s.lution once weekly for m.xim.m.6 weeks. Group B: Forty three (56.58%) les.ons.treated with 40% LE ointm.nt once daily at bedtim. for 6 hours.under occlus.on for m.xim.m.6 weeks. The followed-up was.carried out every 2 weeks.for 8 weeks.during treatm.nt, then m.nthly for next three m.nths.after end of therapy. Res.lts. the total num.er of les.ons.was.86 les.ons. 46 (53.49%) were ulcerated and 40 (46.51%) were dry;18 (51.43%) patients.had s.ngle les.on while 17 (48.57%) patients.had m.ltiple les.ons. At the end of therapy (6 weeks.after s.arting treatm.nt), the cure rate was.84.84% in Group A, and 79.07% in Group B. Objective:To inves.igate the antifibrotic role of ros.0}rinic acid(RA),a natural polyphenolic com.ound,on Hs.s.activation/proliferation and apoptos.s.in vitro and in vivo. m.thods.The im.act of RA on s.ellate cell line(Hs.-T6) proliferation,activation and apoptos.s.was.as.es.ed along with its.s.fety on prim.ry hepatocytes. In vivo,rats.were divided into:(i) norm.l;(ii) thioacetam.de(TAA)-intoxicated rats.for 12 weeks.(iii) TAA+s.lym.rin or(iv) TAA+RA. At the end of experim.nt,liver functions.oxidative s.res.,inflam.atory and profibrogenic m.rkers.tis.ue inhibitor m.talloproteinas.s.type-1(TIm.-1) and hydroxyproline(HP) levels.were evaluated. Additionally,liver his.opathology and im.unohis.ochem.cal exam.nations.of alpha-s.0}oth m.s.le actin(α-s.0}),cas.as.-3 and proliferation cellular nuclear antigen(PCNA) were determ.ned. Res.lts.RA exhibited anti-proliferative effects.on cultured Hs.s.in a tim. and concentration dependent m.nner s.owing an IC50 of 276 μg/m. and 171 μg/m. for 24 h and 48 h,res.ectively,with m.rphological revers.on of activated s.ellate cell m.rphology to quies.ent form. It s.gnificantly im.roved ALT,As.,oxidative s.res. m.rkers.and reduced TIm.-1,HP levels.inflam.atory m.rkers.and fibros.s.s.ore(s. vs.s.). Furtherm.re,reduction in α-s.0} plus.elevation in cas.as.-3 expres.ions.of Hs.s.in vitro and in vivo as.ociated with an inhibition in proliferation of dam.ged hepatocytes.were recorded. AIm.o evaluate the revers.bility of m.nim.l hepatic encephalopathy (m.E) following liver trans.lantation (LT) in Egyptian cirrhotic patients. m.THODs.his.pros.ective s.udy included twenty patients.with biops.-proven liver cirrhos.s.lis.ed for LT and twenty age- and s.x-m.tched healthy control s.bjects. B, digit s.m.ol tes. and s.rial dotting tes.. The ps.chom.tric hepatic encephalopathy s.ore (PHEs. was.calculated for patients.to diagnos. m.E. Ps.chom.tric tes.s.were repeated s.x m.nths.following LT in the cirrhotic patient group. Objective: To apply office hys.eros.opy in as.es.m.nt/m.nagem.nt of patients.with recurrent m.s.arriage, thus.to/or not to recom.end office hys.eros.opy as.a routine procedure in s.ch cas.s. s.udy des.gn: Retros.ective analys.s. s.tting: Univers.ty hos.ital’s.outpatient abortion clinic. s.bjects.& m.thodology: Patients. records.during the period between m.rch 2015 and January 2017 for s.bjects.with at leas. 2 previous.m.s.arriages. who had undergone office hys.eros.opy were reviewed. Res.lts. Cas.s.with 2 previous.m.s.arriages.(n = 95) were as.es.ed and com.ared with thos. with 3 or m.re m.s.arriages.(n = 105). Abnorm.l uterine findings.were diagnos.d in 24.1% of the form.r, and 43.8% of the latter group. The prevalence of uterine les.ons.am.ng cas.s.with 2 recurrent m.s.arriages.was.42.1%;m.anwhile, for s.bjects.with 3 or m.re cons.cutive m.s.arriages. it was.43.8%. Conclus.on: In addition to s.fety profile, s.m.licity and outpatient bas.s.of us., outpatient hys.eros.opy in recurrent m.s.arriages.would be an added-value to practitioners.as.a diagnos.ic and therapeutic tool.

Effect of Notch s.verity on Fatigue Behaviour of ADI Cas.ings

An inves.igation was.carried out to exam.ne the influence of notch s.ns.tivity on fatigue behaviour of aus.em.ered ductile iron (ADI). s.m.les.were m.de of ductile iron with a chem.cal com.os.tion of 3.55% C, 2.18% s., 0.35% m., 0.022 P, 0.008 s.and 0.045% m.. The s.m.les.were heat treated by aus.enitizing at 900℃?for 1 h and then rapidly quenched into two different s.lt baths.at 350 and 400℃?for 1 h each. This.work aim. at s.udying the capability of m.chanical s.res. analys.s.s.ftware (ANs.s.12.0), as.a nondes.ructive tool, to characterize and quantify the fatigue s.rength of the notched ADI s.m.les.with different radii (from.1 to 3 m.). In addition, experim.ntal tes.ing was.perform.d us.ng rotary bending fatigue m.chine on notched s.m.les.with radii of 1, 1.5 and 2-m. to verify the theoretical data obtained by ANs.s.12. The res.lts.s.ow that the predicted fatigue s.rength es.im.ted by ANs.s.12 is.very clos. to the experim.ntal one. Therefore, fatigue perform.nce of the rotating parts.m.de of ADI can be es.im.ted theoreticcally us.ng ANs.s.12.0. The fatigue s.rength of thes. parts.can als. be im.roved by increas.ng the form.d filled radius.due to decreas.ng the notch s.ns.tivity factor.

Diabetic Ketoacidos.s.(DKA) is.a s.rious.and potentially a fatal com.lication of diabetes.m.llitus. Tools.to guarantee proper, evidence-bas.d, guideline im.lem.ntation are of param.unt im.ortance and an es.ential elem.nt for quality patient care. Clinical pathways.repres.nt one s.ch tool that clearly prom.tes.the im.lem.ntation of guidelines.and res.arch evidence into clinical practice. The aim. of this.s.udy were to m.as.re quantitatively and qualitatively the im.act of a s.ecially s.ructured Res.dent-friendly, DKA clinical pathway on the application of evidence-bas.d m.nagem.nt s.andards.and its.acceptability by the treating res.dent phys.cians. A retros.ective chart review of patients.who were adm.tted prior to and after the launching of the clinical pathway and a ques.ionnaire as.es.m.nt of res.dent’s.acceptance of the pathway form.t were undertaken. Eighty one epis.des.of DKA in a total of 58 patients.fulfilled the criteria for inclus.on in the s.udy. Thirty s.ven adm.s.ions.were on the pathway (45.7%) and 44 were not (54.3%). Docum.ntation of s.verity indices.of patients.who were adm.tted under the pathway were s.gnificantly im.roved with a trend for a s.orter hos.ital s.ay.
