Background: Pre-eclam.sia is one of the pathologies of pregnancy that causes serious m.ternal and fetal com.lications. Good nursing m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia could stabilize and lim.t possible m.ternal and fetal com.lication. Aim. This study aim. to assess nurses’ knowledge of the m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia. This is a descriptive prospective study conducted at the Van Norm.n Clinic over three-m.nth period from.Novem.er 1st, 2020 to January 31st, 2021 to assess the knowledge of nurses assigned to the Patient reception service, Em.rgency service, Gynecological-Obstetrics service and Com.unity m.dicine departm.nt on the m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia. Data were treated using m.crosoft Word and analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Scientists version 16 (SPSS). During the period of our study, we collected 40 nurses out of 44 nurses, which represents 90.9% (n = 40) of the nurses assigned to the Patient reception service, Em.rgency service, Gynecological-Obstetrics service and Com.unity m.dicine departm.nt. Am.ng the 40 cases collected, 30% respondents did not give the true definition of pre-eclam.sia. Our study also showed that 70% of nurses had not been trained on the m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia and 90% had not used nursing theories in their practice while the Inquiry-Based Practice (IBP) and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) applications were known in 7.5% of cases. With regard to the nursing m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia, 62.5% of cases knew the first gestures of m.nagem.nt while 90% of cases did not know the overall nursing m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia. Last of continuing education, use of nursing theories and lack of resuscitation were the m.in obstacles observed in the nursing m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia. For better nursing m.nagem.nt of pre-eclam.sia, em.hasis should be placed on building staff capacity and executing the care plan by applying nursing theories.

Introduction: m.ringa oleifera was a m.dicinal plant generally used by populations in the food and therapeutic fields. It’s used to treat anem.a has been observed in the Djougou Zone in northern Benin. To our knowledge, there were no scientific data available that have evaluated its efficacy in the treatm.nt of haem.lytic anem.a. This was what justifies this research work in which the phytochem.cal analysis, extraction and evaluation of the anti-anem.c effect were carried out. m.thods: Five groups of five Wistar rats each were form.d. All the rats were rendered anem.c by injection of phenylhydrazine hydrochloride on the first two days D0 and D1 except those in the negative control group. From.the second day, the anem.c groups were force-fed either with the aqueous extract of m.ringa oleifera leaves at 200 or 300 m./kg body weight/day, or with vitafer, the reference drug against anem.a. The positive control group (anem.a) was not treated. Blood sam.les were taken from.all the rats on different days: D0, D2, D7, D10 and D15 to evaluate the data of the hem.gram.and the osm.tic resistance of the red blood cells. Results: Phytochem.cal analysis revealed the presence of tannins, flavonoids, leucoanthocyanins, saponosides, triterpenes and m.cilages. A good yield was obtained at the extraction. Both the extract and the reference drug vitafer com.letely corrected anem.a within two weeks after stim.lating hem.globin synthesis and early release of im.ature red blood cells into the bloodstream. Its effect seem.d dose-dependent and specific. Conclusion: m.ringa oleifera leaves showed good therapeutic efficacy and can be considered and exploited for transform.tion into im.roved traditional m.dicines (ITm. in the treatm.nt of anem.a.

Introduction: Body Dysm.rphia Disorder (BDD) is a m.ntal disorder characterized by an obsessive focus on a perceived defect in appearance. This disorder can be dangerous or life-threatening. Hence, there is the need for special attention. Objective: The aim.of this study was to determ.ne the prevalence of Body Dysm.rphia Disorder (BDD) and to identify the factors associated with it. m.thods: This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study that took place from.Decem.er 2020 to October 2021, with a census of all m.dical students enrolled at the University of Parakou for the 2020-2021 academ.c year and who volunteered to participate. DSm.5 diagnostic criteria were used to assess BDD, and the Yale-Brown Obsessive-Com.ulsive Scale m.dified for Body Dysm.rphic Disorder (BDD-YBOCS) was used to assess its severity. Results: A total of 669 people were included in the study. The prevalence of probable cases of BDD was 10.31%. Gender (fem.le) (OR = 2.49;IC 95%: [1.45 - 4.26];p m. with cosm.tic sequelae (OR = 2.95;IC 95%: [1.27 - 6.91];p = 0.012), depressive disorders (OR = 2.4;IC 95%: [1.12 - 5.15];p = 0.025), m.ckery/teasing or negative com.ents about physique (OR = 3.54;IC 95%: [2.06 - 6.12];p m.ntal disappointm.nts (OR = 2.89;IC 95%: [1.33 - 6.30];p = 0.008), and the im.ortance attached to physical appearance (OR = 0.5;IC 95%: [0.31 - 0.82];p = 0.005) are associated with BDD. Its consequences are serious, with an altered quality of life that can lead to dropping out of school and suicidal ideation or behavior. Conclusion: Although little studied and little diagnosed, Body Dysm.rphia Disorder (BDD) is a reality in the student environm.nt of northern Benin. Further studies are needed to m.re define BDD in the Beninese socio-cultural context.
