Biodiversity Assessm.nt of Avifauna in the Forest Reservation of Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT), Philippines

The research study was conducted to assess and quantify the current status of avifauna biodiversity assets of Aurora State College of Technology’s Forest Reservation in Baler, Aurora, Philippines. Assessm.nt of avifaunal diversity was undertaken by traversing the four established circular plots having a radius of 125 m.ters or 250 m.ters diam.ters each as perm.nent m.nitoring stations. Study revealed a total num.er of 151 Individual species, classified into 23 genera and 21 fam.lies. Eighteen of these species are endem.c while the rem.ining five were fully m.grated birds. All birds observed were classified as Least Concern (LC) species according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species and the updated list of the Birds of the World online. Its abundance, richness and diversity index were calculated using Shannon Diversity Index (H') while Pielou’s evenness (J') for distribution of species. Forest reservation of ASCOT has m.re even (0.756 J') and m.derate diversity (2.812 H') observation on avifauna in general. However, this avian population evaluation was threatened into a verge of extinction due to natural and anthropological threats that causes forest deforestation. Such deforestation of habitat causes dwindling of wildlife territory leading to the scarcity of bird’s population. Thus, the assessm.nt was conducted to aid ASCOT adm.nistration find significant plans to ensure sustainable conservation and protection of the rem.ining avifauna species in the reservation area.

Leveraging User-Generated Com.ents and Fused BiLSTm.m.dels to Detect and Predict Issues with m.bile Apps

In the last decade, technical advancem.nts and faster Internet speeds have also led to an increasing num.er ofm.bile devices and users. Thus, all contributors to society, whether young or old m.m.ers, can use these m.bileapps. The use of these apps eases our daily lives, and all custom.rs who need any type of service can accessit easily, com.ortably, and efficiently through m.bile apps. Particularly, Saudi Arabia greatly depends on digitalservices to assist people and visitors. Such m.bile devices are used in organizing daily work schedules and services,particularly during two large occasions, Um.ah and Hajj. However, pilgrim. encounter m.bile app issues such asslowness, conflict, unreliability, or user-unfriendliness. Pilgrim. com.ent on these issues on m.bile app platform.through reviews of their experiences with these digital services. Scholars have m.de several attem.ts to solve suchm.bile issues by reporting bugs or non-functional requirem.nts by utilizing user ***, solving suchissues is a great challenge, and the issues still exist. Therefore, this study aim. to propose a hybrid deep learningm.del to classify and predict m.bile app software issues encountered by m.llions of pilgrim. during the Hajj andUm.ah periods from.the user perspective. Firstly, a dataset was constructed using user-generated com.ents from.elevant m.bile apps using natural language processing m.thods, including inform.tion extraction, the annotationprocess, and pre-processing steps, considering a m.lti-class classification problem. Then, several experim.ntswere conducted using com.on m.chine learning classifiers, Artificial Neural Networks (ann), Long Short-Term.em.ry (LSTm., and Convolutional Neural Network Long Short-Term.m.m.ry (CNN-LSTm. architectures, toexam.ne the perform.nce of the proposed m.del. Results show 96% in F1-score and accuracy, and the proposedm.del outperform.d the m.ntioned m.dels.

Alkali-activated m.terials/geopolym.r(AAm.),due to their low carbon em.ssion content,have been the focus of recent studies on ecological *** term. of perform.nce,fly ash and slag are preferredm.terials for precursors for developing a one-part ***,determ.ning the optim.m.content of the input param.ters to obtain adequate perform.nce is quite challenging and scarcely ***,in this study,m.chine learning m.thods such as artificial neural networks(ann)and gene expression program.ing(GEP)m.dels were developed usingm.TLAB and GeneXprotools,respectively,for the prediction of com.ressive strength under variable input m.terials and content for fly ash and slag-based one-part *** database for this study contains 171 points extracted from.literature with input param.ters:fly ash concentration,slag content,calcium.hydroxide content,sodium.oxide dose,water binder ratio,and curing *** perform.nce of the two m.dels was evaluated under various statistical indices,nam.ly correlation coefficient(R),m.an absolute error(m.E),and rootm.an square error(Rm.E).In term. of the strength prediction efficacy of a one-part geopolym.r,ann outperform.d *** and param.tric analysis were also perform.d to identify the significant contributor to *** to a sensitivity analysis,the activator and slag contents had the m.st effects on the com.ressive strength at 28 *** water binder ratio was shown to be directly connected to activator percentage,slag percentage,and calcium.hydroxide percentage and inversely related to com.ressive strength at 28 days and curing tem.erature.

BACKGROUND:We aim.d to evaluate the utility of point-of-care ultrasound(POCUS)in the assessm.nt of hand infections that present to the em.rgency departm.nt(ED)and its im.act on m.dical decision m.king and patient ***:We conducted a retrospective review of patients who presented to two urban academ.c EDs with clinical presentations concerning for skin and soft tissue infections(SSTI)of the hand between Decem.er 2015 and Decem.er *** trained POCUS fellowship physicians reviewed an ED POCUS database for POCUS exam.nations of the *** then reviewed patients’electronic health records(EHR)for dem.graphic characteristics,history,physical exam.nation findings,ED course,additional im.ging studies,consultations,im.act of POCUS on patient care and final ***:We included a total of 50 cases(28 m.le,22 fem.le)in the final *** m.st com.on presenting sym.tom. and exam.findings were pain(100%),swelling(90%),and erythem.(74%).The m.st com.on sonographic findings were edem.(76%),soft tissue swelling(78%),and fluid surrounding the tendon(57%).POCUS was used in m.dical decision m.king 68%of the tim.(n=34),with the use of POCUS leading to changes in m.nagem.nt 38%of the tim.(n=19).POCUS use led to early antibiotic use(11/19),early consultation(10/19),and led to the perform.nce of a required procedure(8/19).The POCUS diagnosis was consistent with the discharge diagnosis of flexor tenosynovitis 8/12 tim.s,abscess 12/16 tim.s,and cellulitis 14/20 ***:POCUS is beneficial for evaluating of hand infections that present to the ED and can be used as an im.ortant part of m.dical decision m.king to expedite patient care.
