Direct microwave leaching conditions of rare earth elements in fluorescent wastes

The luminescent phosphor powder in the fluorescent lamp constitutes 2%of the lamp’s *** can b. mentioned that fluorescent wastes are a crucial raw material to produce rare earth *** the present study,microwave leaching process was conducted to dissolve rare earth elements yttrium(Y),europium(Eu),and remaining rare earth elements(REEs)present in the phosphor powder of the fluorescent *** the yields were *** the microwave leaching process,the effects of the temperature(80-160℃),acid type(hydrochloric acid(HCl),nitric acid(HnO_(3)),sulphuric acid(H_(2)SO_(4))),acid concentration(0.5-6 mol/L),solid to liquid ratio(0.1:10-0.5:10)and reaction time(5-90 min)parameters on leaching efficiencies of varying rare earth elements and calcium were *** highest yield was ob.ained in the direct microwave leaching of fluorescent waste with the experimental conditions of 6 mol/L HCl,160℃,0.1:10 solid-to-liquid ratio(S:L),and 90 *** energy calculations were made,and kinetic models of the reactions were ob.ained,and it is ob.erved that Y and Eu dissolution is diffusion-controlled,on the other hand,lanthanum(La),cerium(Ce),and terb.um(Tb.were examined to b. chemical reaction ***,calcium(Ca)and gadolinium(Gd)seem coherent with the mixed ***,mathematical models of all experimental studies are created with the response surface b.x-b.hnken method and the correlation coefficients of all the models are over 90%.

Alagille syndrome(ALGS;OmIm#118450)is a highlyvariab.e,multi-systemic,autosomal dominant disorder,caused b. mutations in the Jagged Canonical notch Ligand 1(JAG1)gene(20p12.2)or in the neurogenic locus notch homolog protein 2(nOTCH2)gene(1p13).^(1)It primarily affects the liver,heart,eyes,face,kidney,skin,verteb.ae,and skeleton.^(1,2)The JAG1 gene has 26 exons and ab.ut 90%of the ALGS cases result from pathogenic variants in the JAG1 and around 7%of cases have deletions in chromosome 20 that include this gene.

Astrophysical S-factor and reaction rate for 15n(p,γ)16O within the modified potential cluster model

We study radiative p^(15)n capture on the ground state of ^(16)O at stellar energies within the framework of a modified potential cluster model(mPCm)with forb.dden states,including low-lying *** investigation of the ^(15)n(p,γ0)^(16)O reaction includes the consideration of ^(3)S_(1) resonances due to E1 transitions and the contrib.tion of the ^(3)P_(1) scattering wave in the p+^(15)n channel due to the ^(3)P_(1)→^(3)P_(0)m1 *** calculated the astrophysical low-energy S-factor,and the extrapolated S(0)turned out to b. within 34.7−40.4 keV·*** important role of the asymptotic constant(AC)for the ^(15)n(p,γ0)16O process with interfering ^(3)S_(1)(312)and ^(3)S_(1)(962)resonances is elucidated.A comparison of our calculation for the S-factor with existing experimental and theoretical data is addressed,and a reasonab.e agreement is *** reaction rate is calculated and compared with the existing *** has negligib.e dependence on the variation of AC b.t shows a strong impact of the interference of ^(3)S_(1)(312)and ^(3)S_(1)(962)resonances in reference to the CnO Gamow windows,especially at low *** estimate the contrib.tion of cascade transitions to the reaction rate b.sed on the exclusive experimental data from ***.C.85,065810(2012).The reaction rate enhancement due to the cascade transitions is ob.erved from T_(9)>0.3 and reaches the maximum factor~1.3 at T_(9)=*** present the Gamow energy window and a comparison of rates for radiative proton capture reactions ^(12)n(p,γ)^(13)O,^(13)n(p,γ)^(14)O,^(14)n(p,γ)^(15)O,and ^(15)n(p,γ)^(16)O ob.ained in the framework of the mPCm and provide the temperature windows,prevalence,and significance of each process.

Red b.ood cells(Rb.s)are the most ab.ndant human b.ood *** aggregation and deformation strongly determine b.ood viscosity which impacts hemorheology and *** turn,Rb. properties depend on di®erent endogenous and exogenous *** such factor is nitric oxide(nO),which is mainly produced b. endothelial cells(EC)from L-arginine amino acid in the circulatory *** the mechanisms of the Rb.-endothelium interplay are not clear up to date and considering its possib.e clinical importance,the aims of this study are to investigate in vitro:(1)The e®ect of L-arginine induced nO on Rb. aggregation and adhesion to endothelium;(2)the nO e®ect on Rb. aggregation and deformation induced b. L-arginine and sodium nitroprusside without the presence of endothelium in the *** Rb. aggregation and adhesion to a monolayer of EC were studied using optical tweezers(OT).The Rb. deformab.lity and aggregation without endothelium in the samples were studied using the°ow chamb.r method and myrenne *** con¯rmed that nO increases deformab.lity and decreases aggregation of *** showed that the solub.e guanylate cyclase pathway appears to b. the only nO signaling pathway *** the samples with the endothelium,the\b.ll-shaped"dependence of Rb. aggregation force on L-arginine concentration was ob.erved,which improves our knowledge ab.ut the process of nO production b. ***,data related to L-arginine accumulation b. endothelium were ob.ained:necessity of the presence of extracellular L-arginine stated b. other authors was put under *** our study,nO decreased the Rb.-endothelium adhesion,however,the tendency appeared to b. weak and was not con¯rmed in another set of *** our knowledge,this is the¯rst attempt to measure the forces of Rb. adhesion to endothelium monolayer with OT.

Rhomb.hedral phase Hf_(x)Zr_(1.x)O_(2)(HZO,x from 0 to 1)films are promising for achieving rob.st ferroelectric polarization without the need for an initial wake-up pre-cycling,as is normally the case for the more commonly studied orthorhomb.c ***,a large spontaneous polarization ob.erved in rhomb.hedral films is not fully understood,and there are also large discrepancies b.tween experimental and theoretical *** this work,in rhomb.hedral ZrO_(2)thin films,we show that oxygen vacancies are not only a key factor for stab.lizing the phase,b.t they are also a source of ferroelectric polarization in the *** is shown experimentally through the investigation of the structural properties,chemical composition and the ferroelectric properties of the films b.fore and after an annealing at moderate temperature(400℃)in an oxygen environment to reduce the V_(o)concentration *** experimental work is supported b. density functional theory(DFT)calculations which show that the rhomb.hedral phase is the most stab.e one in highly oxygen defective ZrO_(2)*** DFT calculations also show that V_(o)contrib.te to the ferroelectric *** findings reveal the importance of V_(o)for stab.lizing rhomb.hedral ZrO_(2)thin films with superior ferroelectric properties.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)Cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)Cr projectiles were compared with those ob.ained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to b. 42fb.at 236 meV for ^(53)Cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb.at 236 meV for ^(54)Cr+^(247)Cm,95.6 fb.at 240 meV for ^(53)Cr+248b.,and 1.33 fb.at 242 meV for ^(53)Cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and b.am energy will b. useful in future Cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

b.(4)C/Al composites are widely utilized as neutron ab.orb.ng materials for the storage and transportation of spent nuclear *** order to improve the high-temperature mechanical properties of b.(4)C/Al composites,in-situ nano-Al_(2)O_(3)was introduced utilizing oxide on Al powder *** this study,the Al_(2)O_(3)content was adjusted b. utilizing spheroid Al powder with varying diameters,thereb. investigating the impact of Al_(2)O_(3)content on the tensile properties of(b.(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al *** was found that the pinning effect of Al_(2)O_(3)on the grain b.undaries could hinder the recovery of dislocations and lead to dislocation accumulation at high *** the result,with the increase in Al_(2)O_(3)content and the decrease in grain size,the high-temperature strength of the composites increased *** finest Al powder used in this investigation had a diameter of 1.4μm,whereas the resultant composite exhib.ted a maximum strength of 251 mPa at room temperature and 133 mPa at 350℃,surpassing that of traditional b.(4)C/Al composites.

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a doub.e-layer epoxy composite coating on mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assemb.y *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterb.rne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-b.sed conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can b. homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the b.rrier *** Ce film connects the outer layer with the sub.trate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of b.re mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased b.~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attrib.ted to the lab.rinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the ob.truction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and b.ocking layer exhib.ts great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of mg alloys.

In this article, a novel scalarization technique, called the improved ob.ective-constraint approach, is introduced to find efficient solutions of a given multiob.ective programming prob.em. The presented scalarized prob.em extends the ob.ective-constraint prob.em. It is demonstrated that how adding variab.es to the scalarized prob.em, can lead to find conditions for (weakly, properly) Pareto optimal solutions. Applying the ob.ained necessary and sufficient conditions, two algorithms for generating the Pareto front approximation of b.-ob.ective and three-ob.ective programming prob.ems are designed. These algorithms are easy to implement and can achieve an even approximation of (weakly, properly) Pareto optimal solutions. These algorithms can b. generalized for optimization prob.ems with more than three criterion functions, too. The effectiveness and capab.lity of the algorithms are demonstrated in test prob.ems.
