magnetic resonance imaging is considered the ＂gold standard＂ technique for quantifying thigh muscle and fat cross-sectional area. We have developed a semi-automated technique to segment seven thigh compartments in persons with spinal cord injury. Thigh magnetic resonance images from 18 men（18–50 years old） with traumatic motor-complete spinal cord injury were analyzed in a blinded fashion using the threshold technique. The cross-sectional area values acquired by thresholding were compared to the manual tracing technique. The percentage errors for thigh circumference were（threshold： 170.71 ± 38.67; manual： 169.45 ± 38.27 cm2） 0.74%, subcutaneous adipose tissue（threshold： 65.99±30.79; manual： 62.68 ± 30.22） 5.2%, whole muscle（threshold： 98.18 ± 20.19; manual： 98.20 ± 20.08 cm2） 0.13%, femoral bone（threshold： 6.53 ± 1.09; manual： 6.53 ± 1.09 cm2） 0.64%, bone marrow fat（threshold： 3.12 ± 1.12; manual： 3.1 ± 1.11 cm2） 0.36%, knee extensor（threshold： 43.98 ± 7.66; manual： 44.61 ± 7.81 cm2） 1.78% and % intramuscular fat（threshold： 10.45 ± 4.29; manual： 10.92 ± 8.35%） 0.47%. Collectively, these results suggest that the threshold technique provided a robust accuracy in measuring the seven main thigh compartments, while greatly reducing the analysis time.

In the realm of bioinformatics and computational biology, the most rudimentary data upon which all the analysis is built is the sequence data of genes, proteins and RNA. The sequence data of the entire genome is the solution to the genome assembly problem. The scope of this contribution is to provide an overview on the art of problem-solving applied within the domain of genome assembly in the next- generation sequencing （NGS） platforms. This article discusses the major genome assemblers that were proposed in the literature during the past decade by outlining their basic working principles. It is intended to act as a qualitative, not a quantitative, tutorial to all working on genome assemblers pertaining to the next generation of sequencers. We discuss the theoretical aspects of various genome assemblers, identifying their working schemes. We also discuss briefly the direction in which the area is headed towards along with discussing core issues on software simplicity.

Objective:To evaluate in vitro antioxidant and antibacterial activity of methanolic extract of Arnebia benthamii（***） whole ***:Plasmid damage was analyzed by agarose gell *** thymus DNA was monitored by TBARS ***, reducing power and lipid peroxidation was evaluated by using standard *** assay was monitored by disc diffusion ***:DPPH radical scavenging and hydroxyl radical scavenging potential of the plant revealed that the extract to be active radical ***(Fe3+-Fe2+) power and lipid peroxidation inhibition efficiency（TBARS assay） of the extract was also evaluated and the extract showed promising activity in preventing lipid peroxidation and might prevent oxidative damages to *** extract offered a significant protection against plasmid and calf thymus UNA damage induced by hydroxyl radicals. The extract was also evaluated on different bacterial strains and the maximum antibacterial activity was exhibited against Escherichia coli（***） when compared with standard drug. Conclusions:These findings demonstrate that the methanol extract of *** has excellent anti-oxidant activities and could be considered as a potential source of lead molecules for pharmaceutical industries.

The present study investigated the effects of different dietary forage to concentrate ratios on animal performance, and enteric and manure greenhouse gas emissions in growing *** male murrah calves(153.5 ± 18.17 kg; 6 to 12 months) were randomly assigned to 3 dietary treatments and fed corn fodder, wheat straw and concentrate in 3 different proportions: 20:60:20(C20); 20:40:40(C40) and 10:30:60(C60), for a period of 120 *** dietary concentrate proportion had no significant(P > 0.05) effect on dry matter intake(DmI) but increased crude protein(CP) and total digestible nutrient intake(P mpared with C20 and for C40, these did not differ with C20 and C60(P > 0.05).The apparent digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and CP were higher(P mpared with C20 whereas, ether extract and neutral detergent fiber digestibilities were not affected(P > 0.05).Daily methane(CH_4) emission(g/d), CH_4 energy loss(mJ/d) and CH_4 yield(CH_4 g/kg organic matter intake [OmI], CH_4 g/kg digestible OmI, and CH_4% of metabolizable energy intake) were significantly higher for C20 compared with C60(P methane yield as g/kg DmI although lower for C60 compared with C20 but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05).manure CH_4(g/kg DmI) and nitrous oxide(N_2O mg/kg nitrogen) emissions were not affected(P > 0.05), but N_2O emission on mg/kg Dm basis was significantly higher(P m the manure of calves fed C60 than that for ***, increasing dietary concentrate proportion improved animal performance, and reduced enteric CH_4 emission(g/day) without any significant effect on manure N_2O(mg/kg nitrogen) and CH_4 emissions.

For a system of current interest（composed of charm, anticharm and a pair of light quarks）, we show trends in phenomenological implications of QCD-based improvements to a simple quark model treatment. We employ a resonating group method to render this difficult four-body problem manageable. We use a quadratic confinement so as to be able to improve beyond the Born approximation. We report the position of the pole corresponding to the D^0D^0＊ molecule for the best fit of a model parameter to the relevant QCD simulations. We point out the interesting possibility that the pole can be shifted to 3872 me V by introducing another parameter I0 that changes the strength of the interaction in this one component of X（3872）. The revised value of this second parameter can guide future trends in modeling of the full exotic meson X（3872）. We also report the changes with I_0 in the S-wave spin averaged cross sections for D^0D^0＊-→ωJ/ψ and D^0D^0＊-→ρJ/ψ. These cross sections are important regarding the study of QGP（quark gluon plasma）.

In this paper, we consider an operator Da which maps a polynomial P（z） in to DaP（z）：= np（z）＋（a-z）P＇（z）, where and obtain some Lγ inequalities for lucanary polynomials having zeros in /z/ 〈 k 〈 1. Our results yields several generaliza- tions and refinements of many known results and also provide an alternative proof of a result due to Dewan et al. [7], which is independent of Laguerre＇s theorem.

This paper investigates how economic policy uncertainty affects firms’frequency and their choice of financial instruments to raise *** applying a three-step sequential framework over a sample of 6834 publicly listed US non-financial firms,we find that during periods of high economic uncertainty,firms raise capital more frequently with a preference toward debt *** empirical findings suggest that firms prefer debt financing over equity financing to avoid ownership dilution and high equity *** rise in leverage during periods of high economic uncertainty highlights the importance of scrutinizing policy tools used to stabilize the economy during such times.

This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.
