Evaluation of the nutritional value of Artemia nauplii for European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae

Adapted European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 days post-hatching(dph)with a primary weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up to 46 dph using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude protein from fish meal,powder milk,and poultry egg)concurrently with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group(DHAS)or Fish oil+20%Vitamin C(FOVC),or Fish oil+20%Vitamin E(FOVE),or Fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.E(FOCE),or Fish oil only(FO).At 46 dph,groups of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and FOVE exhibited the highest final body weight,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest feed conversion ***,larvae in FOVC displayed the lowest final body weight,total length,weight gain,average daily gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency ratio,and survival%as well as the highest feed conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no pathological alteration as well as an improvement in the structure with DHAS,FOVE,FOVC,and FOCE co-additives compared to *** peroxidase enzyme(GPx)recorded the highest rates(Pmia supplemented with DHAS and FOVE followed by FOCE and *** the lowest record for GPx activity was noted in the FO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia nauplii with fish oil+vitamin E in single or in companion with vitamin C as cheap antioxidants support *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy during the critical weaning period.

Incidence and predictors of hypocalcemia in end-stage renal disease patients on denosumab therapy: A systematic review and metaanalysis

BACKGROUND Denosumab inhibits the receptor activator of nuclear factor *** markedly increases bone mineral density and has been proven to reduce the risk of ***,numerous adverse effects,notably hypocalcemia,are prevalent in patients with end-stage renal disease(ESRD).AIm To analyze the incidence and predictors of hypocalcemia caused by denosumab compared to control in patients with *** We conducted this study in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and meta-analyses ***,Scopus,Cochrane Central,and EmBASE were systematically searched from inception through march *** original studies investigating the effects of denosumab on patients with ESRD compared to control were *** primary outcomes of our study were the incidence of mild,severe,and very severe *** outcomes included serum levels of intact parathyroid hormone,calcium,and *** results were pooled and analyzed using a random-effects *** Seven articles comprising 3240 patients were included in our *** treated with denosumab had a significantly increased incidence of mild hypocalcemia[risk ratio(RR):2.79;95%confidence interval(CI):0.99-7.91;P=0.05;I²=37%]and of very severe hypocalcemia(RR:9.58;95%CI:1.58-57.98;P=0.01;I²=49%).However,an increase in the occurrence of severe hypocalcemia was non-significant(RR:4.23;95%CI:0.47-38.34;P=0.20;I²=96%).Alternatively,denosumab showed a significant decrease in serum intact parathyroid hormone[mean difference(mD):-433.20,95%CI:-775.12 to-91.28,I2=98%,P=0.01],while there was a non-significant decrease in phosphate(mD:-0.47,95%CI:-1.35 to 0.41,I2=88%,P=0.30)and calcium levels(mD:-0.33,95%CI:-0.95 to 0.29,I2=94%,P=0.29).CONCLUSION Our study demonstrated that denosumab is significantly associated with mild and very severe hypocalcemia in patients with ESRD making it necessary to detect and prevent this side effect of treatment.

On the line of a previous work on the spectral properties of some of heteroaryl chalcone, the effect of medium acidity and photoreactivity of 3-（4-dimethylamino-phenyl）-l-（2,5-dimethyl-thiophen-3-yl）-propenone （DDTP） has been investigated in dimethylformamide and in chloromethane solvents such as methylenechloride, chloroform and carbon tetrachloride. The dye solution （ca. 5×10^-4 mol·L^-1 in DmF） gives a good laser emission in the range 470 --560 nm with emission maximum at 515 nm upon pumping by nitrogen laser （λex=337.1 nm）. The laser parameters such as gain coefficient （a）, emission cross section （Cre） and half life energy （E1/2） at maximum laser emission are also determined.

microstructure and mechanical properties of AA6063 aluminum alloy wire fabricated by friction stir back extrusion(FSBE) process

In the present work,the friction stir back extrusion(FSBE)process was used as a novel method for the fabrication of AA6063 aluminum alloy *** electron microscopy(SEm)equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),tensile and hardness tests were *** FSBE via the rotational speed of 475 r/min resulted in fine equiaxed grains,and the mean grain size decreased from 179.0μm to 15.5μm due to the occurrence of dynamic recrystallization(DRX).Heat generated by the FSBE changed the size and volume fraction of the mg2Si precipitated *** minimum particle size and maximum volume fraction obtained in the sample were processed by rotational speeds of 475 and 600 r/min,*** 475-r/min sample had the maximum hardness value due to having the lowest grain size(i.e.,15.5μm)and the presence of many fine mg2Si precipitates in the aluminum *** increasing rotational speed up to 600 r/min,the hardness decreased,owing to the growth of both grains and *** FSBE process with a rotational speed of 475 r/min increased the tensile strength(from 150 to 209 mPa)and ductility(from 21.0%to 30.2%)simultaneously.

We investigate the spectral response of nanostructured copper oxides thin film. Gold was doped in two different concentrations(2% and 4%) using the spray method. A novel ammonia gas sensor at various concentrations(0–500 ppm)was fabricated by replacing CuO films with a clad region. In addition, the effect of gold doping on structural, optical,and morphological properties has been demonstrated. The study shows that the spectral intensity increases linearly with ammonia concentration. The 4% Au doped CuO presents higher sensitivity compared with 2% doped and pure copper oxides. Time response characteristics of the sensor are also reported.

Fractional order modeling and control of dissimilar redundant actuating system used in large passenger aircraft

In this paper, a methodology has been developed to address the issue of force fighting and to achieve precise position tracking of control surface driven by two dissimilar *** nonlinear dynamics of both actuators are first approximated as fractional order models. Based on the identified models, three fractional order controllers are proposed for the whole system. Two Fractional Order PID（FOPID） controllers are dedicated to improving transient response and are designed in a position feedback configuration. In order to synchronize the actuator dynamics, a third fractional order PI controller is designed, which feeds the force compensation signal in position feedback loop of both actuators. Nelder-mead（N-m） optimization technique is employed in order to optimally tune controller parameters based on the proposed performance criteria. To test the proposed controllers according to real flight condition, an external disturbance of higher amplitude that acts as airload is applied directly on the control surface. In addition, a disturbance signal function of system states is applied to check the robustness of proposed controller. Simulation results on nonlinear system model validated the performance of the proposed scheme as compared to optimal PID and high gain PID controllers.

The four isolates solid complexes:[La(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·3H_(2)O,[Nd(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·4H_(2)O,[Eu(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·2H_(2)O,and[Ce(RHC)(NO_(3))_(2)]·5H_(2)O that obtained by the reaction of the nitrate salts of the Ce(Ⅲ),Eu(Ⅲ),Nd(Ⅲ)and La(Ⅲ)ions and rhodamie C(RHC)ligand were interpretative using elemental analysis(C,H and N),molar conductivity,infrared,electronic,fluorescence and 1H-NmR spectra to achieve the speculated suitable *** low molar conductance values of the synthesized RHC complexes concluded the non-electrolytic *** infrared spectra recorded the absence of stretching vibrationν(OH)of the—COOH and presence of two new vibration bands at 1597~1601 and 1383~1399 cm^(-1)which were assigned toνas(COO-)andνs(COO-).The difference between them revealed that the carboxylate group acts as a bidentate ligand.1HNmR spectra of Europium and lanthanum(Ⅲ)complexes were supported the FTIR results based on the absent of proton of the carboxylic ***,the microanalytical and spectroscopic results deduced that RHC acts as a monobasic bidentate ligand,and coordinated to the central metal(Ⅲ)ions via the two oxygen atoms of deprotonated carboxylic *** studies were performed on the metal complexes of Ce^(3+),Tb^(3+),Th^(4+),Gd^(3+)and La^(3+),that referred a quenching in the fluorescene intensity of rhodamine C in the aqueous state after *** antimicrobial assessment against some kind of bacteria and fungi were also checked and recorded enhancement in case of their complexes.

Rare earths(REs) play a key role in distorting spinel structure by creating some defects at the lattice sites and make them suitable for magnetodielectric *** the present study,the nanoferrites of CuRE0.02Fe1.98O4,where REs=Y^(3+),Yb^(3+),Gd^(3+),were prepared using one step sol-gel *** prepared samples are copper ferrite(CFO),yttrium doped copper ferrite(Y-CFO),ytterbium doped copper ferrite(Yb-CFO) and gadolinium doped copper ferrite(Gd-CFO),*** single-phase structure of all the REs doped nanoferrites was determined by X-ray diffraction(XRD) *** porosity,agglomerations and grain size of the REs doped copper ferrite were examined using field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm) *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)elaborates the phase formation and environmental effects on the REs doped nanoparticles(NPs).The recorded room temperature m-H loops from a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm) elucidate the magnetic properties of the REs doped spinel *** magnetic saturation(ms) was calculated in the range of 23.08 to 51.78 emu/*** calculated coercivity values(272.6 to 705.60 Oe) confirm the soft magnetic behavior of REs doped copper ***,the electromagnetic and dielectric properties were assessed using a Vector network analyzer(VNA) from 1 to 6 *** permeability,permittivity,dielectric tangent loss and electric modulus of the REs doped spinel ferrites illustrate that the prepared NPs may be suitable for microwave and high frequency applications.

The Impact of Simulation Education on Self-Efficacy in Pre-Registration Nursing Students

This literature review primarily aims to explore and synthesise the previous studies in simulation education research conducted over the past five years related to the effects of simulation training on the self-efficacy of undergraduate pre-registration nursing students. The second aim of this study is to explore additional outcome variables that were examined in the previous studies. Five electronic databases were searched systematically. These databases were mEDLINE, CINAHL Plus, Scopus, Embase and PsycINFO. The PICO model was employed to identify the search terms, with a thesaurus being used to provide synonyms. Reference lists of relevant articles were examined and hand searches of journals were also undertaken. The quality of each study was assessed using the Simulation Research Rubric (SRR). A total of 11 studies were included. All studies explored the impact of simulation education on undergraduate pre-registration nursing. Six studies explored nursing students’ competence and performance and two papers examined their critical thinking. Problem solving, learning motivation, communication skills and knowledge acquisition were examined once. The majority of studies indicated that simulation training has a positive impact on pre-registration nursing students’ self-efficacy and other outcome variables. Furthermore, the study results indicate that simulation training is more dependable than traditional training, and students were extremely satisfied with the simulation training. However, most of the studies included in this review had several gaps, including study design, sample size and dissimilarities between the scales used. Further research with large samples, reliable and valid instruments, and outcomes measures (such as critical thinking and transferability of skills) is required to provide better insight into the effectiveness of simulation in undergraduate nursing education. .
