Transport mechanism in chemically reactive hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic micro-organisms over a curved oscillatory surface

This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective lewis number.

laser direct deposition （lDD） of metallic components is an advanced technology of combining CAD/CAm （computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing）, high power laser, and rapid prototyping. This technology uses laser beam to melt the powders fed coaxiaUy into the molten pool by the laser beam to fabricate fuUy dense metallic components. The present article mainly studies the lDD of Ti-6Al-4V alloy, which can be used to fabricate aircraft components. The mechanical properties of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, fabricated by lDD, are obtained using the tension test, and the oxygen content of used powders and deposited specimens are measured. In the present article, it can be seen that the mechanical properties obtained using this method are higher than the ones obtained by casting, and equal to those got by wrought anneal. One aircraft part has been made using the lDD process. Because of this aircraft part, with sophisticated shape, the effect of the laser scanning track on the internal soundness of the deposited part was discussed.

Phase transformation behavior of Ti50-x/2Ni50-x/2Cux (x=2, 5, 15) alloys was investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results show that Ti50-x/2Ni50-x/2Cux alloys undergo a two-stage martensitic transformation on cooling and transform reversely in one stage on heating when treated at 823K for 5 hours. Heat treatment has no effect on the transformation behavior of Ti49Ni49Cu2 alloy but does influence that of Ti47.5Ni47.5Cu5 alloy and Ti42.5Ni42.5Cu15 alloy. Effect of heat treatment is related with precipitation of CuNiTi phase. The maximum recoverable elongation of Ti49Ni49Cu2 wire is about 6%.

Investigation on the mechanical properties of sintered porous copper compacts

In line with recent attention on porous metals having low and medium porosities in the range of 20-50%, this paper studies the effect of porosity on the mechanical properties of sintered copper compacts. Experiments were designed to investigate the effect of porosity, applied stress and sliding velocity on the wear rate of copper compacts, leading to the finding that the effects of both porosity and applied stress of the wear test on the wear rate are approximately similar and higher than that of sliding velocity. The investigation concerning the effect of porosity on compressive strength indicated that the stress-strain curve of high-porosity compact exhibited identifiable ultimate strength points, though low-porosity compact showed distinct stages of elastic plastic behavior.

The effects of the temperature of the aluminum melt and the aluminum content in the preform on the phases and structure of the reacted preform have been investigated by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron *** has been shown that TiC phase is prone to be synthesized with the increasing of the temperature of the aluminum melt and the decreasing of the aluminum powder content in the preform, and that the size of TiC particle becomes fine with the increasing of the temperature and the decreasing of the aluminum powder content.

DNS in evolution of vorticity and sign relationship in wake transition of a circular cylinder:(pure)mode A

In the present paper,the spatio-temporal evolution of vorticity in the first wake instability,i.e.,(pure)mode A,is investigated in order to understand the wake vortex dynamics and sign relationships among vorticity *** numerical simulation(DNS)for the flow past a circular cylinder is performed,typically at a Reynolds number of 200,in the three-dimensional(3-D)wake *** to characteristics of time histories of fluid forces,three different stages are identified as the computational transition,the initial stage and fully developed *** the second initial stage,the original two-dimensional spanwise vortices become obviously three-dimensional associated with the streamwise or vertical vorticity intensified up to about *** a matter of fact,these additional vorticities,caused by the intrinsic 3-D instability,are already generated firstly on cylinder surfaces early in the computational transition,indicating that the three-dimensionality appeared early near the *** evolution of additional components of vorticity with features the same as mode A shows that(pure)mode A can be already formed in the late computational *** careful analysis of the vorticity field on the front surface,in the shear layers and near wake at typical times,two sign laws are *** illustrate intrinsic relationships among three vorticity components,irrelevant to the wavelength or Fourier mode and Reynolds number in(pure)mode *** importantly,the origin of streamwise vortices is found and explained by a new physical mechanism based on the theory of vortex-induced *** a result,the whole process of formation and shedding vortices with these vorticities is firstly and completely *** characteristics are presented in detail.

Effect of sodium replacement on the quality characteristics of pastırma(a dry-cured meat product)

The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(mSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving mSK anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of mSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement mSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.
